Pretty fair pricing and huge map with different terrain. we left gassed and with some good stories. we were definitely at a disadvantage with our stock guns against folks with their customized ones. This place has the potential to be exceptional. But they cut corners on safety. For instance, but not limited to the squirrel holes. Nothing like running around to have your leg swallowed up by a hole they could have easily filled before the day began only to twist your ankle and dive into a spool head first. Not only would it result in a better customer experience if your staff took 20 minutes to take care of such before the day began, but it would reduce your legal liability. Yes, congrats you have a waver, but someday you will find the waver doesn't protect you like you think it does from gross negligence. Again you're expanding in value added ways to your customers, but exposing yourself and customers to serious injuries like I suffered today. I hope you take this feedback serious because you will find not all customers have health insurance as well as being as tolerant as me. read more

We just had my son's 10th birthday party here because it was so much fun when we did it before! This was our second year having a party here, not only because my son and his friends had so much fun last year, but because the staff were so helpful and made it such an easy experience. Nathan was such a fun & energetic host/ref our first year, and he happened to be our same ref this year as he trained Isaac, who also added to the fun! This is such a wild experience for kids and adults as well, as many of the parents from our group joined in on the fun and had an amazing time. Aggressive old man 3x older than everyone refused to get out after being shot and went on to shoot everyone from point blank (I think their rule is supposed to be something like 10 feet or further?) this place is great fun for all who are interested in this fascinating sub culture. For our son and his friends, the party was awesome! A couple of hours of paintball on 8 different courses. Amazing! There were guys there who seem to be there often and they seemed to have a blast in this world of high velocity paint! The guy in charge of teaching our son's party, with a birthday boy and 7 of his friends, was not only unmasked but was also scoffing at people in masks. It's the type of hypermasculineantimaskyridiculousness that just defies understanding. As a result of this attitude from those in charge, almost none of the other paintballers wore masks(i mean, you know, outside of the fighting area). We came here last weekend for a bachelor party and had a pretty seamless experience. The paintball park is located on (or next to?) an Army base and spans 10 acres, with 8 fields. GPS takes you to the front of the Army base, where a guard will direct you to get back on the road, make a left at the next stoplight, and follow the signs to the park. I made the reservation with Dave about a month in advance and booked Package 2 (all day entry, 1 rental package, 500 mid-grade paintballs, ​compressed air for 500 paintballs) for $45.95, and also made a note that we'd like to join general public afterwards. After you sign your paperwork, they get you started with a brief but informative instructional with game rules and gear usage before sending you to get your gear. The gear wasn't anything special but was definitely sufficient, and you have the option to upgrade for an add cost. You can also buy paint grenades and smoke bombs ($8). Thought that was a little pricey for only spraying for about a minute or less. The maps were pretty cool and the refs were patient and friendly. I understand how some of the other reviewers can feel ripped off with their situations, but it seems as if they're thinking about it from their personal perspective which is not fair to the business as there are overhead costs for the employees required to run the games and equipment. If you make a reservation, you should show up - or at least communicate your changes with the business prior to the day you show up. We had a good time. read more

Last time I played at this field was 9 years ago. So much positive changes have taken place. Took my 10 year old for his first time of playing paintball ever and he really enjoyed it and wants to go back. Cleaniest restrooms at a paintball field I have ever seen. The referee for the day was attentive and checked anytime some player needed a paint check. Friendly staff. The fields are very nice fun, safe and are great for any type of player whether they are first timers or seasoned. Will be returning soon. Loved the paintball game itself but the ref was EXTREMELY rude! Didn't catch her name but she had brown hair, was a young adult and had a tattoo on her forearm and it said something about dreams and chasing them. Everyone in the group agreed she was being super rude and short with everyone that we didn't even want to ask her questions if we had them because she was so mean. Also most of us were first timers and trying to figure the game out and she kept on rushing us and talking about how were we not playing fast enough. TL;DR. Gladiator Paintball Park is a great place with friendly and helpful staff. Many different maps for paintball of varying sizes. Great for all ages too since they have more than just paintball there (paintball, paintball lite, airsoft, nerf wars, axe throwing, gelly ball). FULL REVIEW. We were in the area for the weekend for a bachelor party with a group of 8. On Saturday we went axe throwing in the afternoon. When we got there check in was a breeze. Once we were checked in we were shown to our lanes and given a brief demonstration of how to throw the axes. When you're with a whole group of friends, the 1 hour reservation goes by really quick. We were having so much fun that we didn't realize we had gone over by half an hour. When we returned the axes I asked about the extra time and the lady advised it was fine since they were closing in a few minutes. We came back Sunday morning for a private paintball session and that was fun as well! 3 people in our group had been paintballing in the past, the other 5 were brand new. After a quick demonstration on how to operate the guns and house rules, we were setup with our rental equipment and on our way out to the first map. Our referee for the day was Bailey and she was great. Since we were a private party she gave us a lot of flexibility and was super chill to talk with between games. The maps that we played on were great because of how different each of them were. We played on 2 small maps, one with lots of cover and the other with more open space, and we also played on 1 large map which was a good combination of open space and covered space. We even did the "bunny run" where the groom to be had to run in a straight line while the rest of the party got to shoot him up. But he also got a chance to get back at us as we all ran in a straight line while he shot us up akimbo style. Unfortunately I don't live in the area, otherwise I'd come back here more often. But if I ever make my way back to the SLO area I will definitely make this a thing to do! read more

Gladiator Paintball Park is a great venue! We had our son's 9th birthday with his friends, and it was a success the boys had so much fun! The referee Enrique was very knowledgeable, personable, and ensured the boys played safe. The junkyards had little houses, airplanes, buses, & cars making it more exciting for the boys. The zombie hunt is boring. Paid $106 for tickets for 30 mins. Kids and adults were all excited. Go back to start the game but you have to watch a really dumb 'end of the world' video. Which eats up about 10 mins of your time. Then you have to follow a path with a leader single file and all the other participants. You shoot at the zombies, following the path. The zombies dont scare you. They dont jump out at you. They walk around looking bored out of their minds. Some are dressed up, some aren't. I get liability and all that, but their description on their website makes it seem so bad ass and cool, with zombies chasing you etc. but its boring and not at all thrilling or fun. And sells out every year??? Ya, no. Was barely full. Waste of $100 for 4 tickets. Maybe $10 a ticket? The 'military' guy who's your leader has a major ego trip. I think he takes his role a little too seriously. He also shoved my kid back which really irked me. Dude needs to take it down a notch. Wouldn't recommend and won't go back. Came to celebrate my niece's 16th birthday by axe throwing and loved it! You are given your own lane to play in with barstools and a table to watch at.
