Went to Narenj after getting recommended to come here for pastries. The restaurant has such a chill vibe to it We ended up with the pistachio mouse, zaatar croissant and the halloom croissant as well. $25 total The prices are a little steep however it's so delicious and flavourful that coming here is a treat yourself moment. It's a bit far from the downtown Toronto core but it's a cute spot if you wanna get out of town for a little treat.

I came across this place on TikTok and it looked super cute and lowkey. I decided that on my birthday we could check this place out. They don't take reservation but better to get their early than later because this is a small spot it can fill up super quickly. We had to wait around 45 minutes to get a table for 3 people. We ordered the In-Laws which I don't know if it's on the menu anymore. Which was super delicious. Definitely such a flavourful brunch. We hadn't caught up in so long so we were definitely sitting there for quite some time. The owner was so sweet and let us sit through her High-Tea. Which is something I definitely would come back to. The desserts and pastries looked amazing. We did order a pastry for ourselves and they were definitely delicious. I would for sure come back to this place. :)

Food: 4.5/5 very good pastries Environment: 4.5/5 classic and floral, nice decor Service: 4/5

Phenomenal service! I can't say enough about how attentive all the servers, and managers were. I went with my very big family, and all the food came out super quickly. The servers constantly checked on us and provided excellent care. The food was deeeelicious! The iced latte was perfect. I had "the handy" with sour dough. The bread was tasty and crunchy. I enjoyed the greens with pickles. Very refreshing. Inside of the restaurant was cutely decorated! I loved the decorations. Very pleasant experience!

Great Mediterranean restaurant that opened in February of 2021. Same owners as Maro's which is right next door. We enjoyed dining outdoors at the high top tables with benchseats on a beautiful Sunday with traditional music in the background. They've decorated with plants, a pergola and some lighting. Very warm and friendly vibe to the place. We ordered from the breakfast menu and had two iced lattes which were great and came with sugar syrup on the side so you could sweeten to taste. Today we tried: The In Law's Omelette which is three organic eggs scrambled with great seasoning and flavour. Some light refreshing Herbal Labneh paste with garlic and mint. A geen olive and seasonal herb salad was topped with a Lebanese baked potato that had just enough crisping on the outside. Delicious, great texture, and very fresh and tasty. Would definitely order again. We also tried the oriental shakshouka which comes hot in a little cast iron pan. Tomato based topped with organic fried eggs. Nice texture and flavour, tasty, and great to have with the bread they serve. Service was quick, prompt, and we met one of the owners she did a great job explaining the menu. All in all a great meal that we really enjoyed. A great addition to the Kerr and Lakeshore strip. Will be back for sure!

One of the excellent and beautiful restaurant should you wish to eat In Oakville, Ontario Unique menu, excellent service and delicious food. I was visiting Oakville from and my daughter surprised me with Narenj ( Kerr Str). We ordered different dishes and they all tasted fresh, homemade, and yummy: halva and pistachio croissant, Narenj tea, Narenj tarte with meringue, Dulce de Lèche frappé, different baguette sandwiches, and not to forget the amazing shakshouka. Thank you Benson for the excellent management of the place, your kind hospitality and your smile. Thank you Nisa for your excellent service and good luck. If you come to Ontario, don't miss this place: Narenj

Wonderful decor. Wonderful coffee. Wonderful salad. A great place to drink, eat and sketch! A jewel of a place in Oakville.

Brisket Shakshouka & Home Sweet Home (came with walnuts, not pistachios)

A colleague recommended this place to us since we would be in the area. From the outside it looks nice. Upon entering the server asked how many and just pointed her hand in a direction with 3 empty tables. Unsure where to sit, we chose one of the tables which smelled liked it was wiped down with a dirty rag (you know that smell.) A moment later water dripped on my head. I looked up to find a hanging plant directly above the table. The vibe is rustic, all the tables and chairs look thrifted with plants and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. I understand the aesthetic but to have plants hanging directly over tables/food is dangerous for food safety. The server came to take our order and wasn't very friendly, seemed in rush. We ordered 2 dishes and it took over 25 minutes to come out. Mind you, it was a weekday around 11am, not extremely busy. We ordered the Home Sweet Home - French toast made with croissants, topped with chopped pistachios, seasonal compote and fresh homemade cream. It came with walnuts instead of pistachios which was disappointing. It was ok but very sweet. We also ordered the Brisket Shakshouka - Skillet of tomatoes and tomato sauce with three poached organic eggs, topped with slices of fried halloumi, beef brisket, pickles, zaatar and pomegranate molasses. The brisket was not very tender and not like a traditional shakshouka with plenty of tomato sauce for dipping the bread. Way too many pickled onions on top. Also the washroom soap dispenser nozzle was broken and out of soap too, which is a health and safety violation. Overall the service, ambiance and food were subpar especially for the prices. Being in the food industry we would encourage warmer hospitality, more thought into decor placement, better food quality and far more attention to cleanliness.

If you want the ambience of a Paris cafe, this is the place to go. I have been going here for three…read moreyears now and have always enjoyed the friendly welcomness as I was greeted and served. Food is light and very tasty. Great selection of pastries and excellent variety of coffee.

4.5 In honour of…read morereceiving my Elite 23' badge, I'll finalllly drop my review for this place lol. I visited this bakery 2-3 times in 2022, so It's probably about time I did my review. Let me start by saying there are not many authentic French bakeries outside the downtown core, so it's such a relief when you finally find one in the GTA. In comes Tradition de France. Right when you walk in, you are greeted with a "Bonjour!". They offer a wide variety of items but I mostly just come for the croissants and more specifically now, the almond croissants. I'm not gonna lie, they're pricey. It's $6 for one almond croissant BUT, take a look at my pictures. The size of one of these is my face+. You're insane if you think I personally, could finish one of these in one sitting lol. This is defs a two-part pastry lol. This croissant is so big and does not look like your average croissant but boy is it GOOD. It's buttery, no fake almond extract taste present and the almond filing texture is just right. It's filled to the point where the bottom of the croissant gets a little soggy, which is exactly what I look for in an almond croissant. The plain butter croissant is also perfect. Flaky and buttery with all the layers. Again, it's so hard to find authentic French bakeries outside of Toronto, so Tradition de France is a good place to start, if you're looking to get your croissant fix.
