My general dentist referred me to Dr Ryan Taylor for a deep pocket gum issue I had following a root canal on my molar. I was presented with several options, which included laser gum treatment with a filler of bone graft. After weighing pros and cons, I opted for extraction of the molar with an eventual implant. The decision to extract and implant was in my view, solving the problem for life....if there such a thing. Pre op and post op I was treated with care and concern. Dr Taylor is personable as is his wonderful staff. Every effort was put forth to make me comfortable and at ease. The extraction went great, I healed beautifully, and I didn't need the medication for pain relief, although I may be in the minority. After several months, it was time for the implant. This time I went in with even more ease knowing I was in good hands recalling how smoothly the extraction went. I was shown the implant, the procedure was explained, and I asked questions which may have sounded a bit silly, but they were answered with concern and respect. Following both procedures, the office made a phone call to my home that evening to ask how I was doing. I was happy to report that all was well and that after a few hours of rest I was up and about with my regular routine. The literature and post op instructions were easy to understand and follow. Our dentist sent us here for a periodontal procedure for my hubs. Dr Estrin was fantastic and gentle. He took his time explaining things. At our follow up he was so personable and made us feel very comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone. However, the office staff ruins the experience. When I called to ask about an appt and insurance the woman on the phone acted like she had zero interest in assisting. When I asked if they could verify our insurance she said she would need to schedule us first and then she would call back "soon." I waited 2 weeks and ended up cancelling because no one called. My hub's periodontal situation took a turn and I had no choice but to call in and reschedule due to other periodontists having full schedules. When I explained why I cancelled, I was rushed through the process and my concerns were never spoken of. I also brought that up when we arrived at the office and was brushed off again. Your front office is your patient's first experience, and therefore shouldn't be taken lightly. read more

The expectations: I was referred to Dr Nathan Estrin at Ryan C. Taylor Periodontics by another dental office to treat gum problems. In December 2025, after taking full mouth X-ray, the treatment plan was put together that included ten procedures focusing on five teeth. The plan implied that the procedures will be covered by my UHC dental insurance. The dental office even suggested to do this in ONE urgent visit- for efficiency and for my own convenience. However, having learned a few uncomfortable lessons from dealing with other dental offices, I decided to start with the most problematic tooth and stay within the insurance allowance for 2025. I explicitly stated to the office my intentions of not exceeding the insurance limit and of avoiding out-of-the pocket expenses. The remaining procedures were left for 2026 to be pre-approved by UHC. The reality: In the 1st claim submitted to UHC after tooth extraction, the procedure D7953 ($726) has been denied. Dr Estrin was asked by UHC reviewer to justify the necessity of this procedure. Apparently, he was not able to convince either UHC... or me. In the claims reviews (copied to patients by UHC) there were no signs of additional clarifications or re-submissions from the dental office. Moreover, in the following "pre-approval" letters from UHC for 2026: ALL remaining procedures were denied! Well, I've seen things, but this was an impressive record! So, if I've swallowed the dental office bite and agreed to that ONE-FOR-ALL visit treatments in 2025, I would be on a hook for around $7500 out of my pocket! This deceptive way of treating patients and their finances is unacceptable! The sign in front of the Ryan C. Taylor Periodontics claims: "We accept most of dental insurances". Ohh, swell! But what about making real effort to defend their insurance claims and save patients out-of-pocket costs? read more

The office of Ryan Taylor sent my Claim to the wrong insurer namely, Blue Cross which should have gone to my primary, which is GEHA a federal ensure. unfortunately, they never reached out to my primary insurer to settle this bill. reaching out many times attempting to settle this era unfortunately, now I'm receiving very unkind letters and phone calls about an unpaid bill. currently they are threatening with collections and refused to continue completion of my oral surgery I am completely dissatisfied with Taylor and associates at this point I would not recommend Ryan Taylor. read more

If I could assign a lower rating to Dr. Taylor I would. My experience started 15 months ago with an appointment for a tooth extraction, bone grinding and bone graft. After being numbed up in the tooth area, I waited for twenty minutes for Dr. Taylor. While I sat patiently waiting for the procedure to begin Dr. taylor was out in the parking lot having a friendly chat with an acquaintance. This was witnessed by my wife who was waiting for me in the car. During this time my wife witnessed TWO dental assistants come out to urge him to come in to begin my tooth extraction. They were both ignored by Dr. Taylor. After over twenty minutes he returned and very hastily performed the extraction and bone graft. The end result-the bone graft didn't take and I had to go through the bone graft procedure three months later. I have recently experienced a failed attempt to conduct a surgery to correct a furcation and to preserve a molar. Dr. Fiorica is a very competent and helpful periodontist. Her support staff has been excellent. My issue is with the office environment. There is poor communication, patient relations, and follow-up with some members of the office staff at the desk. An attempt to get in touch with the office manager was greeted dismissively by the person who answered the telephone. If you do not wish to be ignored or to deal with the pompous and arrogant office personnel avoid this practice. read more

