My husband and I are from Knoxville so just about 20 minutes away but stopped after our trip to Norris because we saw the ice cream sign. I went inside and they really didn't have anything I wanted, I'm used to Baskin Robbins, but decided I could settle for strawberry cheesecake. They had an advertisement 2 scoops for 3.49. OK good deal. I notice one man waiting and 2 people using a kiosk. So I went over to the employee working to let her know I wanted to get ice cream. Her responde " you need to use the kiosk" ,My response " um what, I want to get ice cream, that says to order from deli" Her response " yeah you need to order that from the kiosk, as she rings up cigarettes. So you have folks from around the country stopping at this large gas station and you're not wearing a mask = workers more likely to get corona and then pass it on. Gross! Unexpected! We stopped in on our way to Gatlinburg. The restrooms were surprisingly fancy. The hoagies are so delicious! I had the ham hoagie with pepper jack cheese. It was honestly one of the best sandwiches I have had. I reccomend extra steam. I know that sounds strange, but trust me on this. Their ice is even the good ice, airated pellets like Sonic. We moved to this area in '74, same year Git & Go opened. The hot dogs are great. Be sure to get your burgers steamed. Joe never price gouges when other stations go up. I've heard he treats his employee's really good too, especially around Christmas. read more

Uneducated trailer trash. I go there every day for convenience but I will no longer be giving them My business after being told I had a fake id. I was getting cigs and handed Danielle my card, who has carded me numerous times before, and she stares at it a solid 30 seconds and tells me it's fake because the security letters on there just don't look right to her. And said she's up to date on the newly issued licenses and that mine is a counterfeit. Okay well riddle me this- why on earth would I make a fake id stating I'm under 21?? The deli food here is quite good. I'd choose their Big Orange Burger or Mama's Old Fashion Burger over most fast food chains any day. Prices are also very reasonable. As noted, their burgers are really good as are the BLT sandwiches. Hot dogs are good as well, though sometimes inconsistent. While the food here is good, I wouldn't dare buy gas for your car here. My favorites are the BLT, the salads, and sausage biscuits- all are made fresh in the store. Grab and go fresh sandwiches are also good. They are well known for burgers and hotdogs. Order ahead and they even have a drive through. This area has many chain fast food places where your order is rarely correct and quality overall is sub-par. I could not believe there are no prices on the products on the shelves in the stores. I ask a clerk and she said she had worked there over two years and there never has been. Why would an establishment insult our intelligence by assuming we will pay whatever they say when we go to the cashier? I used to go to Git N Go but no more. I like their breakfast sandwiches and burgers. Sometimes I ate there twice a day plus bought beer for the evening. Never again. Bought lunch one day: sandwich, chips, coke, and candy bay. The cashier did not even look at me. Rung up my items and did not say anything. Just looked at me. So I looked at the monitor and paid her. She gave me my change and looked at the next person. She did not say a word, did not thank me, and did not offer me a bag. I asked for a bag and she sighed. Then she licked all four of her fingers and grabbed a bag. I told her no thank you. She finally spoke and said, "Why"? I told her she licked her hand and grabbed a bag for my food. Nasty.
