ORIGINAL REVIEW 4/8/19: I came in to have my lower legs waxed today because I had $30 off a waxing service. It was my first time having my legs done, and I was ready- I'd been growing the hair out for a full month. It might just be because of my hair type, but I wish that there was a soft wax used after the hard wax, because my legs feel like the day after shaving; stubbly. Hey guys. It has been a long time since I had an eyebrow wax but after recommendations from some neighbors on here, I tried out Marra's Beauty Bar and I'm glad I did. Mara is wonderful. I dragged my boyfriend there also and his eye brows now look fantastic. It's not just for women guys, a good stray hair clean up makes a big difference. She put wanted to put some makeup in my brow and I was a little hesitant as I already put makeup in my brows but she said I have a good color for you, if you dont like it you can wipe it off. It looked nice but not my style so I wiped part of it off in the car and it looked perfect after that. She took her time to show me a make up technique for my brows that I am now using at home so it was much appreciated. I had her out a drop of makeup on my boyfriend who was pretty much like this isn't my thing but if it makes you happy I'll try it. It filled in the gaps and looked great. It was worn off my noon on him but looked good either way. So ladies if you want a good wax go there. Guys surprise your significant other with a wax but about 3 hrs before you see them as it could be red for a bit. Mine was only a little red for like 3 minutes but everyone is different. See if your significant other notices without telling them. If not at least you know you now have neat, clean brows. It's in a little strip across the street from Mr. Fresh. I found Starsoft Wax Center on Yelp through another business called Wax by Marra. I was looking to do my eyebrows, lip, and chin. Marra responded very quickly and was able to take me within 15 minutes. She also let me know that lip was free for first-time customers. When I arrived, I realized that Startsoft had taken the place of Uni-K wax. Since I arrived a bit earlier than my appointment, I was given the option to be seen by another wax specialist. Alisa walked me back and I told her exactly how I wanted my brows. She did an amazing job giving me the shape I wanted and even powdered my brows a bit to enhance any gaps I had. The lip and chin were pretty straightforward and simple but I appreciate the fact that she plucked the rogue hairs on my sideburns lol.Its been about 3 or 4 days and my skin feels super soft and non-irritated. I am a Bliss spa & wax ONLY girl and ended up giving this place a chance because the have recently closed and I have been forced to find another place. I have extremely sensitive skin and Bliss was literally the only place that didn't hurt and turn my skin red an apple! I didn't go full Brazilian on my test round because I was afraid it would bare the same result of any non-Bliss salon I'd been to previously. I am so happy that this was not the case. While I certainly miss the familiarity with my former esthetician, the process was not very painful and I didn't look like a tomato in the end. Score! The next time I return I will likely go more than a bikini but still less than a Brazilian to ensure my skin is ok. read more

Walked in to check out this local spot and ask for pricing; wasn't greeted -- was immediately told to wait, so that the front desk lady could proceed to discuss lunch plans w her Co-worker.
