Had an amazing meal at Giovannetti's!!! The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. We had the garlic bread which was delicious and the sauce was very tasty. For dinner had the vodka pasta and lasagna, both were amazing. So glad we found this place and it earns its 5 star rating. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!!

The reviews aren't wrong- this place is awesome. Tiny unassuming restaurant in a strip mall. With stars on the ceiling and outdoor seating this is a cute low key date spot. Service is excellent and so is the food. My favorite is that they have daily specials. I love the surprise and innovation of specials. Pasta dishes are amazing. The waitress told us they are going to expand and add a bar (they do already serve full bar/ alcohol). Can't wait to see what they do. Check out their amazing presentation of their food.

We found Pizza and More not long ago and loved it. They suggested we try Giovannetti's, run by the same family. Giovannetti's opened not long ago in the space that was Felicia's. Felicia's was a regular spot for us so we are delighted to see another outstanding Italian restaurant in the same space! They have completely redone the space, turned it into one large dining room. Elegant and still a homey, welcoming vibe (see the photo). This would be a great spot for an event dinner, especially a romantic one. We had the calamari fritti, veal piccata, and baby back ribs from the special board. Everything was fantastic! The calamari was crispy, not chewy or greasy at all, and the sauces were excellent. The ribs were tender with a smoky sweet sauce. We will definitely be back!

Service and ambiance were both great. Angela kept checking in with us and made the dining experience more positive throughout the night. I really like the paintings and ceiling lights. The lights are like shooting stars. They also had a Christmas tree outside. Food was okay, but either overly salty (carbonara) or overly sour (artichoke). We got another carbonara to-go with no additional salt but it was too oily. I liked the plating every time. Dessert was good. My favorite is spumoni cake. I will be back for that. It did have a bit of a grainy texture if you like that.

This restaurant has made me love Italian food! I always thought of spaghetti or pizza as Italian food...not necessarily! I have had Pollo al Marsala at Giovannetti's twice - it was sooo good I had to go back & have it again. The staff are so friendly- personable & welcoming. They are enlarging, I think adding a bar but not sure exactly. It is a comfortable, cozy restaurant. I will be back-frequently! Wonderful!!! Oh wait! I forgot to tell you how good the limoncello cake we shared was - super! Highly recommended.

What a hidden little gem in Vista! Loved being greeted at the door with a nice gentleman all dressed up! The menu has lots of selections with a posted seasonal selection that looks amazing! We chose 2 different dishes so we can taste and share! I believe our server was Shawn and he was amazing! We will be back for sure and share with others!

This place is so cute and the service is over the top. The menu is very diverse and they do have weekly specials on the blackboard. Plenty of parking available. So we ordered a chicken Parmesan and a salmon meal and a side of garlic bread. Each was very good. I will be returning back here for sure

I've been several times ordering different items and each and every time I am blown away at the quality of the food. It doesn't get any better! I crave to eat at this local treasure and always look forward to going back! This is certainly a true gem tucked away in an unassuming strip center.

Drove by here many times and decided to stop in a few weeks ago. Friendly service and delicious food. We ordered the vodka pasta and the chicken masala. My husband said the chicken dish was a bit salty but still good. Tiramisu was amazing for dessert. Will be coming back for sure!

After reading all the 5-star reviews, I had to see for myself. We went for lunch on a Friday afternoon and the place was busy, but not packed. The ambiance is simple, but nice. The main star of this restaurant is the food and it did not disappoint. We shared their Salad Mele which was beautiful to behold, but also had so much flavor and the ingredients were really fresh. We also ordered a side of their homemade garlic bread with their delicious dipping which was great. For the main course I had the Chicken Marsala with loads of mushrooms served with perfectly prepared vegetables and some simple, but surprisingly tasty, homemade pasta. It was a very generous serving. My husband had their baby back ribs which were so lean and tender the meat just fell off the bones. Unfortunately, we were too full to try their homemade desserts, but we're already planning a return visit. Plus, the service is excellent and for the quality and generous portions, their prices are very fair. They are a great addition to Vista!

Nice small Italian restaurant in Vista with friendly servers and a large menu to choose from. They have indoor seating as well as several tables in the front patio. Portions are large and can easily be shared. Recommend calling ahead for a reservation if have a larger party and on the weekends.

What a hidden gem we found. My first time at Giovannetti's and I was more than impressed with the food and atmosphere. I had the Chicken Marsala and it was absolutely amazing. They now have weekend lunch available and will soon be adding a bar and lounge area, making it a great spot to enjoy a delicious meal while watching sporting events. More lunch days are expected to come soon. You definitely need to check out the chef specials -- they all sound incredible. Highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a try!

