Ordered a decent amount of food from here the other day -- a large chicken parm calzone, chicken fingers, fries, and a Super Beef with the "added" protein option -- and I honestly don't know where to begin with the disappointment. This was a lackluster effort across the board. The chicken parm calzone was a complete letdown. Barely any sauce, barely any protein, and absolutely no flavor. It was bland, dry, and painfully boring. The majority of it was just baked pizza dough with a sad excuse for filling. Calling this a "chicken parm" calzone feels generous at best. The chicken fingers and fries were aggressively average. Not bad, not good -- just existing. They didn't offend me, but they certainly didn't redeem anything either. Now let's talk about the so-called "Super Beef," because this is where things really went off the rails. What an absolute joke of a roast beef sandwich, especially after paying extra for the "added" protein. While the beef itself was tasty, the portion size was downright laughable. I've had junior beefs at other places that were bigger than this thing. The name alone is wildly misleading, and the reality is straight-up disappointing. Local easy & convenient Wouldn't really recommend I usually only order the steak kebab salad from this place and that's only out of habit. It's $13. When you add feta it's filling it's enough for myself. I wouldn't call it great I wouldn't say it's the best. My husband had the steak tip sub and that's supposed to be a large. That was definitely not appetizing at all. The meat was very dry. Probably time to find a new place for anything that deals with steak tips as I said, it's just easy inconvenient. I like the grilled flavor but other than that there's no flavor. The time that we placed the order and picked it up was roughly 15 minutes and it was all set ready prepared so the service was good. Absolutely Disgusted by the Racism and Verbal Abuse I've been a regular customer at Giovanni's Roast Beef on South Willow Street for a while now. I've always enjoyed the food and the hardworking staff inside--most of whom are Indian, and they truly make the place what it is. But today something deeply disturbing happened. I was in a rush and parked my car beside the handicap spot--not in it--just next to it. The blue lines marking the space were extremely faded and barely visible, so I had no idea I was near the access area. It was a genuine mistake. As I waited for my order, an older white bald man who works there came in and rudely accused me of parking in a handicap spot. I explained that I didn't realize and apologized, but later, as I was leaving, I saw him taking pictures of my car. He then called me a "fucker" and began yelling at me publicly. When I told him it was a genuine mistake, he went even further and said something truly horrifying: "How would you feel if I made your dad handicapped and told him to get out of here?" Then, when I told him not to speak to me like that, he exploded into racist abuse: "This is my country! Get out of this country. You Indians and immigrants don't belong here." He also told me: "If you ever come to this store again, I will kick you out myself." I was absolutely shocked and heartbroken. For someone working in a store run entirely by Indian workers--who cook the food, clean, and handle everything behind the scenes--to say something so hateful is not just offensive, it's hypocritical and vile. No one--regardless of race, background, or citizenship--deserves to be spoken to that way. This man not only insulted me personally, but he insulted every immigrant and every Indian person working hard in this country. I strongly urge the owners of Giovanni's to take immediate action against this employee. His behavior is unacceptable and dangerous. Until this is addressed, I will not be returning to Giovanni's. I'm not normally a fussy person especially when it comes to a pizza shop, but this place is pretty awful. I had their pizza for the first time at my work, we were doing an inventory and our DM ordered a bunch of cheese and pepperoni pizza. I thought it was pretty good so I decided to order a bunch of food for my wife's birthday party. The steak in the philly cheese steak pizza tastes very off like the meat was bad and had an odd odor to it. That went right in the trash. Same thing with the bacon chicken ramch and buffalo chicken pizza. The chicken smelled off and tasted off. Another two in the trash. The inly pozza that tastes ok was the pepperoni. The onion rings were almost completely separated from the batter. It was basically a pile of onions and batter. The mozzarella sticks were ok and the buffalo bites, which i dont even know what they were made of, were ok as well. I also got a meatball calzone, the meatballs were very dry and the sauce wasn't very good. I wish i had read the reviews before going there. Giovanni's... As I prepare to leave this state after two decades, there are three things I will miss - Giovanni's pizza, my family, and my friends. In that order. As an original native of NJ, I never expected to find the kind of pizza shop I loved back home. After finding Giovanni's, I never tried another pizza place up here... there was simply no need. I have ordered from them dozens and dozens of times and have never once been anything but impressed and satisfied. I can honestly say they are the most consistent restaurant I've ever ordered from. Delivery times? Fast. Folks that deliver? Awesome and friendly. Online ordering? AMAZING... Let me just rave about the website a bit, as someone in technology. Normally you would expect a pizza place to have a passable web interface at best. Giovanni's is intuitive, comprehensive, and allows for extreme customization. If that wasn't enough, they ALWAYS pay attention to any custom notes. We love our pizzas almost burnt, and our fries extra crispy - two things that so many places fail to do right, even when asked. Every single time they come to us exactly as we