I've always wanted to try eyelash extensions, but I was worried about all the horror stories and seeing how some of my friends had really bad jobs done that ruined their lashes didn't help my enthusiasm. So I had to do some detailed research, until I saw a close friend of mine wear her extensions and they looked so natural and delicate! So my friend referred me to Kayla. When it comes to appointments, Kayla was really accommodating. I met her for a consultation and she answered all my burning questions and paranoia. She was really patient and was not pressing. So I felt comfortable. She showed me and explained the entire process to me so that I could learn how to keep the health of my lashes and how to maintain the eyelash extensions. I didn't know what look I wanted other than for it to look natural and not completely dramatic. She asked me about my lifestyle like if I liked swimming or wore glasses so that she can factor that into the look I wanted. She also cleaned up my brows really nicely. In the photos I am only wearing base makeup (foundation, concealer, blush, and bronzer) no eye or brow makeup at all. My lashes are still very clean and healthy, none of my natural lashes fell out nor did the extensions themselves. I was worried they would fall out a little because my eyes are sensitive and got watery because I've never had someone touching my eye area before, but the lashes survived! Overall it was a really great first experience. I felt comfortable. I felt that I understood everything. Having fun with beautiful lashes without compromising my own eyelashes is wonderful. My morning routine is cut in half! And best of all, she offers a really great price for the good quality results. TIP- her shop is in a plaza like place. Not hard to find, but when you enter the main entrance, follow the suite numbers! It threw me off at first, because I never seen a place like this before. I will be back for my refill!! read more

Definitely would not recommend. I had my brows done and they are terrible. The shape is so different from my natural shape, she shaved like half my brows off and i have thin brows. As soon as I saw my brows I knew she messed up. They were super thick, straight across, there was no arch to them. She said they would shrink (which they didn't), and the shape could be adjusted at touch up. Against my better judgement I went back to her for the touch up, and she just didn't understand my concerns because nothing changed other than the bad shape being darkened, and then she charged me for the touch up even though she put me under the impression that the price included touch up. Had I known she would charge me for the touch up, I would never have gone back to her, why would I pay the person who messed them up to attempt to fix them?When they healed, I sent her pictures of how bad my brows still looked and I requested a refund. She then ignored my messages. She may have had a bad day on my brows, but she could have fixed it by refunding me my money so I can get them fixed somewhere else. Kayla recently microbladed my eyebrows and I am in love with them! I was tired of doing my eyebrows every morning and heard about microblading through a friend. Hers looked good so I decided to give GimmeBrows a try. Kayla was able to do the initial consult and the procedure on the same day, which was awesome, given my hectic schedule. She was very friendly and professional. She listened my request and made sure I was happy with the preliminary "drawing" of my brows before she went ahead with the ink. Given the sensitivity of the area, I expected a lot more pain/trauma but it wasn't bad at all! The whole process took about 3 hours. Be warned, some swelling will occur in the hours/days after and the line can look a lot thicker as a result! My brows were very dark and thick for the first couple days. Once the swelling went down and after some peeling, they were absolutely perfect. Use the ointment she give you to help with the flaking/swelling! Overall, great prices and amazing attention to detail. Wish I'd gotten this done years ago. I am happy to report that I now love my brows--they're fuller & perfectly symmetrical! Can't wait to see her again for my touch up and final look. read more

My usual girl was out of town for Christmas & I had asked Kayla if she could do a simple fill for me. I get FLAT size 12 D curls. I told her if she can't do it that would be fine.. she insisted on taking all of my lashes off and applying a brand new set. I showed her a picture of what my lashes usually look like after being done. She said she would be able to do them the same. I don't do lashes, so I don't know the what mink are.. I shouldn't be expected to know the difference. No wonder she needs to take them off for every fill she does, she doesn't isolate correctly at all. My lashes were all clumped together and hurt so bad. They did not look anywhere close to what I asked for. I asked her why she would continue to go ahead and remove my lashes and apply hers knowing that her finished product wouldn't be the same. She insisted it was my fault because she told me they were mink. I don't do lashes! She should have explained! Also instead of telling me she could do them, she should have told me she HAS NEVER HEARD of FLAT lashes until after she was done. I was so unhappy my lashes turned out terrible. When I went back to my original lash girl she showed me how stuck together and the over use of glue this girl used. I will never go back to her. I do no recommend to anyone. She refused to admit her mistake, and I felt like she was just eager to possibly steal my business from my lash girl. Advice to Kayla.. be honest & practice your isolation and lighten up on the amount of glue you use. Sad this went how it did. Terrible. read more
