Soon after the opposing attorney filed a counter motion and Serena acted like she was lose. She clearly didn't know how to handle being on offence. She did seem very comfortable being on defense. You see the pay is the same for her no matter and she doesn't have to do any work. Just reply to whatever came down the pipe. The months that followed proved this to be true. Her discovery was non existent. At several times I made complantes about this and she would reply "feel free to do it yourself". I told her I didn't have the power of sopena like she did. She lashed out in anger at me many times during the 9 months she was on the case. I would point out things Serena could do on the case from talking with other attorneys to give her ideals. Her reply would always be "i'll think about it". I thing she wanted justice for me but at the same time it was like she wanted to control the amout of justice. It was clear she was not doing the best work to her ability. You might think well why not find another attorney to take over the case. Well it's not as simple as that. You see your already in to her thousands of dollars not to mention all the time to bring her up to speed on the case. Serena lied to the judge in the last hearing she was on the case, so she needed an out and she found one. She used the contract to her advantage and asked for a unreasonable amount on money which I had but was not going to throw good money after bad. Serena is all the bad things you hear about bad lawyers buy find hard to believe. Well I can tell I lived it, it's all true. I could sign my name as ATM, because that's what you will be to Thorpe Compton & Christain. Nothing is free with them. you call them your on the clock, something needs faxed. Watch out all the people that had a hand on it will need to be paid. Plus the long distance for the fax. Really who charges for long distance any more. They are all about the money not about getting results for you. You might also want to check the character of the attorney working for you, I wish I had.
