The following was wrong for our orders: no cheese on an omelette that asked for cheese, butter on toast where we asked for no butter, mozzarella sticks we ordered never came. My friend asked for butter as the food was being served up, and the server said, "I'm giving out the orders first, then I'll get your butter." I can't explain how rudely it was said and obviously the server was flustered. The worst of it - an order of eggs with salmon incorrectly came with peameal instead, and when we politely said it was the wrong order, the waitress argued and said that's what she wrote down, so it had to be correct. Honestly, it was such an uncomfortable situation to be challenged like that. I have never seen a server behave that way and I'm not sure if it was just too busy or if she doesn't realize how rude or inappropriate her response was. I gave her a decent tip anyway and in retrospect I wish I hadn't. The food was alright but the service was bad, the place is quite tight so I didn't feel comfortable. The stairs to the washroom are quite steep. The washroom stall I used in the ladies' room had the toilet installed so close to the door, that my feet were sticking out from behind it. I could barely close the door - there was no space between it and the toilet. I DO NOT RECOMMEND and I will never return.

I was seated quickly which was a surprise given how busy it is. it is a diner so you know what you are going to get. There was a buzz in the place as it is close to the Pride Parade route and a watch party for the Canada- South Africa fifa soccer game. Ok on to the food i had a waffle with mixed fruit , turkey bacon and home fries with a coffee. . The waffle was perfect crunchy on the outside and so fluffy on the inside with real maple syrup . The turkey bacon was cooked perfectly and the home fries were plentiful and so tasty . The price was less than 50 dollars which was a nice surprise and the service was great. This was a nice way to start my birthday thanks Fran's

And the restaurant was open during Christmas. We had table of 7+1 where we have a baby. We had to wait for a while for our friends, and we only drank hot water, the server seemed not really like that. And he didn't let us know hot water would charge $1/person. It didn't seem to be really welcome. So we ordered some apps and drinks, then we approached to other place for mains. The wings we had were one with honey garlic and one with BBQ. They were decent. We might come back, but not the holidays!

The service was great, as staff was friendly. There were many people dining when we went, which had a mix of families, couples and friends. Food was good. Solid sandwich and small plates. Really enjoyed the drinks!

Daisy May's located in the Annex along Bathurst near Follis Ave serves up brunch, drinks and light…read moresnacks from Thurs to Sun. The restaurant took over the previous space of the restaurant Grapefruit Moon. This neighbourhood gem has both indoor seating for around 25 customers and a cute outdoor patio as well to the side when the weather is nice. I stopped by Daisy May's on a Thurs morning, shortly after they opened. The place wasn't busy at all and I was actually their only customer during my time there. The menu is divided up into small plates, brunch (think breakfast sandwich, eggs benny, a tartine, steak frites, and french toast), sandwiches (like the Cubano, a double smashburger, and the chicken club to name a few), as well as sides (fries, slaw, tater tots), and dessert (they have a key lime pie and a basque cheesecake!). They also have a drink list - a small list of wines, cocktails, beer/cider, and non-alcoholic options like coffee, soda, and juice. Service was friendly and I was given my space to enjoy my food and my time there. My order was placed at a reasonable time and I waited about 10-15 min for my food to arrive. Coffee of course arrived first. Food and drink wise, I ordered: - Breakfast sandwich ($11) - Grilled English muffin, chive soft scramble, American cheese, manchego, pickles, pickled jalapeno, aioli, hot sauce with a house breakfast sausage - Side of a summer salad ($5), which was their poached pear salad (champagne vinigrette, endive, raddichhio, red lettuce, mint, candied nuts) - Americano ($5) Americano was made well. Both of the food items I got were extremely delicious! The breakfast sandwich was perfect - that chive soft scramble with the American cheese was fluffy and soft, the pickles/pickled jalapeno cut the heaviness of the eggs/sausage, and the house breakfast sausage was substantial. All the ingredients worked so well together and it was a pretty amazing breakfast sandwich. The salad was also amazing as well - the candied nuts definitely added another dimension and contrast to the entire dish. It was a great salad and I would highly recommend everyone to get both items!! Overall, a great neighbourhood gem located about a 5 min walk north of Bathurst station. A great brunch if you want somewhere more local, casual, and chill with great food. Would come back again in the future for more brunch!

I order the pulled pork eggs benny and it was delicious. The BBQ pulled pork was mouthwatering, tender and saucey. The eggs were made to perfection, running yolk burst out as soon as I poked them open. The only complaints for me were the hollandaise sauce and home fries. The hollandaise sauce was bland. I've never tried such bland hollandaise sauce. How on earth could you fail hollandaise sauce? Hollandaise sauce is what makes an eggs benny. And to me that was a big fail. The home fries were not crispy at all. They were very soft and also didn't have much seasoning. My husband ordered the hangover helper breakfast (of course) and it was massive. It came with a choice of buttermilk pancakes or cinnamon french toast, 2 eggs, fruit garnish, a choice of bacon or sausage, home fries, toasts and baked porky beans. The pancakes were very fluffy and delicious. It was a great portion for a man like him. I'd say this place is worth a try if you're in the area because it offers great value for the price.
