I never usually write reviews but was so seriously impressed with the care we received. My son was comfortable from the start, they talked him through what they were doing at all times and then we looked at the x-rays together to discuss treatment going forward. My son is going back for his treatment today (didn't have to wait long at all!) and I have every confidence that all will work out well. On a personal level I totally appreciated being able and encouraged to ask all questions to put my mind at ease. I'm incredibly nervous of going to the dentist myself and did not want my son to feel the same way. They made sure to include him in the conversations and he was comfortable at all times. We are from the UK and have been here for only a year - a friend recommended this dentist to us and I'm so thankful that they did! I would not hesitate to recommend SmileWorks Kids Dentist. We have taken our two boys to Dr. M&M since they had their first teeth and continue for biannual checkups. Dr. M&M makes going to the dentist fun for kids, and easy for parents. My kids look forward to going and each time we drive by the office they ask when they can go back. Watching Dr. M&M and his staff interact with their patients is amazing! It is evident the amount of passion Dr. M&M has for his profession and patients. And I love that this decor helps kids especially my kid feel less afraid of the dentist. It's hard to find and my GPS would not locate it. I also found it a bit frustrating that I was automatically scheduled for another visit without requesting another appointment just because our schedule is very hectic and they have a $50 cancellation fee. Lastly I had sticker shock at the cost even when insurance was applied.

And to top it off, it's about 50 degrees in the lobby, I can barely feel my hands and all the kids are turning blue. On a positive note, the techs and office staff are usually nice and polite, but I may have to be looking for another dentist.

I came in for a routine checkup, cleaning, and possibly some minor work. After X-rays and the exam, the hygienist suddenly claimed I needed a deep cleaning costing hundreds of dollars. That made no sense, I've never had gum issues and had a normal cleaning at another office just six months ago. I declined and asked for a standard cleaning covered by my insurance. I was then told flat out that they would NOT clean my teeth unless I agreed to the expensive deep cleaning. That's not just questionable, that's unacceptable. Refusing basic care unless a patient agrees to a costly procedure raises serious concerns about their practices and priorities. Patients should be able to trust that recommendations are based on actual need, not upselling. This experience destroyed that trust. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

The cleaning went great and the hygienist was very kind and professional. Unfortunately, everything went downhill during the root canal. During the procedure, the dentist actually broke a tool inside one of my canals. He then told me they would need to reschedule me with a different provider, quickly put a temporary filling in, and sent me out the door while I was still numb. There was no real explanation or reassurance about what happens next. To make things worse, the assistant, Ryan, seemed very unsteady and had trouble communicating. At one point, he even dropped a dental tool during the procedure, which made the whole situation feel even more uncomfortable and unprofessional. They didn't charge me for the visit, which honestly felt like an acknowledgment that things didn't go as they should have. Now I'm left with a shaved down tooth and a poorly done temporary filling, and I have to go elsewhere to fix it. At a previous appointment, the dentist mentioned he usually refers these cases to a specialist, but said he could handle it himself. That clearly didn't turn out well. On top of everything, the office itself felt dirty and disorganized. Overall, this was a very stressful and disappointing experience, and I would not feel comfortable returning.
