Stopped by last night for a small takeout dinner. They are in the Stater Brothers strip mall and easy to miss. We made the effort to find them based on all the good reviews. I'm glad we finally found this hidden gem! The space is small but warm and inviting. I was greeted with a friendly wave when I entered to pick up my takeout order. The food was delicious - Calamari Alla Luciana was tender, not chewy at all. We wished that we had some crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce! We had an amazing, authentic Italian meal for lunch today on our first visit to Pizza and More. We had a little bit of everything and we thoroughly enjoyed each and every bite. Hubby had one of the specials, lobster ravioli, and I had a pasta dish with clams and white wine sauce. We also started with a Caesar salad, which was big enough for us to share as well as some garlic knots with olive oil oil and balsamic glaze for dipping. Our server was super friendly and welcoming which made our visit extra enjoyable. The restaurant is cozy and we had a cute little spot in the corner. I was happy that they had gluten-free pasta available too to sub with most of the pasta dishes. So glad that we found this hidden gem and will definitely be back to try another one of their homemade specialties. read more

It's been a while since we stopped by for takeout pizza, which was top-notch in the past. I didn't recognize any of the gentlemen that were there nor did I see Lola that's how long it's been. Unfortunately the Bronx pizza was a disappointment. The sauce was very sweet, the toppings were sparse and tasteless. Don't know if it's new owners using the same name- will not return. My husband and I came here for the first time to have dinner. We recently moved into the area and we found this restaurant on Yelp. We decided to give it a try because of all the good reviews. This spot did not disappoint. We came on a Friday evening and we easily found parking. We were immediately greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. We had a really nice and attentive waitress. She checked on us often to make sure we didn't need anything. We ordered the Pesto Garlic Knots to start with and loved it. Bread was warm and we loved the taste of the pesto and olives with the garlic bread. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and enjoyed it. My husband ordered the Linguine Alle Vongole (clams). He loved the sauce so much that he soaked it all up with the additional garlic knots that came with our dishes after he finished the pasta and clams. My husband enjoyed his meal with a beer. We had this pizza for the first time tonight. Unfortunately, the delivery driver brought me the wrong order. When I called the store to correct the issue, I had the pleasure of speaking to Vanessa. She was understanding and had a quick solution. She called me back 5 minutes later to tell me the food was being made fresh. When I asked why, she said it had gotten cold and a store employee would be delivering and she threw in a dessert. After seeing neighbors raving about Pizza and More for months in one of the Facebook groups I'm apart of, it was on my short list for when it came time to choose a restaurant that my whole family would enjoy. I called just after opening on a Saturday morning and spoke to a very warm and friendly woman who took down my name and party info, confirming our reservation for that evening. Just based off that initial phone call I already had a good impression of the place. Upon our arrival our table was all ready to go so we were seated straight away. Our server (I'm kicking myself for not remember his name, but he was a tall gentleman) came straight to the table taking drink orders and whatever else we were ready for. When one of the runners brought drinks to our table he noticed our 4-year-old and asked if she wanted juice or anything besides water to drink. My daughter is a fiend for apple juice so I said yes, to which he asked whether I wanted it diluted or just the way it came. It may seem like a trivial thing to be impressed about to most, but we dine out a LOT as a family and I've never once been asked whether I wanted her juice diluted, so it really showed me how well Pizza and More are set up and willing to cater to families and their children, too. Extra props just for that! We all had similar food on the brain and ended up ordering a couple of salads (a caesar and two ensalatas de la casa) and THREE supreme pizzas. Ahead of our food we also ordered the garlic pesto knots which arrived quickly though sadly, they were just regular knots with no pesto, but it wasn't a big deal and they got eaten anyway. This was the least impressive part of our meal - I found the knots to be pretty dry and not all that appetizing, though I did enjoy the marinara dipping sauce. While waiting for the rest of our food to arrive, my daughter began getting fidgety and wanting to bounce out of the booth. While trying to get her to keep it together, one of the employees who must've noticed swung by the table with a robot fidget toy for her to play with. This simple act of kindness toward my child rather than seeming annoyed was so very appreciated. Our salads arrived large and fresh, with no unappetizing wilted lettuce to be found (the fastest way to ruin a good salad in my personal opinion). Our pizzas arrived shortly after the salads and they looked equally delicious - brimming with fresh toppings, not overly greasy and baked to perfection. The 12" pizzas were cut into four large pieces rather than your usual 6-8 pieces. Even so, my daughter demolished a full slice and then asked for more. Kid approved! Of the 3 pizzas, we were left with maybe 2.5 slices, a testament to how much everyone enjoyed their meal. Throughout the duration of the night I enjoyed watching the interactions of the staff with the patrons, they definitely treat everyone like family at Pizza and More. At the end of our