I first requested info on line and I was contacted by phone within 24 hours. I then spoke with Tabitha at their office and explained what I was looking for. We needed someone to supervise mom, transport her to her dialysis appointments, fix meals and just provide companionship while we went out of town on vacation for 5 days. We met with Connie who came to my home and listened to my needs, met my mom and thoroughly explained their services and fees. I was happy with the prices because I thought that they were reasonable given that I needed to have peace of mind and know that my mom was going to be safe. I actually appreciated the fact that she didn't try to upsell me. Their rates are based upon the specific needs that the person has - the more needs or more hands on attention - the higher in hourly rate. My mom qualified for the lowest rate as she didn't need assistance with bathing, dressing...etc. Then, about 2 weeks later, we were introduced to my mom's caregiver, Julie. Of course, I was anxious and tried to get a good vibe from Julie since I would be allowing this person access to my mom and my home. I sensed that she was going to be fine. She clicked with my mom, hugged her and just seemed to be a good person. We went on our trip and I checked in with mom daily. After day 1, mom said "I love her (Julie)!" She said that Julie was very attentive and patient with her. Each day (we were gone for 5 days) mom reported that everything was going really well and that Julie was taking great care of her. Julie texted me daily to let me know that all was well. She drove my mom to dialysis and made her a meal upon returning home. Just knowing that someone was taking good care of my mom allowed me to truly enjoy my vacation and to relax. She even took my mom out for a walk inside the local mall for exercise, took her to lunch, took her a hair and nail salon appointment. On the last day, mom said, "Julie is good for me. Can I please have her every week?" I am going to do my best to fit this into my budget because it is truly a great help to me and good for my mom. This company is very professional, consistent and responsive in communicating with me (extremely important to me) and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

One the things he said, was consistency is a priority for for Amada. That was not the case... We used Amada for seven months... In the beginning my father required 24 hour care and then he changed to eight hour care then back to 24 hour care... there was occasional consistency at best. I must give a big shout out to Janice and Jenny who are absolutely fabulous! Janice would work double shifts to care for my dad! There was no doubt that these 2 took great care of my father. However, on the other hand we had 1 caregiver fall asleep on the job and 1 that could not stay off her phone. My appreciation to Amada for sending invoices and notes to my dad's long term health care insurance plan. Brad generally responds right away and tells you what want to hear whether completely up front or not. Overall, I would give Amada 3 stars but Janice and Jenny deserve 5 stars!

I can easily say that this is the worst medical care I have ever received. This is the first…read morereview I have left on a facility--in general, it takes a lot to upset me. I am compelled to let others know what they may face in Autumn Care of Cornelius. It was recommended by the hospital that I receive rehab after treatment for a severe break in my femur. I was given a list to choose from with star ratings. Autumn Care of Cornelius had only a 2 star rating, but a woman visited my hospital room and really encouraged me to try their facility-- that the poor rating was an old rating and they were a 4-5 star facility currently. She showed beautiful pictures and we were impressed with what she had to say. I checked other ratings online and the ratings were wide ranging. We decided to give it a go because it was close to home. As I was being transported to the place, I got a call from a neighbor warning me that many of the members of the neighborhood were "aghast" that I had opted for Autumn Care of Cornelius. I figured "What the heck--I am pretty laid back, easy to please, and it's only for a few days anyway". I am so sorry I didn't listen to them. I have been treated for years for chronic pain, due to a failed spinal fusion and peripheral neuropathy. As a psychologist, I am well aware of the dangers of addiction and opioid use, but my treatment at ACOC was nothing less than torture. My pain level from the accident was extreme, but it was never treated adequately. They would only give about half the medication I was taking for pain PRIOR to the accident. My new injury wasn't being treated at all and it was joined by pain from my prior condition. After hours of unrelenting pain, I begged them to contact my pain doctor and my husband even brought in my prescription bottles to show them my baseline pain treatment levels, but they wouldn't budge. They said since I was scheduled to leave the facility for an appointment with my pain doctor in 2 days, that I could just have him send recommendations back with me and they would honor them. I suffered through 7-8 level pain for 2 days, came back from my appointment with recommendations of my regular pain treatment plus a little extra that I could request for an extreme break out of pain. I was so relieved that I was going to get some relief, but very little changed in the next day, so I demanded to be released. They tried hard to convince me otherwise. One nurse tried to explain that some of the staff were misreading the dosage of the pill given (no excuse at all!) Ironically, the Physical Therapy team was outstanding, but I can't recommend you send your loved one there due to the unresponsive medical team. It is hard to give even 1 star. I encourage you to heed the warnings that I ignored.
