I cannot review the quality of the work because we didn't end up hiring them. Why? Read below. I called because their website says their showroom is by appointment only. Because no one answered the phone, I left a message and after about an hour received a call back. The woman who called said she was there 8-4:30 Monday through Thursday. I said cool, see you this afternoon. Fast forward to afternoon. My wife and son came with me to look at glass shower doors which I indicated on the phone. When we walked in, the woman inside said "How can I help you?". I said we were looking for shower doors. The women then pointed to the three units on display and said "well there they are" and half pointed, half waved her hand toward them. So, we looked at them and while looking, this woman basically just stared at us with terrible look on her face. No smile, no questions, no nothing. Most unfriendly customer service I've had in a long time in a world where customer service has gone down the toilet. The Glass Nook is no exception to this. As we finished our 3 minutes of looking at their selection of shower glass, the women asked us "is there anything else you need?" To which we replied no, not really. My wife asked me if I liked anything and I said I did because the glass looked nice but I also said I did not want to do business with this place. I said this so it was clear to the woman working there that I was unimpressed with her attitude, the look on her face, and the overall experience. Go figure. Another crap customer service experience from another long established Tri Cities local business. My advice to this business? How about don't be an absolute grouch when a customer comes in to spend some money. This women made it look like we interrupted her TV dinner in the back or her doom scrolling session on her phone. After contemplating my visit to The Glass Nook yesterday and reflecting upon all my years in sales and customer service myself, I had to go in a different direction for the sidelight, dog door. I simply could not continue waiting. Since this order was placed on August 24th and after many calls from me to find out where the product is, I was not willing to go any further. This project has been delayed unnecessarily due to The Glass Nook's lack of attention to this matter and little communication at all. This project which is a complete remodel to create a suite for my 96-year-old Mother to move to my home. Our goal was to have completion prior to Thanksgiving and now we may not be completed before Christmas. We have been waiting on this side-light w/dog door to arrive so we can complete the removal of our current dog door that is in the suite my Mother will be occupying. This involves removal, re-construction of the wall, and replacement of siding, painting, etc. Now we are dealing with weather and rescheduling contractors while the holidays approach and time is less available. The delay of this project has not only inconvenienced us but also cost us added dollars we did not budget for. read more

It is now September of 2024. We started this project to create an all-season porch in August of 2023. Glass Nook had a good reputation for years until the parents retired and the son took over the business. We hung in there with our contractor and the original $6,000.00+ window order. No delivery, no communication, nothing. How they stay in business is a head scratcher to me. We waited months with plastic sheeting on our porch windows. Finally, we had to cancel the order, get our money back and go with Perfection Glass in Tri-Cities that did an incredible job for us. While driving from Siksika to Calgary, a golf ball-sized rock was head headward--thank you windshield, but now I had a rock chip. After seeing those darn commercials about how these chips can quickly turn in to full blow San Andreas cracks (it's happened to me), I decided to nip it in the bud and take my car in for a fixin'. Now what's the deal with "rock chip repair for free" business?? (I know you've seen the signs) Well, basically you go into glass place, and have their insurance pay. That's all fine and good, but this would be a new claim, and that would most likely cause in increase in your insurance rate & would be on your record.....so, be careful! I went in and made sure to say I was paying out of pocket. 15 min later, they were done and I was all ready to pay the $46 for the repair. Instead it cost only $21! There mighta been some shenanigans, but whatever. I didn't give them my insurance info, so all is good. As for the repair, it isn't like TV---the chip doesn't magically disappear because of their magical resin. It was a little less visible, but it was still there. Oh well. Let's hope it holds up & I don't get any more rocks on me ole windshield! read more

We ordered several windows last June. With manufacturer delays, they didn't arrive until sometime in the fall. One window was ordered at the wrong size, so we had another multi-month wait. Finally, all were installed, but the trim pieces were broken and left on the ground (looked horrible). The needed fix, I'm sure, was a simple repair/install, but it took a few more months, multiple calls (most unreturned), multiple no-shows when the installers were supposed to show. It's hard to imagine anyone can do business like this. We have bigger projects coming up, but Glass Nook won't be on our list. read more

