We were so exited to do boat sailing. On the day of our reservation a guy called at 9:30am to let us know he won't be there till 12:30pm. Our reservation time was 10:30. Having to delay and change the appointment It pushed our whole day back and we had to cancel another reservation that we had booked for 12:00. Once we got there for our boat there was apparently one guy working the boats. He said we would have to wait an additional 30-45 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous so we patiently waited. Once it was the time he said he is still not ready to wait 15 more minutes. Finally he went over the rules and guidelines but there were so many people no one social distancing and he wanted everyone grouped all together to go over the information. There was like 18-20 people and half with no masks. Finally got on the boat half way though the boat was smoking and wasn't picking up speed. We brought it back took about another 10 minutes got it fixed and back out. I think customer service is very important for a business and when there's a complaint and all of a sudden there's no manager available or owner available to talk to it's extremely frustrating. I don't think we would come back to rent from this particular boat rental company. read more

My sad update.... DG and I drove 30 miles from where we were staying to rent jet skis on the Saturday that I told Stuart we would be coming up. We didn't have reservations, but he had said that he would be there so it wouldn't be a problem. I called Stuart as we were leaving, and left a message saying we were on the way. I was a little concerned when I didn't hear back from him, and it was drizzling slightly when we got close to the area. But he was so friendly and positive when I talked to him the day before, that I figured it would be fine. When we got there, two girls were scheduling whale watching boat trips, and were very friendly, but told me that Stuart wasn't there. They tried to call him on the number I had, as well as his partner, and couldn't reach either of them. We left and figured we would come back the next day, and that we would get a call back at some point. Unfortunately, Stuart never called me back. : ( I'm open to trying him out another time, and raising the stars - but it would have been nice if he would have returned my call - especially after being so friendly on the phone and surely hearing my message that we were heading out to him. The upside: we took an AWESOME ultralight flight along the coast from Sky Rider Ultralight in Camarillo instead!! Woooohooooo!! read more

When I was planning my vacation to Santa Barbara, I knew I wanted to do something out of the ordinary that I couldn't really do back home in Las Vegas. I searched around and when I saw jet skiing, I knew I had to try it. All of the equipment that you need is provided by this business. You don't need any experience operating a jet ski; they will explain everything you need to know. All of the workers here were super nice and helpful. If you happen to bring anything with you, they will hold it until your return. One hour on the jet ski cost us $135. They provide a watch for you that can be held in a water safe compartment of the jet ski. They let you go out pretty far, so you can go pretty fast on the ski without worry of going out too far. Jet skiing was an awesome experience. This was something that was totally out of my comfort zone, but I'm so glad that I tried. The water was nice and I got to see a couple of seals. If you're looking for something fun to do while in Santa Barbara, I recommend this 100%. read more

Made a reservation a week in advance for my birthday. Get to the place and the staff says the jet ski crew wasn't there. We waited for 20 minutes for them to get a hold of him. Once he answers he says there's no record of our reservation, that he wasn't going to come in, and he wasn't apologetic at all. Ended up having to make a reservation at a different place in Oxnard and they said this place doesn't show up a lot. Wouldn't recommend unless you make sure to get an email or some sort of confirmation, so unprofessional. read more

Amazeballs! This is THE thing to do in SB. Reservations were made easily and everything was ready to go upon arrival. The staff is super friendly and just wants you to have a great time. Arrived well after they opened but was told we could not rent a jet ski until the owner arrived about 1pm. We will go elsewhere. Have rented a sea-doo twice and paddle boards once. Paddle board experience was really poor, not their fault but they definitely didn't help. Got stung by a sting ray getting off the board at the sandbar area, called them to help out, instead of helping they gave me the harbor patrol phone number rather than either hopping in one of their boats or calling for me. Then when I returned(I had been on board maybe 5 min before being stung) I was not offered a refund, it's only $25 but the gesture would have meant a lot considering how miserable I was at that moment. OMG! Ok this is what you need to do when in Santa Barbara! The price is right, the water is beautiful and you might even see some dolphins. The staff is so nice and helpful. Try and get a mid-afternoon reservation. The water is more calm then, but you still might have some of that morning fog. It's burned off by noon or 1pm, but the water can get a little choppy then. Pretty easy renting a Kayak from their shop that's right next to the harbor. We rented 2 kayaks and one of their guys helped us get onto them. Kayaking in the ocean is different than on a lake. The waves definitely make it more exciting. Getting out of the kayaks was a little hard. We did not have a phone on us to contact the shop for help. We basically had to get the kayaks to their harbor, tie them and get out. Which was pretty hard. read more

I was originally planning to rent at a location in Marina Del Rey, but I read some horrible things (in addition to learning about a surcharge for 3 people) and decided to try this place in Santa Barbara instead. I made the right decision. The experience here was pretty seamless. Walked in (with no reservation), and stated I wanted to rent three jet skis. Signed a form, was made aware of the deposit and charge, and shortly thereafter was acquainted with the gentleman who would be setting us up. Didn't get his name, but he was friendly as can be. Explained the rules and regulations, provided some advice, and we were off. It was a fantastic time. Arrived back, collected our belongings, and headed home. Couldn't have asked for anything more. I'm in Santa Barbara for the weekend and I thought that booking a wave runner would be a great idea. I considered going to Oxnard for the place with more reviews, but the rate here in SB was the same. These guys were the only option on Yelp in SB that I could find, so there aren't many choices available locally. That said, I had an excellent time here and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an adrenaline rush. The staff is all friendly and they explain rules, best practices, etc. thoroughly. Once you are debriefed, they send you off into the open ocean. Luckily for us the ocean was calm like a baby in the womb, so we were able to go full throttle as we pleased. We enjoyed every minute of the trip. My wife an I were in Santa Barbara just for a weekend. Renting a jet ski was a spare moment decision and we were glad we did it. We had an excellent time. As a matter of fact we liked it so much that we arrived back a few minutes after the cut off time. I don't remember the name of the agent, but he was super nice.
