Love this place! Breanna does a great job. I've been coming here for months now and each time am more and more pleased with the results. They take their time doing a precise job and honestly it's a very relaxing setting which makes the whole process better. Their prices are super reasonable and because they use IPL all the treatments are painless. I've been to other laser studios and they were terribly painful, but you don't feel much of anything with the ones Sedora uses. Before I started treatments I asked to do a spot test on my ankle to see if I had any reaction, which they were happy to accommodate (for free). Nothing bubbled up and I returned the next week go start treatments. They are also very accommodating with appointments, I've had a few last minute cancels (ie weather, etc) and they didn't mind moving me around last second. They are real nice, but I am not happy. I went to get laser on my stomach lining and today is the last time I'm going to this spa. I know of other places that do this treatment and people that have got it done. Decided to go to Sedora because it was closer to my house. Today I went and a girl with colored hair and tattoos lightly ran the laser machine for less than 2 minutes. I wasn't thinking about it too much because my mind was distracted. I have been here 4 times and I barely see any results. The laser is supposed to be passed for about 10-15 minutes. She told me today it takes 6 to 12 weeks to see results and this is ridiculous. I was recommended to try Sedora Spa by my sister in law. She began getting laser treatment, she raved about the process being painless! I was a little apprehensive walking in because I didn't know what to except pain wise ( I was SUPER NERVOUS). I met with Nancy, she was super sweet and understanding that I was a nervous wreck! I mean it was my first time lasering anything period can ya blame a girl! Nancy took her time to explain to me the process of the lasering. Her staff was also very sweet and friendly and totally understood my anxiety. I seriously almost ran out the room ( LOL) but she did everything she could to rest assure that I felt super comfortable. I've been to this place several times already and every time i go i get a different girl to do my laser treatments because the girl who I started with originally is always booked, out of town on vacation or in the Sedora spa Syracuse! usually when I go is when the switch up happens which is so annoying & unprofessional. Also, whats the deal with the different price changes? i've been getting the same treatment and the last few times after my session the price is never the same?! Goes up by like $50+ i asked about it and was told their prices went up. I asked where is this change so i can see the new pricing the lady told me online and when i checked the prices were still the same!!! makes me feel like they are trying to sucker me for more money!!! it's always cold the heating system they have is not and has not been working for as long as they have been there from what i hear from the staff/other clients. I literally have to get services done with my coat on if not i will freeze! the spa is not relaxing at all, seems like it's just a place of business for a quick walk in & out for facial services & that's all. I've never felt relaxed gettin anything done here. i asked about getting a package and was never given one instead i pay as i go which cost more at the end.... Overall, They need a new heating/cooling system for the seasons, air purifiers, Staff needs to tone it down they are loud the walls are paper thin you can hear everything thru them, add relaxing music to the place to give it a spa like ambiance. 2 stars because i've noticed a significant change with work being done over the course of some months -3 stars for the place not really being a "Spa" read more

The very young kids who run this place are sweet, but not business savvy at all. I bought a groupon for six laser hair removal treatments. The appointments were so far apart from each other that the treatments took nearly a year. For two appointments I was called literally a half hour before my scheduled time, to cancel. One time it was fifteen minutes before, and I was already in the area. Very, very unprofessional. I saw no progress with the hair removal, and because of the lack of professionalism, I never bothered to go to my last appointment. Yet, they continue to send me emails saying that since I've finished with my last appointment, they want me to come back. I concur with the reviewer who complained about the cleanliness, or lack thereof. The front of the place is quite lovely. But once you go to the back, it becomes a bit scary. Cramped and a little on the nasty side. Finally, I also found the person I had work on me not to be very knowledgeable about the service she was providing and hair removal techniques in general. read more