Double bone porkchop

This Restaurant is the best I think in Tri City area. The artichokes and pizza is the best. Never had a bad meal in their pizza place in Vista. This is a nice atmosphere and the best part they have black sambucca. If you are here and they have the special double bone porkchop it is a must get. Giovannetti'ss is now my go to restaurant for Italian food.

Our waitstaff was headed by Kap & he did an excellent job. Told us to check out the happy hour menu since it was almost over, so we could get appetizers in at a reduced price. Ordered the calamari (crunchy, yet tender), bruschetta caprese (piled high with mozzarella & basil & chopped tomato), Caesar salad (crisp greens with a garlicky Caesar dressing), meatballs (2 large in a marinara sauce - so tender). They also have sliced warm bread on the table with olive oil/balsamic or butter. The drinks were perfect - nice and chilled and crafted perfectly. Kap also made a great recommendation on a bottle of wine. The menu has changed though. Some of our favorites have disappeared... (seafood risotto), so tried other dishes. Carbonara is so rich & creamy. The pizza margharita was cooked perfectly with a nice crust, but was a little lackluster in taste (not enough cheese maybe?). I did order a side of pesto to add some flavor. The lobster ravioli is always great here, so 2 people ordered it. Added chicken to the vodka penne (grandson's plate was completely emptied). Also had a fettuccini Montanara. Everyone but the grandson had leftovers to take home, so servings more than adequate. Kap really made the dinner perfect. Attentive without being over-bearing & making great recommendations throughout. Will definitely be back.

The seafood was especially fresh and perfectly cooked -- from the tender shrimp and lobster to the flavorful clams and pasta dishes. The stuffed zucchini blossoms were delicate and delicious, and the sauces were rich, balanced, and clearly made with care. The lobster bisque, however, was a little salty for my taste. The atmosphere felt warm, elegant, and welcoming, making it perfect for a relaxing dinner or special occasion. Service was attentive without being overwhelming, and every plate looked like it came straight out of a gourmet magazine. Highly recommend trying the seafood specials and homemade pasta. You can really taste the quality and passion in every bite. The restaurant is often filled up fast for dinner, it is best to reserve in advance.

Incredibly gritty and had hard pieces of something in it that we had to spit out. The ravioli pasta was good, the stuff in it was truly disgusting. Again so bad all this time we've chosen other places to dine because of that one dish and whatever hard things were in it along with that gritty finely grounded chicken. So anyways the rating now is for my experience now. The above is just why it took me so long to try this place again. Service was great! Over the phone so nice and in person welcoming and friendly. Great staff here. Blonde is who helped me. Another dark haired lady even asked if I'd been helped and even with her serving was willing to help if I hadn't yet been helped but I had been helped so no need. Super great two ladies. Thank you both. Just had to wait a short bit for my food and to pay. $30+ for it. I had a bday coupon of $5 and $7 still on my account from all that time ago. Lady stepped in to put those discounts. Wonderful! The bag of my food was so light I looked inside because seemed nothing was in it. But it has my to go food in it so off I went. We live super close and got home, opened it but it was just warm. Not hot. Odd but well I was able to eat it right away. The sauce was oily butter tasting. The cheese on it tasted like plastic and the dish was missing the prosciutto sadly. Inside the pasta and the pasta itself was yummy! Sad the sauce was oily butter, no other flavor but oily. The pasta was smaller than before, still only 5 pieces of pasta, at $30+ for this ouch! Even after my discount $20+ was still not worth it. Bummer. The other time I had this dish it was all so good, the sauce and prosciutto etc. I am not saying we won't ever return, service is great. Looked over reviews, yes it's cramped inside and you are on top of others unless you get the booth, so I recommend the booth. We enjoyed our dine in experience time ago, only the chicken ravioli was gross, the soup was just ok but the rest was great. After today's experience I won't be repeating the tortellini. Maybe calamari and pizza next visit, but pasta portions n flavor lack too much to attempt other dishes. Just my thoughts. Again great staff!

I really came for the food, and it was just okay. We had to order bread, which was $3, for my kid who was totally getting hangry. After looking at the menu, we then settled on my kid's favorite dish of all time, lasagna, while I opted for the parpadelle pasta with the boscaiola sauce and the hubs ordered the cacio e pepe with linguine. I also ordered the iceberg lettuce salad as the other salads had dressings that my hubs wasn't a fan of. The salad was drowning in the bleu cheese dressing/crumbles/bacon. Right up my hub's alley, but just too much for me. My pasta dish, however, did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious with a bold rich and not too acidic tomato sauce. My hubs enjoyed his dish also, which also came with a separate bowl of Italian sausage meat that he could either sprinkle or drown his pasta dish with. Of course, he chose the later. Service was okay. We had to ask for everything, and although we got it, it just spoke to how inattentive our server was. Mind you: the restaurant wasn't THAT busy on a Sunday night after 8pm... Valet parking only which was boo. Street parking is free but limited.
