We did order pizzas but the table next to us ordered ravioli type dishes and all I could do was drool and second guess my selections. The pizza was good. Oven fired for crispy edge. The piccante was a little saucy made for a slightly soggy center. The beers were good and very cold, perfect for a summer day. In all a good dinner:

They seated me early Ave then announced the kitchen won't open until 7. Having said that, they were very nice and accommodating. They have English menus and English speaking servers. I ordered the berry sangria (rec'd by server), bruschetta, and the saltimbocca with a salad. The food was good to get good - not quite grate. Bruschetta, for instance, the bruschetta hardly had basil and was not seasoned, but the olive oil and tomatoes were lovely. The pork in saltimbocca was a little dry but the sauce was velvety and delicious. I ended with coffee and creme caramel for dessert. The coffee was amazing, which seems to be SOP in Portugal. The caramel (aka flan) was ok and likely not made in house. I saw they have the pasta made in the cheese wheel, but my experiences with that have been underwhelming - it's more show than quality. If that's your jam, may be worth a try. The pizza looked really good. The place itself is cute, tucked into a mall. The tablecloths were a little worn. The staff was attentive and kind. Overall, a pretty good choice.

My drink was a little sweet so he took it back without me even asking and made sure I was satisfied. I offered to pay for a side of rum but he wanted to remake it. But once inside, we were welcomed by a pleasant, English speaking waiter who was attentive and courteous. The menu selection had a lot of pasta options, pizza, and a few meat and seafood dishes. My wife opted for a pizza which was a good crispy thin crust with a selection of toppings that was both interesting and tasty. I went for a pasta that was similar to a longer rigatoni that was listed as a meat and red wine sauce. Hey, I like pasta, meat, and red wine! How could I go wrong?? Turns out I didn't! My entree came out with a yummy dark brown/red sauce (no marinara or tomato in sight) and a ton of tender beef slices that were outstanding! The flavor was really good and unusual. I loved it! I'd go back!! And it's really pretty inexpensive!

Plus, my 6-year old just got off our tour bus and needed a bathroom break All of our orders came out in good time and our server was very helpful and friendly. We chatted a bit about his family in California. We ordered two steaks with wine reduction sauce. Very good. One steak was over cooked but it was fine. Clams as appetizer was awesome with the house bread. One order of lasagna and I would give it a 8/10 compared to other restaurants at home. One order of pasta carbonara. It was good but not outstanding. One order of spaghetti bolognese. That one was average. We just arrived from Barcelona a few days before Lisbon and we were missing sangria so we ordered one pitcher. It's not as good as the ones in Barcelona but then again this is not Barcelona. For dessert we ordered 3 ice cream and a tiramisu. The ice cream was over-priced at 8 Euro each. Skip dessert and go get some great pastries or gelato outside around the plaza.i

I had the lasagna and it looked fantastic, it didn't taste quite as good. It kind of acidic, slightly but lacked a lot of flavour sadly. I put lots of cheese on it but is only partially fixed it. We also had a salami pizza and spaghetti boulegnese. Both were ok. Spaghetti was tasty but maybe a little fatty tasting and the pizza was thin crust but not crispy or firm at all. Just alright. We also had the fruit crepes for dessert, they were just ok, not worth having. The ones I had at Josephine up town were miles better. These were the doughy kind of texture which I don't like. Sorry it didn't blow me away as I was hoping so. But I also didn't realise it is smack in the middle of the tourist area, we had spent most of our trip uptown near Alfama and it is way more authentic and real... And way cheaper. I think fish was €50 here, and for a tiny fish. If you go uptown you cms get that for €15 max, and way bigger...

I absolutely love this place!…read more We were walking around, actually looking for a different place when locals recommended this place to us. It doesn't look special from the outside but it's super small and cozy inside. There's an 'outdoor' part with three tables in something like a winter garden and there are about 10 tables inside. The ambiance is great and it's easy I get in touch with your neighbors ( only if you want to of course). The staff is super friendly and they even have menus in all different languages. We ordered the shrimp tagliatelle and it was amazing! For an appetizer we tried Portuguese cheese and bread, also really good. But my absolute favorite and the reason we had to come back is the mousse au chocolate! Unfortunately I couldn't take a picture before I started to eat but I promise is delicious!!!