When it was delivered for installation it was a hot mess, looked like a child or someone who had too much to drink had finished. Refused delivery and got my money back. Horrific experience. GLASS NOOK located in Richland Wash.....not California.....this would have received a ZERO star rating but did not allow me to post unless i gave a very reluctant one star......Went to have estimate on full house replacement of windows and slider door in late January..price check as you do with work like this....i believe the owner Cody..(the only name i saw on estimate as representative) came out for est.....wrote the est...told 12 to 16 weeks to get product made and delivered....understandable due to the issues in shipping now a days....once product was in ..would set date for install....front counter ladies extremely helpful in getting the questions they could answer..answered....anything referred to Cody never got returned to me....decided to go with the order....they asked for 75% down for product order $6500...i returned and paid CASH....the understood waiting game began.....fast forward to contacting at the 12 to 14 week interval....checking on tracking of product estimated time for arrival....again reception up front excellent....NO CALL BACK....ride the wave a little longer....call back later..FINALLY get answer...product should be in first of June....penciled in date of install for June 23 in case any issues on delivery.....check back about a week after 1st....ETA no call back no answer....one week before install....call to verify appointment to install...the young lady said yes still a go on install...I ASSUMED and never asked if product was in....date of install scheduled for arrival 9 to 11 am on 23rd.....9:30 passes....call to check if on the road ....again front office very helpful in trying to track down delivery...directed to Cody...i asked are drivers on the way....answer.." I've been so busy to try and get back to you...they didn't come in...."the Installers" no THE PRODUCT" ...after the shock... i informed him i will be over to pick the deposit ok.....only answer "OK".... zero attempt at trying to keep my business... I've had a terrible experience with this company. Here is a list of all the problems I've had, the windows I ordered for my whole house were months and months late because they were sold to a contractor first so they had to reorder them. Then I was stood up on the installation date with no call no show twice. Then when they were finally installing the windows they had one guy that did not even seem like he knew what he was doing and gave terrible installation which made me have to call to have another guy come out to calk the outside since it was such a terrible job. That was two months ago and we have still never gotten our screens to the windows. I have made multiple calls with hearing "we will call you back" and have never gotten a call. I was told the screens would be here a month ago and nothing. I am shocked a company can operate as horrible as this and I am disgusted that I chose to go through them. Wanted to shop local so I gave these guys a call for an estimate on replacing what is essentially a walk in door on the side of my house. Not a main entrance just a simple metal sheathed door. Took forever to get an estimate... when I did, I almost choked. They wanted over $1900 to REPLACE a door. Should have checked Yelp first. Fortunately I didn't fall for the outrageous quote. We took a mirrored Medicine cabinet door in that we had broken to have it fixed. The sales associate was rude not accurate and belittling. They were not done with the project on time and acted as if it was our fault. The price also went up from the original estimate, which is also fine because somebody on the floor gave us the wrong information, but they acted like that could never happen and just continued to be rude. I would give them 1.5 stars if I could since they did complete the project satisfactorily, but it was overall an unpleasant experience. read more

The Glass Nook is not a reliable supplier and its customer service has deteriorated significantly since the business was sold. They made an error in my order back in June and I was told the window would be here by July 21, nearly a month later. This is July 22 and now they say it won't be here until August 4. When asked why they say that's what they were told by the factory. There was no attempt by the staff to hold the supplier accountable and no concern for the inconvenience this has created. I have a piece of playwood in my wall where a window should be and they don't seem to care. I repeatedly left voice mail messages which were never returned and once this order is filled it will be the last time they get any of my money. read more

Worst company ever. They took my deposit for a full window replacement job in mid August and the job wasn't finished until the beginning of November. They "lost" the measurements on 3 of my windows and had to come out to remeasure. Then, once the shipment FINALLY arrived, 2 of my windows weren't even ordered! At no time did anyone ever call me about scheduling time to install the windows or do any of the work. I had to hound these guys every week to get them to do anything! The Glass Nook delayed our new construction home by almost a month. They took a 50% deposit on 3/6 and said our windows would be delivered by 3/17. Received a phone call the morning of the 17th saying the windows didn't make the shipment. Then we were told the windows would be in on 3/31. We got a call that morning saying the same thing. Come to find out our windows hadn't even been ordered until 3/27 when we saw a confirmation sheet. For 2 weeks when we were checking on the status, we were being lied to. They knew the windows would never make it on the dates they told us. Finally the windows were installed on 4/16. The Glass Nook installers were great and did a wonderful job, but we were so frustrated with the entire process. Would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

