Great pizza! I was in town for a funeral. The family ordered pizza from this place. I am in the of an attempted diet and pizza is my kryptonite. I politely refused and my buddy said I really needed to try it. The pie is round but they cross cut into smaller pieces. I had one small pepperoni and one pepperoni with bacon. It was fantastic! So good I ordered 2 to go and drove it 5 hours home. Even reheated it was great and the family loved it. Wished we had one in my hometown. read more

Not like the other Giovanni's in Kentucky. Their pizza is always thin crust, somewhat resembles a cracker. If you like crispy, thin crust then you'd probably like this. I usually like deep dish. They may offer that, I'm not sure but if you don't specify crust, you get it thin. The pizza tastes ok but once again if you're used to ordering Giovanni's from anywhere else in the state, it's not what you will be expecting. Not good customer service either. Every time I've called to place an order they were very dry and almost rude. The store is pretty small. No buffet. I would give the Giovanni's chain at least 4 stars but this location is a disappointment every time, unfortunately. read more

Well, most of the other reviews have reflected the same atrocious opinion I have of this hole. I have eaten at multiple Giovanni's in this state as well as W. Va. and this one is by far the WORST EVER !!! Where to start first, I guess with the menu. If you look up the menu on their website, it will not match much of what they ACTUALLY serve. The restaurant itself is fairly clean but there is NO BUFFET which is silly because they have a second dining room, which has ample space for one, but it is never used. The pizza itself isn't horrible but for whatever reason the sauce is noticeably different from "actual " Giovanni's franchises. Yes the staff is rude, and for some reason, aren't open on Mondays. If I were in charge of the corporation, I would find a way to take their franchise away. The people of Paintsville deserve better read more

I've lived in Paintsville for 3 yrs. now and last night was the first time I tried Giovanni's and I must say by far the best pizza in town! I've tried them all and Giovanni's has the best sauce (fresh tasting), the crust doesn't taste frozen nor does it have that weird flour taste. So, let me start off by saying I've eaten here multiple times . Not by choice only for the fact that you don't have many choices in our town and they haven't been shut down yet by the health dept. I always order the same thing a medium Cheesestick. It comes out as $10.45 . Well, tonight my pregnant sister wanted a salad so we ordered and I got my cheesestick and she got her Large salad (which she orders often) . When it got there I had a SMALL cheesestick and she had a small salad. Now, okay it's not a big deal but when I looked at my ticket and hers ( separate) we had both been charged for large. I called and was told I was lying and that they couldn't find our ticket. They were so rude and said "well how do you know our prices" because it's one of the 3 pizza places in our town that will deliver to my house and I order atleast once a week because I'm lazy. The lady said , well I didn't make a 16in cheesestick tonight and I replied "obviously not but you charged me for one that's my point" . I was very polite as I've worked in customer service and I know things happen but I was called a liar and stupid ( the other lady who talks to loud and they don't cover the speaker when they sit the phone down) never ever will I order from them again! read more

This place is very awful. The employees are snotty to customers and they have no respect or appreciation for them either. I was almost hit by one of their drivers so I called in to the to complain and was told that no one drove that kind of vehicle. Once I said that he had their light sign in the top she then explained that he wouldn't drive that fast or reckless either.. The food is decentnbut the service is just unacceptable. Best place around in the sticks. Good food and good prices. Nothing fancy, just to the point and tasty.
