I found Cham through friends that followed her on IG and so happy I did! I first came to Glam by Cham (don't you just love that name) to get my face beat for engagement photos. My makeup was realllllly pretty and lasted all day. I took engagement pictures and had my engagement party on the same day. It was very important that my makeup last at least 8 hours and it did with no problems! I received so many compliments from my fiancé and friends. Cham is located at The Glam Lounge located off Greenville Ave. It is tucked away behind a restaurant and next to a Starbucks. It isn't particularly easy to find, but trust your GPS! You'll find it. Great make up artist! Very bad personality and customer service skills. Attempted to book her using her website. I needed to book for 2 people and there were open spots available that were back to back. After booking the first one, the second spot was no longer there suddenly. I called her to find out if someone else got the spot or does her website just block until she confirms it. Well she was pretty rude. But it was a simple fix, cancel the booking and find someone else. Too many makeup artist in the area to deal with that. Prior to this, I referred a friend to her because I've seen her work and watched her working in a salon so I knew she was good. Cham is good at doing make up but she is NOT professional at all. She always has an attitude, especially with people she doesn't know. If her friends are there to get their make-up done, she's very pleasant with them. Now if this person is new or she doesn't know them too well, her attitude and rudeness is on 10. Things she has discussed are very inappropriate. Once she had a conversation with a staff about her son discussing sex. There were 2 little girls sitting with their mother waiting to get their makeup done. She didn't care and thought it was cute. She always has had inappropriate music playing while kids were sitting there. I'm close with one of her friends and found out that she will reschedule your appt and put her close friends in your slot. She'll make you come later. A friend of mine booked her for a wedding months in advance and she emailed a week before the wedding and stated that its prom season, and that she has to do make up for the girls going to prom. She also said that she doesn't travel to the bride. Which was a lie. There are more professional good make up artist out there. A paying customer should not have to deal with all that she brings to the table. She is not who she claim to be on IG. One more thing, I was referred by her friend which is my friend. The friend told me to call her to schedule and Sham went off. She said don't call my phone and who gave you my number? She stated I don't talk to customers on the phone. I would like start this review off by saying I was highly disappointed with the level of service that was render to me. 1.) I was in town for a my bday and was excited to get my makeup done by one of Glam by Cham professionals makeup artist. 2.) After reviewing the work done by the professionals in the shop. I was eager to receive the experience. 3.) I went online and requested service, which NO one called me to confirm appointment. However, after several phone calls and txt MSG I was able to connect with someone @ the # listed on there sign once my flight made it to Dallas. 4.) Only to get the run-Around from the person on the other end of the phone stating... "I don't see your request online for service and she added we are in the process of remodeling the location where you are and it's CLOSE until further notice" I just have to add the shop was not in a Remodeling stage! I The studio was extremely beautiful (yet small) neat and clean as seen online! It gave me NO indication it was being remodeled at the present time! 5.) I was livid and baffled at that point! She offered me a discount and asked me if I would be willing to come to the shops second location on the other side of town 45 minutes away! 6.) I was frustrated and nevertheless, I declined! 7.) She's good at what she does. But there are many other makeup artist in Dallas that are more professional. The first time I went to her, she got mad because I had on mascara and proceeded to tell me that she hated clients that come in there with makeup on and that "we" should know better. Just a horrible all around attitude. I'm a professional and I couldn't believe she spoke to me that way. Then here's the gotcha I scheduled online for a booking for my wedding. I asked her if she'd be willing to travel to me. She refused to answer that question until 30 days before my wedding and then just flat out told me she couldn't do it. Leaving me looking for another make artist 3 weeks before my wedding. The sheer lack of hervunprofessional demeanor is the reason for my rating. I have been to Cham a few times for my makeup to be done for my events. She is absolutely good at what she do, however there is a lack in customer service. For repeat clients, I feel like she should try to at least get to know her clients better. She doesn't say anything to you at all the entire appointment unless it's about a look you're going for or what is your skin type. I understand artists pick and choose what clients they want to service and who they want to be more engaged with, but to keep clientele morale up and going and making clients feel welcomed, she can do a lot better in that area.