This company doesn't seem very interested in doing business. I needed a window installed in my home. They quoted me a price over the phone of $145 for the window. After coming out and doing "official" measurements that price mysteriously increased to over $180. It took nearly a week just to get the quote, they won't give you a quote on the spot they'll e-mail you at some point in the future when they're bored and have nothing better to do. I was quoted that installing the window would be another $110. I responded to the e-mail asking if that included placing in trim, no response. Two days later I gave up waiting for a response and called them. I was promptly directed to the voicemail of the person who did the estimate, left a message, and never received a response. I understand it's summer and contractors are busy with more profitable jobs than just installing one window. But if your business has any ethics you would at least tell me that you can't do it, don't want to do it, or how about just a f**k off, at least then you're not leaving me hanging. read more

Very nice of them because I didn't even think to check(and sadly, I was a few years past the warranty). They informed me if the measurements were wrong they could not refund my money and for $20 they would come out and measure the screen and guarantee the fit. Seemed like the right thing to do so they came out, I paid them the $20 but never got a screen. Called multiple times even went buy their office and was told they will look into what happened and call me within an hour. That was a day and 1/2 ago. I cannot believe a company of this size would try to scam $20 but that is exactly what happened. DON'T USE THEM!!! read more

I called to get an estimate on several glass table tops. Seemed to take a long time to get an estimate after they measured. I had to call and ask if they were going to email it to me or not. When they finally did send it, I replied to the email and told them what I wanted to order. A week went by and I didn't get a response. So I called to find out what happened. This is where I should have moved on and found another company. I finally placed my order anyway and explained that I needed it by a certain reasonable date and that they would have had plenty of time had they responded when I first tried to place the order. They assured me there was still plenty of time. The day they were to deliver the glass, no one showed up. I called and was told the guy who cuts the glass never showed up to work that day. I had one day left to get glass. I can't believe they would cut the glass the same day as delivery when they had my order for weeks. I was told they'd do their best to have it done tomorrow. I stopped today to buy a replacement runner/rail for a patio sliding door; I took the broken piece for reference. The young woman who helped me took the piece to the shop to see if this store carries that particular item. After 7-10 minutes she returned with a similar piece, telling me that it's a slightly different color and also is "a little bit wider than your piece." What??? Rather than telling me they don't carry the exact replacement part, they try to sell me something similar! No sale there today! Be careful if you use this company for your work. Check specifications carefully and make sure they're exact. Windows and doors are forgiving and don't allow for much tolerance in size. read more

