I've dabbled in the makeup artist field before, but when it came time for my wedding, I was toying…read morewith the idea of outsourcing some of the selfcare/beauty routines in an attempt to alleviate some stress for myself and my bridal party. I stalked instagram for a while for makeup artists in AZ and came across Jazmins page and I was HOOKED. I followed her for a little while just to keep up with her bridal party looks to be sure that this was a commitment I was ready to make, and boy was my gut instinct right!! It was hard for me at first to take that "risk" and outsource something that I'm sure I could have done for myself, and coincidentally, even though I was in the industry myself for a short while, I've never had my full makeup done on myself before - so this was all new territory for me. So ... I held my tongue and didn't tell Jazmin (we can laugh about it now lol) at my trial about my time at MAC and freelance, only because I did NOT want her to feel any pressure (not that I have an ounce of HER talent whatsoever), but more that I wanted give her the space and let her do her thing and wave her brush like a magic wand around my face. She rocked it!! Her products, her technique, her customer service, everything was just an absolute treasure! I booked her officially for my wedding right then and there and opted for her to travel to the hotel to do my makeup and the bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and mother of the groom - my girls all jumped in on this luxury treatment when they saw my trial and saw her social pages with such excitement. My bridal party was also quite diverse: blonde hair, red hair, black hair; Caucasian, Hispanic, Asian, and Middle Eastern; girls in their 30's and mom's in their 60's - Jazmin and her assistant's artistry and care were INCREDIBLE!! Everyone was so impressed and beyond happy with their makeup looks; individualized for their features, and the longevity as well. THEN ... I committed the ultimate sin, on the day of the wedding, I changed my mind on what I wanted for my makeup - I'm an artist, it's hard to pick what I want for myself, since I have an appreciation for all things makeup lol - so, I told Jazmin, "just do what you want". I'm sure inside she had a heart attack, but on the outside she was as cool as a cucumber eye patch. We bonded over our MAC history, so when I dropped that bombshell on her, I just said "I'm a 35 lash girl, and I love me some warm soul ... you take it from there" .... AND SHE DID!!! I hope she's forgiven me by now lol. Not only did she help me to look like a bride, but because of her talent and her angel heart, I FELT like a bride. Booking Jazmin and having her at my hotel to do myself and my bridal party really did take off so much stress and make our morning so easy and so fun (we even had time to eat before the ceremony lol). I cannot recommend her enough - I've been able to send a few girls her way to also receive some star treatment and glam! Thank you Jazmin for everything!!