For my first visit, I have to be honest I did get scars on my nose from the pore extractions, my skin was peeled off in about 6 areas around my nose. The esthetician used paper towel to do the extractions which is super harsh on the face. It was an unpleasant visit, but when I spoke to the manager Nancy who was super sweet, she thankfully refunded me my money back for the acne facial. Two days later, I had come in for a laser hair removal appt that was made before and I met with another manager who was super informative and knowledgeable as well for my session. She also checked my nose and gave me a cream to put on every night. Both managers agreed to check in with me within a week to see how my skin is doing. I came here for a lash lift which I was super excited about. The lift is supposed to last around 8 weeks. Mine lasted about 3 weeks, but after 1 week the lashes started dropping and keep in mind I barely wore any eye makeup during this time so there was no reason for them not to be lifted anymore. I went here for micro needling and the results were AMAZING. I highly recommend it. My skin looks so much younger and vibrant. My skin is tight. And it also got rid of a deep line I had on my lip. I honestly couldn't believe it. Just like that one day I looked in the mirror and it was gone. Breanna did the procedure and she did an excellent job. She kept on making sure I was comfortable and was gentle while administering the micro needling. I highly recommend this spa. And if you go here ask for Breanna, as I said she did an amazing job. Bought a Groupon for a Brazilian and the after wax treatment that is suppose to lighten, tighten and prevent ingrowns and went to redeem it at the Tuckahoe location. Front of house very nicely decorated but that was about it. Arrived 5 minutes before appointment and waited until 15 minutes after my appointment start time before because the one waxer was in with another client then had to get the room ready again. Asked to use the restroom and was directed to the back of the salon where lights were off and walked into a bathroom with white tiles that were visibly filthy and had no toilet paper. As I walked back to the front of the salon to wait (again) I noticed the dirt and dust in the hallway which would very easily be cleaned up by a simple push of the broom. This isn't even the worst part, as I walked into the room for my service, I climbed onto a shaky tilted bed which I swore I would almost fall out of if she needed me to move any certain way. After realizing a typical soft wax was used, I asked about hard wax which the waxer knew nothing about. She redipped the same stick in each time and I was just praying that it was a new bowl of wax for my service. I have to admit this was one of the most painful wax sessions I've endured rating right below my very first brazilian. For the "after wax treatment" she used at least two tools rubbing it all over my newly waxed skin that I know could not be too sanitary unless it is completely disinfected EACH time (which I highly doubt since as soon as she finished using it, it was unplugged, cord wrapped around handle and stashed under the cart.) Still I held onto hope that these services were performed in a sanitary and hygienic environment. Finally as we arrived at the "avocado mask" with the same gloves she used through the entire treatment, she dipped into the container to scoop out a finger full of avocado mask and began to apply it to my new waxed nether region and when realizing she needed more, rather than getting a new clean wax stick, she proceeded to dip her fingers back into the container and scoop out more (certainly NOT hygienic and sanitary). As I laid there waiting for my 10 minute mask to be done (she came back after 7 minutes) I noticed more dirt around the floor in the room. Finally using a BLACK towel, she cleaned off the mask, leaving me with black lint all over my thighs and private areas that was still tacky from the wax, so much lint in fact she joked "Don't worry that black stuff is just lint not hair." I tipped her the appropriate gratuity and ran out of there. NEVER AGAIN. This spa/salon needs to revisit and review their waxing services for a more sanitary and hygienic way to go about what could have been an amazing service. Perhaps charge your receptionist with cleaning and sweeping instead of sitting on her phone face booking. read more

This was a WEIRD spa experience, and NOT in a good way! I found a coupon online for a blackhead facial. They literally had no idea what it even was when I showed up, like it was some coupon someone just made up. There was nothing special about the facial. The whole thing was unprofessional. A young girl "cleaned" my face to start and told me my pores were huge. Then the aesthetician came in (Sky was her name, I think). She was very nice but the whole thing was so BLAH. They use this "special mask" that feels/smells like nothing more than coconut oil and salt. I laughed when she told me people special order this stuff. I could make it at home. I use coconut oil often and am savy about natural skincare. Coconut oil is great, but can be too pore clogging for certain skin types (mine included). The salt was ALL over me. I had to go home and shower immediately after. Huge chunks of salt in my hair, all over my neck, behind my ears- and IN MY EYES! That burned. I laughed it off because I don't like to make a scene, but seriously, salt in your eyes during a facial? Not very relaxing. The place actually isn't relaxing at all. It's so small, the room was REALLY crowded, and just cluttered and dirty. The girls were being so loud in the hallway. There was zero opportunity to relax here. I was told to use castor oil on my face for moisture. The young girl who got me started insisted it was ideal for moisturizing. I commented that castor oil can be very drying to the skin, to which I was told no. If you look up how to use castor oil as a face moisturizer, you will see that it is generally always mixed with a more moisturizing oil (ie: sesame oil, olive oil, coconut oil). Those who are savy about this product know how drying it can be when used incorrectly. While it is great on it's own in some regards, especially for hair, I would never apply it to my face on it's own. After my "blackhead facial" was my eyebrow wax. I specifically wanted my brows waxed, hence the waxing appointment. I can tweeze myself, but I like the smooth feeling after a wax. She just tweezed my brows for me. They looked cleaned up, but not as much as a wax. I made it clear several times I prefer the wax, but was told I didn't need it. I left feeling like it was a waste of money. I would never go back here and I wouldn't recommend it to any of my friends. read more

Go at your own risk. I got scars from a facial here from the pore extractions. These aren't red scars; they are pitted scars on my cheeks and nose. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the facialist, but she was the petite one. Also, when I was there she put stressful, loud music on her cell phone during the steaming and left the room. The music was cringingly loud and unbearable thumpa thumpa. I had to get up and turn it down on her phone. When she came in, I told her I turned it down and she said, "yea, I didn't want you to hear us talking in the lobby." (There was a random guy hanging out in the lobby). Unprofessional place and very stressful experience all around, with the bonus of getting facial scars. Avoid. read more

I've been coming here for waxing for a while. I was already considering looking elsewhere because I was starting to get tired of the constant up selling to laser removal every time I came... But it was close to my house and easy and cheap. I understand it's a business and the up sell is to their benefit, but when someone says no at least five times, maybe mark that down on their profile and stop asking. Today I waited more than 45 min for a lip wax appointment, which should take 5 min, and they tried to talk me in to laser again while I waited. The person who was supposed to do the waxing wasn't even there for the first 25 min and they took someone first who came in at the same time they did... And for some reason that one was taking forever. I would have been waiting even longer, I finally just walked out after 45 min. I made an appointment at another salon on my way out the door.