Heads up everyone! Now that I've dealt with Glass Nook, I believe every single negative review out here. I wouldn't have believed these reviews if I hadn't had such a horrible experience myself. Terrible experience!! If you proceed with "Nook", well at least you were warned. I should've listened to my wife when she said to review Yelp first! I think what ticked me off the most were the continual lies about when they would be completed. My 7-10 day window replacement job turned into 63 days. There were no less than 5-6 different crews showing up randomly as "Nook" kept losing workers. Then there was the incomplete work which allowed cold winter winds to blow through the unsealed windows. The crews never cleaned up, left broken glass on my floors and I had to tell them over and over again what we wanted done. Take heed folks - I'm writing this to relieve my conscience as I don't want anyone to go through what I did. Poor customer service, shoddy work, lies, 10X schedule delays, etc! Wish I could leave NO stars. I ordered three simple standard size windows with two of them being the same size in February 2017. They didn't get ordered until March 2017. After waiting four weeks I contacted Glass Nook and they said "they would have to see what happened to my order". Finally in April they installed the windows. Installer damaged the drywall with his tools, broke a window, damaged the exterior window trim, left shims sticking out and the windows needed two hands to open. He said he would have Glass Nook re-order the broken window. After three weeks no window so I contacted Cody (owner) and he said he would come out on Friday @ 11:00. At 11:30 I called to see if he was still coming and they said "he forgot and would leave now". When he finally arrived he had nothing to say and no apologize for being late. He only said his installed never told him about the broken window or any other damages. He measured the windows and said he'd re-order the glass. After several calls & emails over another 4 weeks I was finally able to get someone to send the installer back out with the new glass only to find out he brought the wrong one. That was in early June. Now we are approaching the end of July and I still have a broken window and no one from Glass Nook has returned my calls. Nearly 5 months to install three small standard size windows. WORSE customer service EVER! I have also asked a dozen times for them to quote me a slider door versus a repair. Cody still has not delivered that quote. Must be nice to be so successful you don't need to have customer service or be a man of your word. Perfection Glass may be slightly higher in price but if I knew Glass Nook was this horrible... I would have gladly paid double to get a REAL Glass company to install my windows. Needed the glass replaced in multiple windows at our home in Richland. On a Monday morning, Glass Nook came out for an assessment to provide a bid. Had not heard back by Wednesday, so I called to inquire. Was told they were getting prices from glass provider and would get back to me shortly. Called Thursday afternoon, and she told me they'd get it to me by end of day. Didn't receive anything so I called Friday and said I needed it by lunch to make a decision. Was told "not sure what the hold up is; I'll send it to you within a few minutes." Never received anything. It's now Tuesday of the following week...nothing. I've moved on and ordered from another company. Unfortunately, since I had a time restriction, and was counting on Glass Nook, I was not able to get a competing bid--just went with a competitor and hoped that price was a reasonable one. Customer NO service is best to explain how they were. My wife worked with them and they for sure took advantage of her. They took all the money upfront and didn't communicate timing. We had to call several times to get information. They didn't give any options. Installation was unique. They called my wife at work to say they were going over that day. What about preset time?? Arrange the install maybe. Not just show up! Doors had the wrong handles. We had to call to get them to replace. Doors were installed terribly. The installer told my wife he wasn't going to fix any of the problems she pointed out to him. Then I came in the room and asked him to fix the same things and of course they are going to fix those things. Then I left and he told her he wasn't going to fix the second door and left!!! I recently purchased a small piece (approx 18' x 10') gold (plexi-glass) that had been tossed in the recycle bin. I asked them to make two cut's the length of this 18" piece of plexi-glass. It was $15.75...after I got that piece home I took a magnifier to look for the gold but no gold was visible!! From the moment I walked in the door of they're friendly shop I knew I had made the right decision. I was building a new house that can be scary when you're spending so much money but every part of this process was seamless. My new home has mirrors gorgeous walk in seamless showers new inside and outside doors and windows that have fancy options to let fresh air in through little vents. I was able to get everything from my door locks and my handles to all of my trim work and everything looks beautiful. Had a big riunione to show everybody the house and they asked me for business cards. Wish I would have gotten some butt couldn't tell you enough good things about this business and the people who run it. It's obvious that they care and that's the reason they've been around so long. Glass Nook bid on a custom home as a sub-contractor/supplier to our chosen home builder. Here is what went wrong, seriously wrong: The bid documents specified Milgard casement windows with very specific dimensions. Glass Nook, after the contract to build the home was signed, notified us that they could not provide the windows in the configuration we specified. They then submitted sketches of the different windows that we agreed to accept, and when the windows were later delivered for installation, they did not match the drawings. We had to make changes to the front elevation of our custom home to accommodate these windows. When the home was ready for final inspection for occupancy it failed. Guess why? The bedroom windows did not meet egress size requirements. Glass Nook said they normally specify Ply Gem windows, not Milgard, but when pressed to ask if a Ply Gem window of the same dimensions would meet the egress requirements, they admitted that it would not. When we went for semi-final walk through with our builder we found out there is another problem with the windows at the master bath: the window that was installed does not have tempered glass as is required. So we have a $600,000+ custom home that will require three major windows be removed and replaced before we can occupy our brand new home. I am not only dissatisfied, I am quite angry.
