The owners were pleased to talk about the gallery, taking us into the back room for a full 'tour' (which was also their office area) and into the back garden area, which they went on to explain is "public space" and they invite people to spend time out there. They talked at length and with passion and conviction about various artist organizations and non-profits in the area, and the cherry on top was the informal, impromptu 'tour' of downtown Easton and its various business owners. After leaving this place, I was excited about the Lehigh Valley again, and it was inspiring to see this proof of a progressive, forward-thinking community who are proactive in making things happen (instead of complaining about nothing happening). We took them to Kauffman's after seeing the wonderful reviews, and we couldn't be more pleased. The craftsmanship is spectacular. These are Ethan Allen chairs, and they look better than brand new. There is no reason to go out and ever buy brand new chairs. Find chairs with good bones, take them to Kauffman's to be reupholstered and you will be so much happier with the result. I cannot wait to find the next chairs to get done at Kauffmans. Their work is a work of art.

They have a nice selection of furniture in a variety of styles on premises, and more available in immediate inventory in their warehouse. My wife and I have a modern decor style, and the selection in the "modern" vein was a bit slim - but the special orders and catalogs help quite a bit if they don't have your taste on the floor. All that said, where this place shines is in service. It's very easy to order pretty much anything online, but often, you don't know what you're getting. The staff at Ebert knows their furniture. They know what's quality, what's not, and they can talk to you about a piece you haven't seen - and help you decide whether or not it works for you. I can't speak highly enough - expertise on large purchases is key, and these guys have it in spades. The chairs I ordered were not in stock, so after a few weeks, they arrived and were delivered. Notification of receipt and delivery were on the same day. The driver was friendly, on time, and helped get everything into the house. He even put felt pads on the bottom of each my chairs before he dropped them off. A great ending to an excellent sales cycle. Skip the big chains - Pottery Barn, et al. Ebert has the same styles, if not better quality, and actual knowledge of their merchandise. I'll definitely be back.

In his gallery you can see so many of his paintings in the walls all around, his latest inspiration is Bethlehem, but some of his art are clear examples of New York City streets and life where he used to live before Bethlehem. He also sells prints of his originals that really do look like the originals. He is very particular as to the prints and the color intensities. We own one of his originals and many prints. He also has paintings that are not Bethlehem centric and you can hire him to paint a portrait, etc. You need to walk through the gallery to appeciate the work that he does. Other places in town carry his prints but why not get them from the source.