ordered and piping hot. Oh yeah, you are probably wondering about the food. It is amazing. The ingredients they use are fresh and high quality, and they know how to work with them. For any NY/NJ friends - get the pizza. Ask for it crispy and it won't disappoint. My personal favorite is meatball, eggplant, and ricotta, but you can't go wrong with a classic pepperoni. All of their subs are great. The steak bombs are the best in the city, bar none. Their apps are all great, and so are the salads. I was shocked at how good their burgers are - not something pizza places are generally known for, but we love them. The roast beefs are epic. Anyway, you have read enough, just go online and order something. You can't go wrong. This is my second time ordering from here, and it will be my absolute LAST! I would pay top dollar for quality food any day, but this wasn't it. The price is deceiving. Absolute garbage. I ate pizza from here this past week, and the tomato toppings tasted spoiled. I chalked it up to questioning my pregnancy taste buds even though the texture also felt off, but I just ate the pizza. Today I ordered: 2 Buffalo chicken Caesar salads 1 chicken tender and fries meal 1 regular ginger ale 1 root beer I'm pregnant, recently physically disabled, and not on the first floor of my building. The driver called three times in less than seven minutes as I was trying to wait for the elevator. First, they mentioned that they replaced the regular ginger ale with blackberry flavored ginger ale, which is gross. They added a lemonade, which was nice, although we didn't want either of them. I didn't want to complain because they tried to rectify it. BUT THEN... I opened the bag to get the tenders and fries only to find a large, smelly, gross-looking giant nugget thing that must be the tenders with no fries. It was disappointing, but oh well, maybe they didn't hear me when I said fries. Mistakes happen, right? BUT THEN!!! I was getting the salads ready to eat, adding dressings and whatnot. I took one bite, and my throat nearly closed up. I could barely breathe. I immediately felt like throwing up, then gagged uncontrollably for a few minutes. My lips started tingling, and after a while, I felt extremely sick and dizzy, then my stomach started to hurt & itch. I didn't take any more bites. JUST THAT ONE, then I analyzed my plate better... MY LETTUCE IS MOLDY!!! I'm allergic!!! This is completely unacceptable. The ONLY thing that came out right in this whole order was the bottled root beer. I ordered right before closing, so I couldn't get ahold of anyone, which makes sense. I'm not unreasonable, can't be upset with that. I'll try again tomorrow. I have the salads, but I can't and won't eat them. My daughter ate some of the "tenders," and her stomach isn't feeling well.. she just ended up going to bed. I want a full refund. This was an awful experience, and I really hope I don't need a trip to the hospital or anything overnight. That's a food safety issue & minor allergic reaction but I am pregnant and I feel physically awful... also What I eat, my baby eats. YOU FED MY BABY MOLD! I only ordered here because it was the only place open, but I don't care if it was the last place to eat in town. Two horribly failed orders. you won't catch me a third time. I wonder if I would've been safer eating out of the trash. I paid nearly $50 for two salads, nugget/tenders, and drinks. Forget about the first time we ordered some egg roll looking thing with cheesesteak inside and a bunch of other sides... the only thing half-decent was the pizza. Such a waste of money, time, and health. I am upset not just for the mistakes but for the absolute CARELESSNESS. You feed people SPOILED FOOD and MOLD! How are you even standing as a restaurant? This is my go to takeout restaurant for waffle fries in Manchester. The pizza is pretty good, calzones are great and vegetarian wraps are mediocre (dry, not much flavor). My boyfriend really enjoys the pasta with meatballs. The staff is always polite and professional. Delivery is usually pretty fast compared to other pizza places in the area. I have alived in a lot of different states and ordered form a whole lot of sub shops and when I say Giovanni's has the best subs in town you can beilieve it. The cheese steaks are incredible and all subs are over stuffed. The breads are always fresh as are the veggies. The prices, I think, are better than other shops because the subs are so over stuffed and fresh. They get my business every time I crave subs. read more

When I am in the area I try to eat at the one in Londonderry. The portions here got smaller, the food is no where near up to par where it was, the service def leaves something to be desired. They had gotten mad at us last time we ordered because they forgot part of our order and we wanted it and didn't want refund, took forever and we said that's it no more. Reluctantly we ordered again today as some of our usual places were closed for the holiday, boy were we disappointed again. The sub I ordered (lrg cheeseburger sub) was hard and cold when it got here, was so empty of ingredients and just lousy all around. The chicken Caesar wrap was dry and barely any meat in it, lettuce looked awful. I stop by Giovanni's of Manchester quite a bit for dinner takeout. I come here on Wednesdays when the pasta dinners (excl steak & shrimp) are half price, pick-up & cash only. The other local Giovanni's locations do not offer this special, only Manchester does. I've tried most of the pasta dinners that are offered on special here including the Eggplant Parm w Ziti, Chicken Parm w Ziti, Chicken Broccoli Alfredo, Ziti w Sausage, Ziti w Meatballs, all come with baked garlic bread. The pasta is a bit overcooked mostly. The grilled chicken pieces on the Alfredo dish are really tender and tasty. The prices for each dinner after discount is $4-$5 each after tax. The service is usually prompt and my food is hot and ready to go in about 10 minutes. read more
