I want to start by saying this review has NOTHING to do with my stylist, who was and is amazing. I…read morewill definitely be returning because of her. However, my experience with the front desk staff and the booking process was incredibly frustrating to say the least. I called a couple of months in advance to schedule my appointment and then called again the Monday before my appointment (that Saturday) to confirm the price of the service I wanted (balayage). The woman I spoke to quoted me $203.00, which I was fine with and had planned my finances accordingly. When I arrived for my appointment, everything with the stylist went smoothly, but when I went to check out, I was told the total was $328.93--$125.93 MORE than the price I was quoted just days earlier. This is a huge discrepancy, and it caught me off guard, especially after I had specifically confirmed the price only days before. Not only was I frustrated by the unexpected cost, but it also meant I couldn't tip my stylist as generously as I had planned. This lack of transparency and poor communication from the front desk is completely unacceptable. It's a huge disappointment because the stylist was wonderful, but the experience overall was marred by the miscommunication. I strongly urge the salon to address their pricing clarity and ensure that customers are quoted accurate information to avoid situations like this in the future. Just a total bummer of an experience.

He obviously pays attention to the client's breathing regarding when to not go so deep, or to work deeper. He gets the importance of the human connection during body work, he is not a person who just gives you a rub down. Marc also was very understanding when I showed up to the wrong studio for the appointment, which was partially due to my not thinking correctly because of neck pain. So much appreciation and I'll definitely be visiting Marc's healing hands again!

That alone is worth a five star review. 2 It took him less than 2 minutes to know the level of pressure I can handle and he went right to work as what felt like a physical therapy massage. There were times I felt the pressure was a bit heavy but I focused on my breathing & in the end, I felt fantastic. But then, I DID mention I prefer deep tissue massage. He was ready & willing to lighten up. But I feel like my condition requires a strong approach. 3 This guy is fairly new to our community & I feel strongly about supporting local goodness. 4 I felt very comfortable as a topless woman (covered with only a sheet) in a room with a man I just met. He's considerate & respectful. 5 He's incredibly knowledgeable informing me along the way of what exactly he's working on & how I can get continued relief. It did help that I came in with X -Rays so he could see the damage sustained from a serious fall in 2012. So if you happen to book an appointment & have X-Rays, bring em! I understand he accepts PIP & L&I for those who have it. His rates are very reasonable with a sliding scale that was very refreshing in this selfish & greedy world. He seems to care more about our wellness than that "Mighty Dollar". It's that Aloha/Whidbey mentality I remember from 50 years ago where people actually cared & helped each other. (I miss that!) I have been seeing his ads for a while & finally took a chance on him. I wasn't able to get in at his Freeland office and it turns out he has a studio where he lives that he works out of in such cases. So, to sum it up ... Marc Juneau's massage is very effective, comfortable, educational, reasonably priced & available in or out of office. I'm excited to have found this combination right here on S. Whidbey! Get on his books as he's filling up FAST!!

I left a review on Google as well, but for you Yelpers out there, here we go. I have been visiting…read moremassage therapists for the better part of 30 years and Surin (Sue) is one of the best I have seen. I have been doing PT on a ruptured Achilles and all that comes with it for about a month, which results in me doing leg day effectively 4-5 times a week. The work has been good for my muscles and correcting issues, but it's also a lot and my hips, thighs and feet needed some work. She leveraged multiple different types of massage modalities and helped me ID what was in need of more work. AND, while asking me to detail the situation to work on, she didn't count that in the massage time giving me the full 60 minutes in addition to the time we spent talking about the needs. I feel MUCH better and am still taking in as much water as I can to flush my system of the crap she released with the work. I regret not living here (from AZ) as I would see her more often, but I am sending my daughter to her instead. Heartily recommend, especially if you have real areas that need work. She has good advice and options to help, and she does great work!

I've been looking for a massage for a while. The massage therapist I normally go to has been booked…read moresolid forever. I noticed Mirage Massage just opened and figured it would be easier to book an appointment there. So, I went to their online site (www.miragemassagewhidbey.com) and was able to book an appointment for the next week! The clinic was only 20 minutes away by foot from my house, so I got in some steps and walked. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and walked in to find a little waiting room/reception with a couch and chair. Not much in the way of decor, but this clinic just opened, so that isn't a surprise. Shortly after I arrived my masseuse, Sue, walked in and introduced herself and led me to the massage table. The massage room was comfortably arranged with the table in the center with an overstuffed chair on one side and a side table with the music speaker, hot towel machine, and accents. I regret I didn't strike up a conversation with Sue to find out how long she had been working as a masseuse or anything else about her work history, but I still had an enjoyable and relaxing massage. I just hope she doesn't get so busy that I can't book future appointments!
