But I still enjoyed myself as I was surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. I think I stopped at every overlook just to see the mountain range from different angles. My favorite spots were Oxbow Bend and Schwabacher Landing. Both places are great for viewing the sunrise. The wildlife is pretty active in the park; however, I did visit in spring when wildlife is the most active. I saw bears, moose, and bison. It was incredible. If you are into hiking, Grand Teton offers many hiking trails. Taggart Lake trail is one of the most popular ones and it is gorgeous. This is just a short review, there were many other things I enjoyed. Overall, an amazing experience.

There is so much to do at GTP--I recommend exploring the park for at least 2+ days. Here's what I recommend. Start each day early: * 5:45 AM - Schwabacher's Landing (sunrise) * 6:45 AM - Snake River Overlook * 7:30 AM - Mormon Row (barn glow) * Jenny Lake Shuttle (8-8:30 AM, $20 RT) * Hike Hidden Falls (0.5 mi, 15-20 min) * Hike Inspiration Point (0.4 mi , 20-30 min) Take a break and have lunch at Dornan's Pizza Pasta Co. After lunch, head over to String Lake (swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding). End your day at Glacier View Turnout and Mount Moran Turnout for a scenic drive along Teton Park Road.

It's more of a boulder replica than a rock wall but very significant with lots of options for climbing to the top of this 8-10 foot man-made 'boulder' that's approximately 40 feet by 10 feet. Numerous handholds. This is a serious challenge. I don't know much about rock climbing or bouldering and that will be evident in this description. Neither do my boys. All I know is that they love this feature of this park in Jackson, and I've never seen anything else like it anywhere in America.

They forced us to pay for the Teton National Park and for the Yellowstone park separately for $70. If we wanted to go through Teton to get to Yellowstone National Park. It would be just ab additional $10 you get get an annual pass for all of the parks for the rest of year instead of having to pay $70 to drive through one to get to the other. I felt stuck and had to pay for Teton just to drive through it. There wasn't anything we wanted to see in Teton. We had no plans to visit Teton, but had to pay anyways. The pass is good for 7 days. What's the good of that? How irksome. One national park pass should cover all national parks in my honest opinion. If we wanted to enter only Yellowstone, we would have to go back through Idaho, that's a totally different state. Unreal. Quite a few sections of one way lanes due to road work and bridge work. Seemed like we got stopped more often going into the parks then leaving the parks. It's a big park. We only made it to about 1/4 or maybe even 1/4 of the length of the park. Lewis lake was the most beautiful part of the park for me.

Sinks Canyon is so named because of a rushing river that flows out of the mountains and through the canyon. Halfway down, the river turns (sinks) into a cavern and runs underground for 1/4 mile where it emerges in a pool called "The Rise". In the Rise there are Rainbow and Brown trout; the larger ones may weigh up to 12 lbs, but NO FISHING! For a quarter you can buy fish food to feed the fish, which is fun for everyone. A must-do if you are in the area! Also check out the Visitor Center. It is small, but is one of the best I've seen, and I've seen many. The wildlife is well displayed; and I loved the wildflower displays. The geologic rocks outside the visitor center are also A+. Well done, absolutely 5 stars.

The geysers and the hot springs are surreal. My favorites spots were the Grand Prismatic Spring, Mammoth Hot Springs, and Fountain and Artist Paint Pots. I saw elks, bison, grizzly bears, and a wolf. My recommendations are: visit during off season (if you can), book a guided tour if it is your first time in the park, and get the America the Beautiful Pass.

I really liked that they have puddle jumpers and other floatation devices you can borrow for your kids. Being out of state, this was super helpful, since we didn't travel with ours. We found this gem during our visit to Jackson Hole. The hot spring is suitable for all ages -- we…read moresaw families with kids enjoying the pools, while many adults relaxed quietly in the water. There are approximately six pools at the site. When you first enter, you will see two pools designed for children and their parents. To the right, there is a cold plunge and another hot spring. If you walk further down the path, you will find two more pools. In addition to the hot springs, the park also offers a small playground for children and a sunbathing area for adults. We tried all the pools except the ones designated for kids. We loved the hot pools, but the cold plunge stood out, it was so cold that it made us feel numb. After soaking in the hot springs, we purchased some drinks from the front desk to cool down. The site also provides showers so you can rinse off the hot spring water before leaving. We recommend bringing your own towel and a waterproof phone protector, just in case you accidentally drop your phone.
