However, when us old folk want to relax and enjoy the water, we select their pontoons. To add, their staff goes above and beyond to help make every boat trip stress free! Our favorite marina, bar none, is the Suntex Boat Club in Acworth, GA. These staff members have become more like family to us because of the level of service they provide us with every visit. We aren't just another number to them. With every visit, they go out of their way to ensure we don't carry our things to and fro, they ensure we have all we need once we are on the boat, and thoroughly explain things when we have any questions or concerns. Beautiful! We had a…read moregreat weekend camping at Red Top Mountain! My family booked the walk-in campsites 46-50, and in my opinion, these were some of the best spots in the campground. (Book 44 &43 if you want to be closer to 47-50). These campsites are right next to the water and not too far from the bathrooms, which is so convenient. There is no electricity there and site has their own water. We had beautiful weather during the day and a nice cool breeze at night. Make sure to keep all your coolers secure because a couple of raccoons broke into several of ours. P.s. There is also an outlet right by the parking lot next to campsite 47.

Their 100 gallon/minute pumps saved my boat more than once before I knew what aeration tank switch was for or that it could rain 22" over a weekend in Georgia. Boat mechanics were always fair too if not backed up. While I haven't seen Park Marina yet from shore, so far the view from Harbor Town is the most beautiful of any marina on the very widest part of Lake Allatoona I've ever seen...better than Xanax!

We have visited Lake Acworth via Cauble Park on numerous occasions and always tend to enjoy ourselves. The water is always calm and clean, on the surface at least. The lake is well maintained and surrounded by the park, woods, a neighborhood and a highway. So, always something different to look at whether you are hanging on the beach or kayaking around the water. While most of our visits are for walking and enjoying the beach, I have visited for fireworks and other community events. The lake and park hold up well. There are onsite restrooms and such as well, which make trips here a bit easier. You will find folks enjoying all things from building sandcastles to walking the pups, grilling out, fishing or just chilling. When I visit, we tend to do it all, except the fishing part. Overall, Lake Acworth is a cute spot for a chill afternoon. Low energy needed to enjoy yourself here. Keep in mind that the main access point is through Cauble Park, which for non-Acworth city residents charges by the vehicle, usually no more than $20.

We have rented both a pontoon boat and one with a slide and all of their boats are kept up to standard and are clean. The person who drives the boat is required to take a test and know boat safety before getting in the water. We rented a pontoon boat from 11 am to 5 pm and was $550 plus gas consumption. They do get really busy and packed, so parking could be an issue. The walk from parking to where you check in is quite hilly, so keep this in mind when bringing children/elders. There's even a place where you can inflate your floaties to enjoy the lake better!

Boat was dirty, full of leaves with cabinets/under seat locations filled with stink bugs they promised they would clean. Delivered in same condition. Promised me an included safety kit with the sale. Didn't deliver it. Multiple times, the sales lady said she'd ship me an anchor. Didn't deliver it. Claimed they did a multi-point inspection only to find a month later an impeller ready to fail and old broken fuel lines. They processed GA registration with the incorrect HIN# so it was a mess and a long wait trying to re-register in my state. Don't trust a thing these people say they will do because they won't.

The marina is fine but good luck if you need a mechanic. We came to get our boat out of the water…read morefor the winter and it wouldn't start. I went to the mechanic to ask if he could help. He said he could make a work order and maybe get to it in a couple weeks. Since we need to get it out and winterize it, two weeks isn't an option. He suggested a battery, which I purchased. This batter weighs about 40 lbs. do you think he even offered to carry it to the car for me? Hello no! I struggled out the door and down the steps to my car with that thing without him saying so much as thank you. Definitely will not be visiting the mechanic shop again at this marina again.
