Their selection of vitamins, cleaning products, skincare, herbs, and teas is one of the best in the state for a small, local health store. In the Summer and Autumn, their selection of local produce increases. This year they have done a great job with local organic seedless watermelon and a nice variety of local organic vegetables. The dry goods section is not as expansive as one might find at a big box grocery store, which feels pretty reasonable and is even one of the reasons the store is nice.. it is a genuine, locally-opened small business.. not powering a huge space or warehouse to hold 12 varieties of one packaged item where 1 or 2 types are great. There are still many staple items to choose from. The costs I have compared are not more than the costs of items if they were ordered directly from the producers, they seem fair with prices. They are such a great addition to the area I try to think more of how I can support them instead of focusing on and criticizing minor shortcomings that most small local business face. I look forward to going to Harvest Time and finding interesting healthy things every time.

It's astonishing that I have only been in this store twice, given the fact that I grew up in Brunswick...Anyway, i finally made it in. It's a smaller store, that feels like what you might encounter in a larger city. It was neat and clean. I couldn't really tell how aisles were organized, however, because I was browsing, it didn't stress me out. We encountered one staff member who "assisted" my sister and it was fine, very transactional, which is fine and again, what you might expect in a big city. Staff at the register were fast and efficient, didn't engage in too much conversation, just supportive of fruit pies I purchased. LOL They had a lot of offerings from some of our favorite local businesses! Standard Baking Company Little Lads Two Fat Cats Union Bagel The prices were competitive as well! They have fresh produce, meat, dairy, eggs, seasonings...pretty much everything you can find at Whole Foods but at a smaller more local scale. I can't wait to go back the next time in town.

Not wanting to spend another $50 on lunch at the usual places in town we decided to grab some tuna salad today and eat outside. I bought an Asian salad with noodles and peanuts and carrots and incredible dressing. I swear, this was the best salad I've had in months if not years. I'm not kidding. Even the carrots stood out, were different. Delicious. The fennel is 2 or 3 times bigger than fennel at the grocery stores, $4.99 (usually about $3.99 at the others) 4 kinds of plantain chips. Fantastic low sugar pineapple soda from Mexico. Beautiful corn. After eating this food today at a picnic table over on Pemaquid Pond, we are doing a complete reversal and going to start shopping here a lot more. Yes it's expensive but vegetables do taste different, esp when they're not flown in from far away. And the attitudes of the employees is joyful and welcoming, such a good feeling. Good Job Rising Tide!

We offer good quality wines that are also good values in the low-medium price range. Local and organic wines, too.

I do not purchase other products as the prices are higher than I can get them elsewhere. 80 percent of the time I have shopped in this store I have been overcharged. Make sure to ask for the itemized receipt and check it carefully to make sure you are not overcharged. When alerting the check out person there is no real apology only some explanation that does not really explain why I was overcharged. I used to buy packaged lunches that were made by Chow Mein and last time I was there I was told they have decided not to carry their products any longer. I no longer shop at Fresh Off the Farm. Oh, one other thing, as far as I know there is no actual bathroom for workers, only a portable toilet outdoors. Concerning since they handle produce, etc.

I work in retail and I would never , ever, treat a customer in this manner. if I could give a negative number that would sum up my shooting experience.

Owner operated and staffed, it's a small business you can support, the items come from their Farm two miles from the stand! They carry everything for your meal preparation needs are. Stocking seasonal produce, local favorites, and state favorites. We arrived just after the flags were hoisted that they were open. Plenty of parking and handicap accessible. Store is perfect sized with ample walking and items displayed at arms length. A farm stand decorated with signage and pictures. Owner greeted us and asked if she could help us find anything, we were looking in the bakery case and did not see the rolls we've heard so much about. It's Sunday and it's known as cinnamon roll day; they are displayed and served in the coffee room, around the corner. We were so early the rolls had not come out yet. With in three minutes they came out hot with melting icing YUM!! You're choice to take a plate or to go container. Plenty of napkins and forks. We sat in our car since it was a cold fall morning to enjoy our treat. The dough has a nice buttery flavor, dry yet not crumbly. The cinnamon and sugar layers had the perfect amount of each that one did not over power the other. For someone who feels breakfast is not complete without bacon, I really enjoyed. $2.99 each was reasonable.
