Kelly did the makeup for the bridal for my best friends wedding this past weekend. It was actually astonishing how well my makeup stayed on my face. In the end of July and with me crying all day, my makeup was still perfect at 330 am! She was the nicest woman I had ever met and really took what we all wanted into account. She was extremely reasonably priced considering the amazing work she did. She was prepared, sweet, and catered to US like we were royalty. I don't know why anyone would use anyone else! read more

I first reached out to Kelly after I had made a last minute decision to not use my current makeup artist about a month before my wedding. I found her after doing an online search and she came up with great reviews. Of course I feared that she would be booked, but thankfully she wasn't. Kelly was very responsive to emails, had competitive pricing and was flexible with setting up my trial appointment. My fiancé and I met Kelly at her studio located in Bayshore. She was very warm and I immediately felt comfortable with her. Unlike my previous artist, she listened to what I wanted and created a look that I loved on the first try. I also was very happy that she included airbrushing as a standard in the pricing. The day of the wedding she arrived on time and with the same bubbly personality. She did a fantastic job. She did my maid of honor and mother in law's makeup and they both looked beautiful. My final look made me feel like a beautiful bride and she was very patient with all of the small details I requested of her. My makeup amazingly lasted all night! I had to reapply the lip gloss ( I purchased that and a lip liner from Kelly for $10 each to carry on me all night) but the rest of the makeup held strong, even when my husband "accidentally" smeared my face with a huge glob of cake and then it had to be wiped off. Overall I would definitely recommend Kelly as a makeup artist. read more

I don't even want to give this a full star!! The service HORRIBLE, Kelly single handed ruined my wedding. My mother actually was in tears and Kelly could care less. She was 45 minutes late causing my photographer to get upset. She glared at him and shrugged at him when he mentioned politely that we needed to keep schedule. I asked her at the consult if she would be using waterproof make up and low and behold I looked like a raccoon by end of cocktail hour! to make matter worse as if they could get any worse... she tried over charging me!!!! I visited this business and had a make over trial by Kelly and hair by Lisa. The salon is located upstairs opposite the Bridal Suite in Bay Shore, New York. I had planned to have the up do on the biggest day of my life, my son's wedding. I explained that I would be visiting alone as the bride and her large wedding party would be out east and had secured appointments. The plans were secured with a date and time for the up do far in advance. I was happy with the up do and found both staff pleasant. Imagine my surprise when Kelly calls and informs me that they must change the time of my up do to 8;30am, or perhaps 1;00 pm or 1;30pm. ( Church service scheduled at 3 pm) Impossible to make, as I was to be at church at 2;30pm. HUH???? They had a change of venue and had extra girls added to the wedding party that booked, on the same day. Of course, I was only one person, versus 5-6 people so I guess that took priority. It was a terrible disappointment, but they did provide inconvenient times for my up do and I did cancel. The changes happened the beginning of October, so I had to scramble but in the end it came out fabulous. In addition, if you do not have a big group ( Bride, wedding party, mothers, aunts, etc) I would not refer this studio. read more

I was referred to Glam Me Up by one of my bridesmaid's cousins and am so thankful for the introduction. Kelly was an absolute pleasure to work with, from beginning to end. I don't typically wear a lot of makeup and she was able to create a simple look that didn't feel heavy or caked on. Although I was nervous to use black liner, she convinced me that it would stand out better in pictures and I am so happy that I trusted her judgement because my photos came out great. Betty, her hair stylist, was absolutely wonderful too. She did a great job listening to what the girls wanted, but also using her own creativity to take their ideas to the next level. I might be biased, but I thought all the girls looked stunning. Aside from having friendly and bubbly personalities, these women truly know what they're doing. Kelly and her team absolutely wonderful to work with - talented, professional, responsive, fun and easy-going! A few days prior to my wedding day my entire bridal party and I went to her studio and got amazingly glowing spray tans that were perfect for the my wedding day!