dinner we ordered a slice of cheesecake which everyone who had a bite thoroughly enjoyed. For our entire meal, a few glasses of wine and a couple of beers the bill total was very reasonable. I know everyone raves about the specials but we didn't try any of them this time - but just from eyeing everyone else's plates around the restaurant I already know what I'm ordering next time! We visited pizza and more during lunch on Easter Sunday. They were packed. But we were seated immediately. There are just about 7 to 8 booths with some tables and a small bar with seating. And she gave us just a while to check out the menus and gave us a bit more time to decide when we didn't realize that there were specials on. The specials are listed on a chalkboard in the restaurant. My hubby ordered a Stella in a can, and I ordered the Stella black cherry. It was good. We weren't hungry and had initially decided on a couple of appetizers between the two of us. But after being told of their specials. We changed our minds. We ordered the baby back ribs with rosemary roasted potatoes, an apple salad, and garlic knots to share. Food came in the following order. Garlic knots first, and when we were done and shifted the plate aside, she brought our salad- apple salad with feta cheese pineapples and raspberry vinaigrette. This was fantastic. Loved the pairing of green apples and spinach and the raspberry vinaigrette. Tiny bits of feta and nuts upped the ante. Delicious without being overly sweet. Then came our baby back ribs. She wasn't lying when she said the meat falls off the bones. It literally melted off the bone, and it wasn't dry either. It was succulent and delicious, and the homemade bbq sauce is not overly sweet. This was perfect. We brought all the stuff home and even ordered the limoncello cake to go. What a wonderful way to end our Monday Night other than trying a Hot and New Italian Spot in Vista Ca called "Pizza and More by Giovanetti." This spot was formally a pizza joint but has recently been converted to an Italian eatery ran and owned by Lola and her business partner. Upon arriving to Pizza and More, we were greeted by a wonderful lady with a beautiful smile...I had to ask if she was the owner since I've heard so many good things about her on Yelp...and she confirmed! We told her we were excited to try her eatery out. Our hostess told us to pick any place to sit...which wasn't terribly difficult since the establishment was small (no more than 12 tables and booths). Since my wife Abbas I had already scoped the menu while we were at a doctors appt we kinda of already had items in mind. We started off with two appetizers: Carciofi Ripieno (which was 3 Oven Roasted Artichoke Hearts) and Garlic Pesto Knots (6) For our Entrees: Wife ordered: Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo I ordered: From the Specials Board - Baby Back Ribs with house made BBQ Sauce and Roasted Potatoes And for Dessert: Wife and I shared a Limoncello Cake This eatery met and exceeded our expectations! Wow! Don't sleep on this hidden gem. I've lived close to this spot for a long time and visited it under its previous ownership when it was just a pizza store front...nothing like what the new owners have done to it. The inside is unrecognizable, very intimate, inviting, calming and gets you ready to enjoy some delicious food. My daughter has been telling me about how great this spot is and finally got me to visit (I still had images of the old ownership) and I can't believe I hadn't been before. First, the specials menu is truly special and offers such a variety of options for all pallets and preferences. Truthfully, it was hard to decide what to get since so many options made my mouth water. Note that items on the special can be rotational and gone before you know it. The owners are present and involved, walking you through the menu and making you feel comfortable. I landed on the quail special with a potato cassoulet and asparagus drizzled with a teriyaki glaze. My GOODNESS it was something else, it was Devine. The potatoes were perfectly roasted and seasoned; in fact I appreciated that each component of the dish was perfect seasoned as the chef constructed this masterpiece. The quail was prepared to perfection, not over cooked and the glaze was delicate as not to overwhelm the beauty of the quail. I was stunned, I was satisfied and I was certainly impressed. My daughters go to is the penne ala vodka which she swears by and I can understand after I tasted it. By the way, am I the only one that turns to a savage when I eat pasta and end up with a splash on my top?!?! The food was generously portioned so we both had plenty to take home and "share" (I didn't share) so I ordered the lemoncello dessert to go. The cake was fluffy, light, not too lemon forward; it was the perfect level of sweet and tart and neither stole the show, instead they were perfectly harmonious. Definitely get a dessert and enjoy every bite of that perfection. Without a doubt, I've been won over and will be joining my daughter more often. Things to note: the location is in a unsuspecting place however, if you're the type to raise your nose because the location isn't 5 star, be aware that the food, owners and experience are not pretentious. This is truly a hidden gem, tucked away where you'd never think to look but will be so delighted once you find it. The chef and owners are wonderfully inviting, kind people with a smile to share. They truly made us feel cared for. I absolutely love the energy of the restaurant and wish them all the success as they grow and make a mark on Vista's food scene. Very small restaurant - only has 10 tables so if you don't mind waiting please call ahead and make a reservation. My family didn't have a reservation so we waited about 10 min to get seated. Once seated, it did take quite some time to get our drink order (it seems like there was only 2-3 servers so totally understood the wait).
