My rating is closer to 3.5. It worked well for $100 total for a room on the fly at midnight. I rounded up to counterbalance the negative reviews. It's a young couple just getting their bearings. They do stay across the street, and immediately answered the phone when I called. Very friendly and accommodating. Let me see room first. The room was clean, bug-free, had bathtub, and lovely blue towels--far superior to the rough bleached towels of a Motel 6! No smells. Frig and. HVAC worked fine. No breakfast. I did not request ice, and assumed that like many older hotels, their ice machine is probably not working. Did lack garbage cans. It isn't a brand new building, so some updating would give it a solid 4 rating. For the price it worked well. read more

The worst hotel in the world. Don't ever stay here! We booked at the inn location and there was a note on the door that said go across the street to check in at the new location. So we came over and no employee was present on site. It had a note at the front desk that said so call a number of you needed help. So my boyfriend called and it rang and rang forever. We could hear it ringing in the back. Finally she answered and said give me 5 minutes. Ummmm excuse me? I've been traveling for a long time and when I get to a motel/hotel I would like to have an actual employee there to greet me/ check me in. I shouldn't have to wait. When she got there she said thanks for waiting I was taking a shower. Omg are you serious!? You make people who pay wait while you take a shower? This place is a dump. If I could give it a minus star if I could. It looks like it was decorated by a grandma in the 70-90s. When driving up it looks deserted/closed. The pool was closed for the season in August, just as well by the looks of it I wouldn't have let a dog swim in it. I can hardly believe that AAA has approved this place, maybe back in the day but not now. The only thing it had going for it was it was quite due to nobody staying there. read more

Look for the penguin and you cant miss this hotel, either of the two locations. Yes, upon entering Cut Bank I was greeted by a huge penguin, proclaiming this the coldest spot in the US. Good to know. But it was 82 degrees when I was there, so really not relevant. I went into this hotel only to find a sign saying "Please go to the window at the other hotel (same name) across the street. Hmmmm OK, so I got back into my car and went across the street, and no, this was not a 20 yard walk, but also, I assumed I would be sleeping in the building on that side so had luggage to think about. They have decorated the front very nicely. All sorts of fresh planted flowers and the like. They needed a little water, but its usually not that warm here in Cut Bank, so that's to be expected. Once inside the environment is from perhaps the 1970's? Anyway looked like it had not been updated in many many years. Keep in mind, this is an AAA approved place. I get to the desk and am checked in by the owner (I presume) and her husband. I'm always happy to see owner operated places, so this was nice. This is a place that serves breakfast, and they let me know it would be available at 6:30 in the place across the street. Not relevant for me as I was leaving long before that, but most places I have been to start breakfast at 6 am. Turns out I was housed in the place across the street, so the one I started my journey at. So I get back into the car and go across the street. The room was ok. Cleaner that evidently the prior reviewers was, and yes, I checked after reading his review. But it was not terrific. I turned the AC on, the room was HOT, and it was pretty effective pretty quickly. I don't think you need AC here much, so I was actually impressed it worked that well. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. The fridge kind of worked, but it was not convincing. I did not try the microwave or the coffee maker. The TV, mounted on the wall, was flat screen, kind of a surprise given the rest of the room and the outside of both buildings. But it did not swivel. So, sitting at the desk, you could not see the tv. Oh well. Then I went to get ice. The machine was broken and had a sign to go get it across the street at the other building. So across the street I went, only to find that that machine had a few small containers with ice, most of which was melted together, and a note saying - "Take a little here but if you need to fill up your cooler, go across the street to the larger ice maker". Really? Both signs looked pretty old, so I was not impressed. I don't use a lot of ice, but many of my neighbors were heading into Glacier Mountain Park to camp, and I bet they use a lot of ice. Calling the front desk resulted in ringing forever, no answer. Turns out the number on the phone is wrong, but I did not see the sign in the lobby that said that until the next morning. The wifi in this place was terrible. weak and kept cutting out. Don't advertise free wifi if you are not going to have a good signal. Honestly. I saw people sitting in the lobby with computers, which I realized was because the signal was stronger there, but it should be easy to use in the room too. The room came with terrific outlets though. Tons of them, good heights, not hidden behind the bed etc. Have to say, that was impressive. Many looked new, so like the flat screen TV, did not fit in the rest of the place. I'm giving this three stars, it was ok after-all, but they really should update a little or there will be another game in town that does. Right now I think there are two other places in town, one was not AAA approved, so I did not even consider it, and driving by that was a wise decision. The other, perhaps a Super 8? is AAA approved, and if I were to come back to Cut Bank, I might try that. But the truth is, I'd bypass staying in this town again if possible. This place called us and told us they had to cancel our reservation which we had made several weeks in advance. This was at 2pm of day of reservation. They said they had overbooked. Like they were an airline company. When asked why he was canceling our reservation he said he was picking random rooms. The guy was extremely rude and defensive. No offer of any sort of comps. This was January in Montana and was a very unsafe traveling weekend. I had drill for the Army National Guard and my wife was traveling alone to watch our son for a wrestling tournament. When I called myself the guy was extremely rude with absolutely zero apologies. There was no other availability and my wife was able to book another hotel 60 miles away only because so many schools had cancelled because of the bad weather conditions. read more

This is a nice little motel in Cut Bank. It was low cost. Just enough amenities for the night. The room did smell of dog, but that's because we had a pet room. Wi-Fi worked really well. The bed and towels were Motel 6 quality, but sufficient for our stay. Pleasant surprise next to the penguin. read more

I was really happy with this place! They're pet friendly and happily made a reservation for us at 9pm, we showed up at 10pm that same night with no trouble! The staff was super friendly, helpful and available at all hours! The room and bathroom were both very clean and tidy. I've stayed in hotel chains twice as expensive and half as pleasant as this! read more

Stayed here as a last resort when we couldn't get another room and were worn out. Room was not the worst in the world, but definitely not the best. Could have been cleaner, but not to terrible. What was terrible was the condition of the outer hotel. OMG, I was ready to drive another 100 miles when we first pulled into the driveway. Outside of the lobby was filthy, I did not go in with my husband to book the room but sat in the car looking at the broken window, the weeds, the peeling paint, and the filth. I was about to go tell him not to book when he came out with the key. Then we head to the room with me threatening to leave him there. There is no lock on the main door. The hall is dingy and gross. The paint is peeling and it is dirty, weeds all over in the front. Surprisingly, the room is somewhat cleaner, but not the cleanest. Smeared mirrors, broken armoire, wires hanging down from TV. Even at the cheapest rate in town, it is way overpriced for the condition it is in. A little TLC would go a long way. I do not recommend. read more

We booked a two night stay there on October 26 and 27th, 2018. My wife arrived ahead of me and told me that there was no one at the front desk, so, I told her to wait. A half an hour later she called me again and told me that no one had showed up and that she was starting to feel very nervous about being there because it was such a seedy place. A half hour after that she called me again and told me that she was going to go to the Super 8 on the other end of town and that she wouldn't stay in that hotel if her life depended on it. On the 29th I noticed that the hotel charged my credit card a room fee of $128.00. Upon having booking.com call them, they admitted that no one was at the desk, but, they insisted that if my wife would have used the telephone at the desk someone would've answered her. I asked for a full refund to which they replied that they would only refund the cost of one night's stay! Let's just say that this was not the right answer. Now, we will open up litigation against them to get our money back for the room, the cost of our stay at Super 8 and our attorney's fees. Do not, I repeat, do not stay at this hotel. It is rundown, overpriced and looks like hideout for a clandestine meth lab. read more
