I'd recommend not shopping in the late afternoon as the traffic in that area gets pretty congested.

Their selection of vitamins, cleaning products, skincare, herbs, and teas is one of the best in the state for a small, local health store. In the Summer and Autumn, their selection of local produce increases. This year they have done a great job with local organic seedless watermelon and a nice variety of local organic vegetables. The dry goods section is not as expansive as one might find at a big box grocery store, which feels pretty reasonable and is even one of the reasons the store is nice.. it is a genuine, locally-opened small business.. not powering a huge space or warehouse to hold 12 varieties of one packaged item where 1 or 2 types are great. There are still many staple items to choose from. The costs I have compared are not more than the costs of items if they were ordered directly from the producers, they seem fair with prices. They are such a great addition to the area I try to think more of how I can support them instead of focusing on and criticizing minor shortcomings that most small local business face. It is a bit more expensive but we all know it cost a little more to put wholesome foods into our bodies. In the end it is better for us. I love the different types of flour one can get. Next time I wanted to get wholesome/ organic flour to make artisan bread I will definitely get enough to bake rather than buying a 5 lbs bag in the supermarket that goes to waste because of expiration dates. (Previously, you had to special order from the creamery/farm itself). At the cute new shop, you will find an assortment of cheeses (Crooked Face ricotta, havarti, smoked cheddar, etc.--and also many other speciality cheeses from around Maine), meats (ground beef, steaks, etc.), pastas, and some swag (t-shirts, hoodies). The shop is adorable, and I highly recommend Amy's small-batch ricottas. They are truly to die for!!! Pro tip: The Miller's Table, located right next door, makes woodfired loaves of bread. I recommend smearing some basil pesto and/or garlic rosemary ricotta on that bread with some fresh tomatoes for a great snack.
