Once you download the app and choose a plan, you're able to scan the bikes QR code at the dock and it's ready for use! If you receive governmental assistance you they have a yearly plan for $10. They have great customer service as well! I thought I docked my bike and realized after a few hours that it never officially docked. I received and invoice and quickly called customer service. They were able to troubleshoot the incident swiftly and ease. With that being said, when you're using a bike, make sure to give it a good forceful push when docking to ensure this doesn't happen to you. Oh, one last thing. They now have electric bikes that help climb the city's hills with ease!

To be fair, the river had recently flooded and clean up work needed doing, which explains why they were there. Nevertheless, everyone was nice, friendly and made me feel safe using the trail on my own. Memorials and sculptures line the trail, making the run an enjoyable one with plenty to do sight-seeing wise while you're running. Loved it! Things to see on the run: PNG Stadium (Pirates), Heinz Field (Steelers), Mr Rogers Memorial (the Childrens Memorial), Allegheny County Police Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, World War II Memorial, Science Center, plus numerous steel bridges and assorted public art sculptures.

The views are spectacular, rolling hills and so many colors of green and blue were breathtaking. Mile 9 was NOT our favorite mile. There is trail maintenance happening and that's a GOOD thing, but...the gravel is thick in many areas so riding the bike was sketchy at best. Thankfully it wasn't much more than that mile. I loved the train track right next to the trail and my prayers were answered when, lo and behold, a train appeared! It was stopped so as to clear a fallen tree but once removed (minutes) they were on their way. The train was filled with people who were happy to see bikers on the trail as we were happy to see, and wave at them. Great trail.

He said come on over, stayed open past time on Thursday 2 SEP to help two random out of town bicyclists. He not only helped but let me in the sacred space in the shop and showed me how to deal with the wheel on my Cannondale Topstone...I was afraid of the disc brakes [had tube, levers and pump], but had not practised removing a wheel or bothered to watch a YouTube video. I had spent 32 glorious miles on the GAP with my wonderful spouse...last 2 walked in cleats! Painful lesson on preparing ahead of time...so embarressed and me a boy scout and Army Vet. Thank you Hutch for your service in our brother USAF! Blessings always. I am sure this would be our go-to place if we lived anywhere within an hour...would be totally worth the drive.

I don't know if you can still use their tools and fix the bike yourself. They told me to leave it and they would repair it. They charge you 80 dollars just for them to take a look at it, almost like a car mechanic. I am not sure the bike is worth much more than that price, but that is what they charged me. I had to bring my bike in for some maintenance in April 2020 during the coronavirus/covid shutdown. Biketek still offered fast and reliable service, setting me up with a new bottom bracket in just a couple days, despite being short-staffed due to the pandemic. I really appreciate how accommodating they have continued to be during this time. Outdoor activities are one of the only fun things we can do right now, so I'm very glad to have a working bike! Their prices for parts and maintenance seem in line with what I would expect.

When I pointed out it out I got, 'you're in the safest neighborhood in Pittsburgh... and my wife was home." Maybe so, but she didn't answer and wasn't close if someone decided to snag my bike. I even opened the unlocked basement door and yelled. So I guess no bikes ever get stolen in Forest Hills, but I can tell you where to find one. Didn't appreciate the lackadaisical attitude. Got our bikes back to the tune of $500, BFs rear hub was loose, my gears skipped after new drivetrain installed, had to abort first ride after picking it up. Bf ended up tweaking everything rather than taking them back. He didn't bother to call him about the rear hub. BF wanted to try out local bike shop bc they're 5 minutes from my house, but this guy didn't impress me. I'll go back to Kindred.

The communication was great throughout. Our guide was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and on top of the responsibilities of the tour. This is a great activity to push yourself, but not in a way that you will regret it the next day. A great time had by all! The river is generally calm. Some bumps but no big waves. Lunch was smoked ham and turkey wrap. A cookie and an apple. Guide tried to make it more fun using the rafts as a slide, and also showing us a jumping rock. We had a great time. I'd love to try the more advanced rapids sometime!
