This place has been here for many years. I used to accompany my grandmother when I was a kid. I've just recently moved back into the neighborhood and was in dire need of a haircut. So, I decided to give this place a shot since it was still around and so close to me. I'm so glad I did! I didn't have an appointment, but they took care of me right away. I have very long and straight hair. I told the stylist to please just cut a little to get rid of some split ends and freshen up my layers. Not only did he do what I wanted, but he exceeded my expectations. I'm in love with my cut. The way he layered makes my hair look fuller and with more volume. He was fast too. I was about to pay when the owner, whom runs the front desk and has been for as long as I can remember, tells me about the mani/pedi specials they have. $22.00 Thurs.-Sat. and $20.00 Tues. & Wed. I thought, "why not take advantage while I'm here?" I asked her if there was a chance I can also get a mani/pedi and she immediately accommodated me. The nail lady, Tere, was awesome. She really did a great job. There's a $1 up charge for the French, but I went ahead with it anyway. It was a great price to begin with, so I didn't mind. It was nice to see that a local business has been able to survive for so long. I recommend this little place to anyone. I love my hair and I love my mani/pedi. Not to mention the price and the overall attentiveness of the owner. I've found my go to salon (again). read more

So I discovered this place out of pure desperation one morning. I was about to leave for the weekend and didn't have time to get a mani/pedi so I got up really early and decided that I'd give this place a try. What a wonderful experience, not only are they open at odd hours so you can pretty much come in outside of the regular rush these types of places have, but they provide efficient and top notch services for a fraction of the price of other places. I got a mani/pedi for under $20 and I was out of there in less then an hour. Beat that! All the ladies who work there are complete characters. I am entertained by their quirky an colorful conversations the whole time I'm there, and the time just flies by. I go there all the time now. Truly a diamond in the rough. read more

This nail salon is everything I love about Hialeah. The walls were decorated with items that were for sale- purses, sunglasses, and hats. Staff sat together and talked about the best places to get mangos, avocados and Cuban coffee. You can tell these women were friends and so were their clients. It's not fancy, it's not that relaxing lol but it's perfect to me. My nails looks awesome. My new spot in Hialeah. read more

I used to come here often when the nail technicians actually knew what they were doing and made sure customers were feeling satisfied. I did NOT want to write this review, but I feel that I have to because I think others should be *warned*. I also respect the manager and I can tell she works way too hard to let something like what happened to me happen to someone else. 1. I walked in for a mani/pedi and left with the exact opposite. I had black nail polish on prior and the nail lady kept complaining about why had that color nail polish and that it was "too hard to take off, to next time pick another color, or to paint it better"... if I could paint it better or if it was easier to take off, then I would not be paying to go to a salon. She ended up not taking all of the black nail polish off. 2. Next, she filed my nails in the way she wanted them to be filed. When I asked her if they could be just a tad more squared, she denied and said they were already squared. 3. I chose a bright red color for hands and feet. Problem is, she did not really bother to clean the outside of my nails. My nail beds were all red, including the ones from my feet. When I asked her if she could please clean them better, she said, "Red is just so hard to take off..." okay? then, why did I come to this nail salon in the first place? 4. My foot is cut up because she mishandled it with a nail tool (not sure what the name is). *Disclaimer: I complained, nicely, several times to my nail technician... she just did not want to do her job. Not every nail technician is like that there. I'm sure the lady who did this to me was new. However, Ginny's Salon Manager, if you are reading this, please do something about it NOW or you will continue to lose clients and it would be a shame because you cannot beat the salon's price anywhere. read more

This place and its staff particularly are an absolute hidden gem. This is the epitome of an old school beauty parlor but the women who work here are seasoned vets who are heavyweights compared to a lightweight a few years out of beauty school working at a high end salon. The main woman, wow I wish I remembered her name- anyways she looks like everyone's needed best friend or loving mother. Big compassionate brown eyes and loving. She is a riot. Full of spice you would think she was 25 with her energy. She actually cares. She went out of her way to help me feel good about myself. I watched her give me layers, her technique is up to date and wow she did amazing. I pointed to a picture and said this is what I want, and she made magic to mold it to my face. The color was excellent also- she answered everything- the dye the use, how color hues work, copper reds blondes, coloring process, how long it will last- just extremely thorough and knowledgeable. I've lived in NYC and Boston and I regulated a Salon featured on a reality show- I've never spoken to someone as knowledgeable- honestly. This woman had an assistant and she was a riot. Lovely lady. These ladies are the best around. Best of all they won't soak your pockets and they will make you feel like a million dollars. I am 33 years old and I thought maybe only women older than me go here- don't let the main colorist/stylist fool you- she is humble but she's got it and they are just as trendy as the next place! I walked in a stranger with greasy straggly hair and left with an amazing new style all around and with friends who felt like family. Amazing experience. read more

I decided to go to this place for a mani/pedi special. This is the worst place ever. For starters, they dont have pedicure chairs. They soak your feet in a plastic container!! And you prop your foot in their lap! Uncomfortable and just plain cheap! The lady doing my feet didnt allow my feet to soak so the nails will get soft. She immediately started. Now lets talk about the quality of the pedicure..( I get ingrown toenails, which is the whole reason I even get pedicures. So I can get them professionally removed.) She didnt remove the ingrown toenail (which all the other pedicure places DO remove it) Its bad enough that she didnt remove it to begin with, in fact, she made both ingrown toenails (I get one on each big toe) more inflamed. I can now barley walk due to the uncomfort of them being inflamed and now I have to spend money to go to ANOTHER pedicure place to get them removed! I seriously have a toe infection from this place. The tools she used I have at home. I could have done everything that she did. They dont scrub your feet or file down corns, bunions, etc. Extremely basic pedicure. For the manicure she cut me TWICE, made me bleed. and she just kept painting my nails! She ignored it and painted over it!! And used polish remover which burned the cuts! She got polish all over my fingers and on the sides of my nails. Very sloppily done. They dont use any sort of top coat to protect the polish from coming off fast. As soon as she was done, I had to get up to pay.. With wet nails. They dont have a dryer you put your nails under, no nail drying spray, anything. This place literally caused me pain. My toes are hurting very bad. Im not a fighter, so I didnt call for a refund. Even though I REALLY should. I even tipped her (when I shouldnt have) But whats done is done. I will never go back to this place & I wouldnt even recommend this place to my worst enemy. I paid $24 to get an infection. read more

So disappointing. I used to go to this place approximately 10 years ago, and I went back to get my nails done. The prices are great of course. But it's true you get what you pay for. Now the staff is funny and friendly so 5 stars to that. But I ended up just doing my toes, because they were going to charge me $10 just to remove gel polish off 7 nails (since I peeled off the other fingers). I felt like she wasn't really paying attention to details. My feel didn't even get exfoliated or scrubbed. Just filed down a little and cuticles were cut. Now the reason I am giving this 2 stars is because the paint job was horrible!!!!!!!! I was pleased with everything until I saw my toes when I got into the car with actual sunlight. There's no place to put your keys down. I had my phone, keys and coffee all in my hands while doing my toes. A bit inconvenient. The nail polishes are displayed you have to dig through a bag to look at colors. read more
