Luis was the only one working there. He is very unprofessional and rude. What could have been a fun outing turned into an unplesant day. Our group was not happy with they way he treated us and they will also be leaving their review of this place. Do not bother coming here, service is horrible and the Ax quality is below par, there are much better Ax throwing locations than this.

The first time I went ax throwing was in Toronto a while back which was a blast! This time around in this location was fun too. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Location in downtown SLO is great so it easy to grab a drink or food after. Similar to golf, I realized that over thinking your technique makes it harder. You are better off practising and going with what feels comfortable to you. It might be Covid related but they only had water and no food.

I was a little bit intimidated to participate in Axe throwing. Entering the venue you hear and see axes flying. But, once I got started it was great. I wanted to keep beating my last toss. Do you know the feeling in bowling when you keep getting a strike you want to keep that momentum and embrace the feel of the perfect roll? Same here. You want to beat your last throw. Good to see some recreation happening downtown. Already started planning my daughter's 25th birthday and I think this will be a great place to go before Meter Monday at Flour House. Enjoy this place, owner and staff are happy to have you there and teach you what they know. It's safe, active and fun!

We were in SLO lacking things to do because of the crazy storm. My daughter (16 yo) and I had been wanting to try Axe Throwing for a while. We walked in without an appointment and lucky to get started without a wait. (You can make appointments online.) $20 pp for 30 min was an awesome deal and just enough time to try it out. If we had a larger group, we'd definitely pay for an hour. The employees were amazing at helping us feel comfortable and teaching us to be successful axe throwers! Next time, we are definitely keeping score! Clean place Good music Family friendly Drinks and snacks available & affordable Friendly atmosphere Judgement free - so come try it!

We walked in to a packed house. We weren't greeted at all and had to ask for assistance. Unfortunately due to our large group the wait time was going to be over 2 hours. We will have to come back into town to try this place out and hopefully with better service.

This is my favorite new hobby! It started off as a fun date night after a very long week, but after the throw of that first axe -feeling it connect with the wood- I WAS HOOKED! I even went out and bought my own axe after that. 'Battle Axe' really, really needs to come up with a 'Regular's punch card' or something. I would pay for a membership.

This place is a great concept! Located downtown you will find a fun and engaging spot sure to thrill both young and old. The employees are very thorough with the safety instructions and are super helpful in teaching you techniques with the various axes to help get you on the board. Axe throwing actually requires a bit of skill and technique, so it was great having them help us figure out which axe would be the right fit for us and what throw (one or two handed) would be the best. I think the pricing is a little high- this is something that I would do more often if the price was a little more reasonable.

This has been an activity we have wanted to try for some time. Sooo happy this is now offered locally and what better place than the heart of Downton SLO. It appears the business is still it the beginning stages of opening but all the basics are there. Axes and targets!!! Staff are super friendly, throughly explain rules and offer their assistance to improve your technique. There are several throwing lanes and you purchase time increments. Warning.....time goes by VERY FAST so start throwing before your time runs out. Throwing does take some technique. The environment is safe and it's just a fun atmosphere. The establishment offers some snack and drinks and location is clean. A must try if yourSLO and then walk to the many downtown restaurants, bars, shops while your down there!

Was in SLO for market day and discovered the Battle Axe. I didn't even know they had one. We just walked in and put our name on the list. If you can reserve, I suggest to do so. We paid for 1hr and was there perfect timing for two people. They give a great military discount and the girls in there were awesome. They do give you some pointers then start your paid time. This battle axe was so much fun. I suggest wearing comfortable shoes. My feet were not prepared but then again I was walking around all over downtown SLO. Such a good stress relief as well. Give it a try if you haven't done one of these. I'm glad I did and will definitely be back again for some stress relief fun!

Such a fun date night! $20/person for a half hour and that was more than enough time to get a good number of throws in. The staff was awesome with very clear instructions and a great attitude. Can't wait to bring some friends and have a little competition.

Let's be honest - this is a place where you throw axes at a wooden wall. As straightforward as it sounds, it's a heck of a lot more fun than bowling. I mean - where else can you literally throw an axe at a target for fun?

This place was a lot of fun. Me and wife were in town enjoying a weekend and this place was well worth the time. The owners were also really kind to take the time to show us how to properly throw the ax. It was a lot of fun!

    7pts!

The snack bar was nice and had all the typical stuff and they had restrooms off to the side. Picture quality was actually nice, surprisingly. I brought my 4-year-old son to see Toy Story 5. While carrying him from the concession stand, he accidentally dropped his hot dog bun onto the ground before we could even make it back to our car. When I went back inside to request a replacement bun, an employee nepotistic "grandchild" named Brian informed me that I would be charged for it again. When I questioned being charged for just a bun under the circumstances, Brian became visibly hostile. He complained that he "did not like that I expected it for free." He then stated he would issue a refund instead, explicitly saying he was doing so because he "didn't like that I expected something." This logic made absolutely no sense. I pointed out how counterproductive it was to issue a full refund just so I could immediately repurchase the item, especially while my son was crying in the car waiting for his food. Brian forced the refund through anyway and made me repurchase the item. To make matters worse, when I asked for the name of his grandfather "manager"so I could report the incident, Brian flatly refused to give it to me. This is why, sometimes family isn't the best way forward when filling critical roles within companies, especially the customer facing ones.
