His hair doesn't get washed or styled (he usually heads home to the shower anyways). He is covered in chopped hair when he leaves. What matters most to me is my teenage boy feels confident with himself.

I have to get this off my shoulders without being hit back for an honest review so I have to hide my real name. I've seen how Suzy responds to bad reviews, reads like AI, trite and fake. I assure you that I am a real person and a FORMER client of Glass Door Salon. Recent changes all for the worse. Suzy has gotten lazy over time and only takes on standard haricut and blowdry clients. Nothing wrong with not wanting anything different or drastic with your hairstyle at all. I always heard from her that she is so artistic and creative thinking outside the social norms. What happened? All the creative work goes to her stylists. Super cool they get that experience, problem is she takes all the credit. None of what I've seen on insta is Suzy's work. I found out the products they sell in the salon are harmful to people and the environment, redkin is profitable I'm sure for salons or they wouldn't sell it, right? I went to the Yuka app and noticed all this. I trusted Suzy's salon, but everything rated Bad or POOR. Now I can't buy it anymore. Head stylist Noah stinks of smoke and just wants to leave early. I don't get why someone head of a company acts that way. Vibes are nondiverse and so unsafe. I've heard a G*N is kept in the office at all times. read more

Glass Door Salon is THE BEST salon I have ever been to! Not only do I travel 45 minutes (one way), their stylists are top notch and they are always continuing their education to stay on top of the hottest trends. The vibe is fun and I always leave feeling satisfied. Suzanna (owner) is a sweet natured, large hearted, beautiful souled person through and through who will listen to your troubles and exciting news, give advice and even share her own experiences. I don't just feel like I visit my stylist when I come here and it's awesome that my head feels less like a transaction and I love the homey feel of this salon. I have so much confidence in Suzanna and her staff's abilities that I often sit down in the chair and say "I'm bored. Do what you want" and I always leave feeling fresh and excited. I've been coming to Glass Door since they opened, but Suzanna has done my hair for about 8 years now. Suzanna has been seeing me for the better part of a decade, and she is the only one I let cut my precious locks! I have long, wavy (sometimes curly) thick hair and she always makes me feel so beautiful when I leave her chair. She makes sure that the dreaded triangle hair shape doesn't happen (which can be common for us curly haired folks if the cut isn't right!) and I know that I am always in good hands. Many times I'll come in and just let her take the reigns for what she thinks is needed and what would make my hair look it's best. I saw the salon from the beginning of construction and I must say she and the other gals that work there have done such an amazing job transforming the place into a calm, beautiful and clean space. They don't just know the cuts and color, they also have amazing products for sale, and they really understand the product lines and their purposes. Chelsea has been doing my hair for a while now (I'd follow her anywhere!). She is now at Glass Door Salon, a beautiful, well-lit space with great energy. I went to see Chelsea this past Saturday to get something done with my hair for a special event I was attending. I didn't need an up-do ... just something more than my everyday. Chelsea gave me a head full of "deconstructed curls" that not only lasted the entire evening, but were still in full force the next morning. My hair is straight, straight, straight but she managed to do the impossible! Wow! These results were a combination of Chelsea's wizardry with a curling iron and the magic of the Surface product line that they use at Glass Door. They keep up to date with their education and you will be the sole focus if you choose to sit in one of their chairs. They talk with you, listen to you and you walk out feeling fantastic! I won't let anyone else touch my hair! I've been seeing Suzanna for the better part of 10 years now and she is simply the best! I usually come in with a very vague idea (or no idea at all) of what I want and she always comes up with a great and unique style for me. The salon itself is so relaxing. I love this salon! Everyone is very professional, polite and so accommodating! I love that the stylist are consistent in their training and education in trendy hairstyles, color, highlights and ideas.. If you are looking for a great experience with amazing results, than this is the place! I have very long blonde hair, that can be very difficult to do. The ladies at Glass Door Salon have gone out of their way to make sure that I have the style I want, and how to keep it looking fabulous. They are calm, and patient with their clientele, making sure that they get to know them. I have never felt rushed, or like I am not being paid attention to. I take my teenage daughters there also, and have watched Corrine patiently listen and calmly ask questions of my daughter to give her exactly the hairstyle she wants. Glass Door is simply the best. I see Emma, who is a magician with color and cut. What I love is that every stylist here spends ample time at the beginning of appointments to understand your wants/needs, look at your hair texture and skin tone, and plan a style that fits. Karina almost put me to sleep in the shampoo chair with the scalp massage. The new location is bright and beautiful with plenty of parking, and the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. Noah did my hair, and it is the best haircut I have had in years. He is charming and a master of his craft. I got a complicated "egdy" haircut with a buzzed undercut. I came in with damaged hair and came out loving the way I looked. I brought in a picture and he nailed it while also working with the natural shape of my hair. Everyone at this salon is incredibly friendly and helpful. They have tea, coffee, and a delightful atmosphere. Tired of bouncing from one stylist to another? Your search will surely end at the Glass Door Salon. These ladies will make you feel right at home, take time to listen to all of your questions/requests, and will prevent you from making a "hairtastrophe" decision if that shade you think will look "amazing" on you might actually look hideous on you. Suzy has been my hair stylist for several years now, even since I started asking all the other women in my church who had naturally curly hair where they were getting their amazing haircuts, and they all said, "Suzy!" She said her stylist showed up late, and never acknowledged or apologized for it, and that they also kept checking their phone during her appointment. (Update based on owner feedback: My daughter received a message before her appointment indicating that she needed to plan for parking issues due to the Farmer's Market taking place, and that she would be charged a late fee if she wasn't on time. So, stylists are aware they need to plan for parking too.) She also said that after finishing the cut (before blowdry), they turned her toward the mirror and then said "uh oh" (not very comforting) because one side was noticeably longer than the other. To even it up, they had to cut more than she had been wanting to in length. The final downside was that, even though she was booked for a "long hair" cut, which is more expensive than a standard cut, she was charged an additional and unexpected $20 for having thick hair. (Update: Yes, the stylist told her up front, but the point here being that it's not made clear when booking that there's a potential additional charge for thick hair on top of long hair. Just putting out awareness for other people.) The only saving grace is that she at least liked the haircut and final result. (Final update: My daughter disputes some of the owner feedback, but I wasn't there. My review was not intended to provide a sweeping generalization of the stylist or the salon - just my daughter's experience, which might be very isolated and rare. It's why I didn't name or in any way identify the stylist because maybe this was just a one-off situation.)

She first consulted with me on the type of color I'd like (making sure we are on the same page!) before patiently painting on each strand. Service was great, everyone was masked up at all times, and I came out with spankin' new do! There is promotions every month, so make sure you don't miss out on them. She washed, cut, and blow dried my hair in about an hour and a half. She allows for the cut hair to dry separately and packages it, so that all of the hair can be used in wig making. It was such an easy process and I love the haircut. I would recommend Reece to anyone and everyone considering donating their hair. She is flexible with her schedule and is a true master stylist.

They also take special care of your needs. Another good thing about this place is that the turnover of hairstylists is almost zero. I have been styled by most of them consistently for the past many years. Julie and Hien knows my hair well and they both do an amazing job. Other stylists are also excellent.

My first haircut was good but not exactly what I was looking for and the stylist was a bit too much for me, the second haircut was good but was not fond of the style and she was will now be out for a months. The third stylist was young but loved her cut, her attitude and her desire to make sure she delivered exactly what I wanted. I have found my new stylist in the area!