These guys rock! My hubby had 5 extractions/implants done at one time. From the moment we walked in, we knew all would be well. This is the most competent, kind and caring staff I have ever encountered in a medical office. Dr. Taylor is supreme....he made it a point to come out and speak with me and assure me my hubby had done well. State of the art equipment and the skills to use it. The entire staff was top notch. Be Ready to Pay!!! The experience i had was great until about 2 weeks after the surgery when i received a call from them telling me I owed more money. Unsure why this would happen, it was explained that the original amount i was quoted was just an estimate and that we make adjustments after the surgery. Maybe something you should explain BEFORE the surgery. As someone who lives check to check, paying an extra 300+ bucks is not an easy task. TLDR - Prepare to pay more after the surgery than your original quote! read more

Dr. Taylor is non-existent as a physician in his office. I went to Dr. Taylor for several years and saw him once. There is a pervasive and clearly defined "factory feeling" in his office in my opinion. Poor communication, patient relations, and follow-up. AVOID at all costs! read more

The staff is very friendly and remembers our previous conversations which makes you feel at home while there. Dr. Taylor is very professional and had no problems explaining things in detail to me about what was done or what we needed to do. It's bittersweet that I'm done with my journey with them. Beware at all costs if you need any extensive treatment. This doctor is only interested in doing expensive laser treatment - that is his catch all solution for all issues. I dont believe he has the knowledge to the source of the problem and this will cause you much misery expense and creates a bigger issue down the road. After having a full mouth laser treatment, I continued to have issues with healing and when I called with my concerns they will only make an appt with the hygenist. The doctor is not at all interested in seeing you after treatment. Everything is handed off to the hygenist for follow up and problems. When I did go in for my follow up appts they continued to state that I was still healing (but slowly). When I asked to see the doctor about these issues during my recovery period I was told he does not see you at all for 6 months after the surgery. Then you pay him again for a re-eval. They also told me they are a surgery center -- and it is not customary for the doctor to see you during your recovery period. What!!! Is he too busy doing more surgeries and does not have time to check his handy work? Then I had 2 gum eruptions during the healing process and my regular dentist referred me on to the endodontist with found that I had infections under several previous root canals. Ryan Taylor was notified but no concern - because my dentist and dr taylor did not address any concern of urgency I did not know any better either. Before my surgery, He never called for any tests, blood work or other diagnostics - only xrays from the dentist before proceding with the treatment. He stated "all I need is a tune up with the laser treatment and this would correct my gum issues" Fast forward 8 months later. I moved on to other doctors to find out why my gums were still raw, slow to heal and attach to teeth, have some bigger pockets, my teeth hurt in several areas and my gums are still bleeding. Now I finally found a couple of competent doctors who reviewed a through ct scan of my teeth and jaws and I have a significant underlying infection below several root canal teeth. No laser can fix that. I am now looking at removal of infected teeth and implants or other correction. The big picture is root canal teeth and cavitation from wisdom teeth eventually become infected. If you really want to get to the root of your mouth problems I recommend finding a biological dentist. A true scientist who knows how vital and connected the teeth are to the body systems. Dr Taylor is an exceptional Periodontist, and super personable and gentle. Always very conscious of his patients well being. I consulted with many dentists and periodontists before I settled on Dr. Taylor. Most others I found had a superior attitude, condescending, and detached emotionally, which was such a turn off. I haven't actually seen Dr. Taylor as one of his patients, though my dad has several times, but this review is more about his staff. I went in yesterday with an emergency dental situation that I had just discovered my regular dentist could not and would not help me with. Emily was at the front desk, and she was beyond understanding of the situation and was able to fit me in for a scan that morning. When I told them that I was leaving town next week, she and the staff did everything in their power to fit me in. While unfortunately it didn't work out, Emily was on the ball, helpful, and referred me to an oral surgeon who could fit me in. They were more understanding and helpful there than at the dentist I've been going to for years! That's the kind of thing that makes a difference and will make me a loyal patient for any future dental needs. read more

Dr. Taylor and his staff were so kind, caring and competent. He explained in detail what needed to be done and assured me that it would be an easy procedure. Dr. Taylor and his staff removed any anxiety I had about what needed to be done. My next visit was for my procedure. I was taken back to a surgical room with in minutes of arriving to his office. The staff and Dr. Taylor made me very comfortable and calm during the entire time.
