I always arranged for the appointments and aided transportation for my Mother, Peggy Ugent, who passed away on Nov. 3, 2024, at age 99 1/2. She always enjoyed the various hair salon services offered by Myra & Co., and I always appreciated the friendly and professional service given to her every time she was there. Whenever she came home from there, she surely looked liked a transformed person, and which gave her some self esteem in her elderly, late-in-life deteriorating mental and physical state. The worst nail dip job ever! While the staff and nail tech were nice, it was obvious that more training is needed with dip. With 15% tip and a bottled water my total was just shy of $100. It took the tech almost a full hour to take off the dip I came in with (typically it takes no more than 20min TOPS). The fI typically go to an Asian nail spa, spend no more than an hour, $55 with tip and am happy with the results. I only tried going to Myra and Co do to a change in my schedule. When I saw the limited selection of dip colors and that they didn't have the nail samples to show the colors I almost left, and I should have. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because I feel like the tech was really trying, she just needs more training. In response to the comment left by Myra and Company: I will pay for quality, I did not receive quality. The edges are not filled in on my nails, the dip was not thoroughly filed down, the color on my nails is dark in some areas light in others. Here are the picture to prove it. I had been coming to Myra & Company for 37 years, I was 13. On 6/16/2020 I went to get my hair highlighted and cut . It is over bleached and yellow. Highlights started about an 1 1/2 inches from the root. Over the years, I had a few disappointing instances but never asked for a refund or complained . My lip was burnt from a bad wax, which resulted in scabs. I emailed Erica concerning the hair issue and the fact that this was a horrible lax job . I wanted a refund of my money. I was told they do not offer refunds and they "stand by their work" and to come back in to have it "fixed" I also provided the photos of the job. In addition I was going to be overcharged on my eyelash extensions from $75 a fill to $100 and with a different technician not the technician I was using and trusted with the job. As a long term client it's pretty unbelievable. Erica simply doesn't care about losing a client because her mentality is that they will have another client to replace them . I normally would "leave it alone" and go someplace else. Deplorable is all I can say. I have included photos of this . Obviously my profile photo looks nothing like this . I requested Full highlights . 6/16/2020 is when Devin Miller did the job. I posted 6/24/2020 how terrible it looked. The client is always right. Period. My appointment was changed last minute to another stylist. I kept the appt due to schedule constraints and trusted that they would have me in good hands. Big mistake! I can honestly say I went in with better hair than how I left! My highlights were over processed, chunky and uneven. My hair cut was longer on one side than on the other. I wouldnt go back there to have it fixed--you couldnt pay me to go back. The stylist has her vaping pen on the tray with the hair supplies. What was this place?! It was trash and my hair looks like it. Anyway, save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

Don't waste your money. I was supposed to have a Mother's Day package. The 25 minute massage was more like a oil rubdown. I must say my facial by Ruth was excellent but that was it. I received a manicure and pedicure and though the woman was very nice she painted my nails like a 12-year-old would. I was also supposed to get a lunch with my package. They gave me a prepackaged cold chicken Cesar and my other option was Hummus. The chef was out and not even a sandwich was available. I'm supposed to go out of town tomorrow and now I have to redo my nails myself. So frustrating. Not worth the money. read more

Alright, I originally came here to see how they handle acrylic full sets. I called and the receptionist set me up with a nail artist named Dayana. I arrived the day of my appointment and was greeted by friendly staff and my appointment began exactly on time. Dayana has become one of the highlights of my week, not just as a nail artist but as a person. Apart from all this, we begin to discuss the salon which is spotless and they have everything under the sun in one place. Normally I'd tell you they have to skimp on quality somewhere, but I have gotten my nails done here multiple times (now have a standing appointment with Dayana) and I took advantage of a special they had for brow tint, lash lift, and lash tint. Here's where I move to talking about Steph. Not only are my brows and lashes amazing even three weeks later, but she is hilarious and managed to make having someone so close to my face significantly less awkward than it would be in any other circumstance. Also in Steph's favor and the salon's? This is the ONLY time I have gotten my brows waxed where they don't break out at all. This has never happened and I was resigned to tweezing, but now I found Steph. My next new service will probably be cut and color, but I have no reservations that I will absolutely love every second being in the salon as well as the result! Myra and Co.'s greatest success is in hiring not only talented staff but staff that make your visit amazing. OK since I got my first fabulous haircut and fell in love with Myra and Co. things have quickly gone down hill and now I will not be returning. Here is why: When I call to make an appointment they are always prompt about scheduling you, but then 95% of the time you have to wait when you get there for at least another 10 mins. OK that is fine. I don't mind waiting as long as I get good service. Nobody ever asks me if I want anything to drink or if I need any help. I don't know if it's it because I am not one of those ritzy South Miami moms but I am still forking out the same money and deserve the same service. The last time I had to get my haircut from Pila. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes because of scheduling issues and so she couldn't spend as much time on my hair as last time. Let me remind you I just get a simple trim (no coloring). So after going quickly through my hair and barely cutting it and not fully blow drying and styling it afterwards because I was running out of time since I had to wait 30 min., I was done. I go the the counter to pay. The lady says $115 or $109 can't remember but nonetheless ridiculously expensive for the treatment I received and attitude I got from Pila who I learned has mood spells. So I was like whatever she did a good job the first time it's OK, I paid the money and gave her a tip and left. You can read my previous reviews. I loved Pila, but this time she took half the time on my hair, barely did anything, had an attitude, and charged me ever more. . . BULL. Ok so may I add that I usually go to get my fringe (side swept bangs) trimmed from her every 2 weeks and EVERY time she charges me $12 to just get my bangs trimmed. Ok whatever I can even put up with that. The last time I went in I had it. First Pila's attitude was just rude and pompous. I got my bangs cut while I was in another country and ended up getting straight across bangs and to replaces the ones swept to the side. So I was telling her how the lady did it, and she said in a smart ass tone, thank you, but I have been cutting bangs for 10 years I know what I am doing. Cuts my bangs in literally one snip and says I am done. She did not check to make sure if she had cut it properly because I guess she is so confident in her abilities. But his is the best part. I get to the counter and the lady says $15 and I was like excuse me? So I said usually I only pay $12 and now I am paying $15 for something she did not even take time on doing. And the girl apologetically says to me, sorry Pila tells us what to charge her customers based on the technique she uses for cutting, but usually we do not charge customers for their periodic bang trims. Pretty pissed off I paid the money and left. I got home and checked my bangs and of course they weren't done properly and I had to go to somebody else to get them fixed. Obviously Pila is too confident in her abilities. So I can't speak about the rest of the hairdressers at Myra and Co., but Pila is one of those hairdressers who schmooze you the first time and take their time so you will come back and starts treating you like crap and charging you more. DO NOT GO. OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY AND SERVICE YOU GET. read more

This is a great spa located near Sunset Place. Everytime I'm in need of a nice 80 min massage I head over to Myra's and receice great service. The employees here at Myra's are extremely nice to the clients, always willing to help and make you feel very relaxed (the reason you go to a spa). The mani and pedi's are the best you can get in town in my opinion, a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Yes, the place is not the biggest place but it makes no difference because everything else here is simply divine! Head over to Myra's and make your life a lil bit better. = ) read more

To start, I have never written a review about anything before but after my experience today at Myra and Company I felt compelled. I was having a "hot mess" day when I went got to Myra running a little late and looking like a disaster and what I encountered was people who were so genuinely nice and accommodating that after I left I found myself feeling so much better and like myself again. It wasn't just that they did a great job as always on my brows but every person I have ever encountered there is wonderful. I left there thinking how happy i am to have found this place.
