First I feel I must preface this review with the disclaimer that I have diagnosed myself with being certifiably insane .One of the definitions of insanity is continuing to do something over and over again with the expectation that there will eventually be a different outcome/result. That is what I do every time I order food from this place. I have so many instances of this I probably should write separate reviews for each one, but for the sake of time and space I will write just one. I ordered a pizza last night and specifically told them, and even repeated myself twice that I wanted a small veggie pizza with NO black olives, bt I wanted extra green olives and extra banana peppers instead. I opened the box to very few(if any) green olives, but instead, a heaping mound of black olives with a scant few banana peppers on it. A few days ago I ordered a baked spaghetti (which is hit and miss on if it will actually be fit for human consumption or even be at best, lukewarm in temperature. To my surprise, it was piping hot but I couldn't eat it because the cheese was obviously spoiled or rotten because it tasted and smelled like clabbered milk. I have also ordered countless pizzas in the past that were only ab half cooked. The dough was cold and obviously not in the slightest bit done by any stretch of the imagination. I would need to put them on one of my pizza pans and put it in the oven for at least 15-20 minutes before they were cooked enough to be able to eat them. I am one to support local businesses but I am going to have to reconsider that decision and go to Pizza Hut or Little Caesar's or another big brand pizza place. I don't know if their equipment is faulty or if they hire people who would have a difficult time passing a GED exam, or people who just couldn't care less about their own work ethic, much less how they are making their employer look. At any rate, the management and owners should do a complete overhaul on this business or they will end up being forced to to close permanently. read more

Ordered online baked spaghetti, spaghetti with meat sauce, garden salad and garlic bread. Food was hot and delicious Staff was very polite and efficient. I would definitely recommend you to try it. read more

While visiting West Virginia, I decided to try the local Gino's. Not worth it. I order delivery while on Concord University campus, it took much longer than expected (an hour and a half) with no estimated wait time. The delivery guy was very nice though! I order a pubwich and added additional toppings. It was mostly just bread and lacked the toppings I added. I wish I would have walked the 8 minutes there so I could make sure everything was made correctly. Side note: I did hear from students that the pizza was good. I would go for that if you are a newbie to Gino's. read more

45 Minute wait for one pizza, cancelled the order for second one, and was short changed .99 cents on the refund. Server also advised she would bring plates and napkins, those never came either, the new management they are advertising on the sign outside of the building is a joke and needs to be replaced. read more

During college, Gino's pizza was my life blood other than Subway. For a small town (one stoplight) this pizza joint hit the spot every time. Pepperoni and mushroom was the go to pizza while the baked spaghetti was pretty good as well. The wings were hit or miss but when they were good, they were damn good! Most of the time they were pretty slow with your order but most of the time that wasn't an issue. They don't deliver so you had to go pick it up or eat there. fortunately, they are pretty cheap and for that Gino's is A-ok in my book. read more

I wanted to like this restaurant and it has some potential but as it stands now I would not come back. First, the staff was rude and unfriendly. Second, the menu was overpriced for the quality of the food. I got an Italian sub and there was literally two thin pieces of meat on it. The bread was actually pretty good which is a good thing since it was 80% of the sandwich. My husband got lasagna. It was meh. The bread with it was very good. We also got wings which were decent. If you like bread I guess this is the place to go. My daughter goes to college at Concord. The students don't eat there much because it is too expensive for them on average. They could really foster a college atmosphere if they tried. What a waste of a good opportunity. Back to Princeton we go....... read more

My favorite Pizza is at Gino's. We eat at the one in Beckley, Clendenin, clay County, etc. The pizza was good, cheese bread delicious. The only thing I don't like about the one in Athens is they do not offer fountain drinks. You buy a 2 liter and they give you cups, but have no ice to offer. read more

As a resident of Athens, ya know there isn't many choices right in town. The last time I ordered from here, it took more than a hour to receive my pizza.. figured it's been a while since I've eaten at Ginos and decided I'd give em another shot.. they said pickup in 25 minutes... pulled up to the window right at the 25 minute mark.... GO FIGURE! The freakin pizza got left in the oven and burnt... I could see stuff like this happening if the place was busy... there was 3 employees just at the counter and 2 customers inside! If ya can't make a pizza, is a Pizzaria the best job for you? Just save yourself the time and hassle... Moe's is way better anyways... read more

Gino's food is about the only good thing about the establishment. The inside is filthy, all the tables are sticky, food in the floor and the bathrooms are horrid. The orders are slow. Very slow I ordered a pizza and it was brought to my table an hour later, and they weren't even busy.. Since this is a college town and there are a lot of students working here I can give them a break. There food is excellent and worth the wait. read more

Took our team here after playing at CU...after two hours less than half the food had been served, several orders were wrong or incomplete. I had pizza...was fairly bland, could have used more sauce, and it got cold fairly quickly. Men's bathroom was dirty and out of paper towels.
