3-stars for the product/s used, 5 for the facility and people. This shellac sh*t sucks! This is the…read more2nd manicure that's used shellac, in-turn with the 1st shellac manicure tying as the worst I've ever had! (Late to the manicure party - particularly the gel-kind - I've still had several dozen manicures over the years. There've been issues here and there, but nothing like the outcome from the use of this shellac sh*t.) Should I get another manicure in this area I will be specific in seeking a place that does NOT use the product. My nails were done on a Wednesday afternoon (and they were super-cute!) By Saturday afternoon I was back in getting my chipped index finger fixed. Sunday my other index finger chipped. In less than a weeks time I had chips in 4 nails (not including the index fingers). One week and one day in the polish lifted and peeled on both middle fingers. (The silver lining, I suppose: I wasn't flipping you off! I was showing you my defective manicure...) I'm guessing I COULD have gone back for the other index finger to be fixed, but not having had this as my experience (with the exception of the prior months shellac sh*t manicure) I was sensitive to calling back. No reflection on the facility or the people. The facility is clean, bright, and cheery with ample parking. The people are friendly, attentive, and fun/funny. Their prices are in-line with other salons. The problem is the only option they have for manicures is with the shellac sh*t. Thus, short of their coming up with other gel offerings, I won't get another manicure with them... :( Did I mention shellac gel S*CKS?! K. It does. End of story.

First time visiting this nail place because my usual one was booked!…read more This place accepts both appointments and walk-ins, which is convenient but it seems as though the management does not know how to manage their appointment times. I truly enjoy getting my nails done and even if it's not the best place (reviews, environment, etc.), I typically enjoy my experience. Here, however, I did not. The ONLY reason I did not give 1 star is because the three workers in there were nice. I had made an appointment a few days in advance for an acrylic fill. I went for my appointment at 1PM, and they acted as though I had never called, they didn't know my appointment, what I wanted, etc. I think they realized I did call because they spoke to each other and were able to honor my appointment. However, I did not even get seated until 20 minutes after my initial appointment time. With everything going on, I knew I would have to be understanding and I had no problem doing so! It was seemingly unorganized and chaotic. Now, to my nails. I wanted a pretty neutral so that I'd be able to wear them with anything. I got the color DD05 "Crepe." Going extremely fast, I had round shaped nails before and let's just say I barely have any nails that match at this point. I have photos for reference, they seemed to rush through all of the drying processes so that they could get someone else in my seat. It looks like a watery, marbled paint and I assure you this is not what I would have chosen! Not to mention the walk-in part, there were about 4 customers asking to get their nails done while I was getting mine done. They said yes to every person, and told all of them to come back in 20 minutes. Maybe I am wrong, but I'm unsure of how they made that work. Overall, I will not be back and absolutely do not recommend. While I think the employees were nice, I believe that focusing more time on their clients already in the chair would make for a better experience. I do not plan to return and I wish I had never gotten my nails done here.

The process itself was very uncomfortable; the technician applied significant pressure to my eyes and left a bright light on unnecessarily. Unlike other local spots at lower price points, there was zero effort toward client comfort (no neck or hand massage during the setting time). To top it off, they auto-add a 20% gratuity and will question you in front of other customers if you try to adjust it. This feels like a business charging for its "prime location" rather than the quality of its work. Save your money and find a local professional who can actually deliver a lift.

There is also a free parking lot right next to the spa entrance. When you walk into the spa there is a small area for gifts and things for purchase. Lululemon quarter zip sweatshirts, sweatpants, some fine jewelry, body sprays, etc. You check in at the spa desk from there and they hang your coat for you. From there you wait in a separate waiting area which offers complimentary granola, water and tea. You do not wait very long. When it is time for your service, a spa worker will bring you to your designated area based on what service you are there for. I have visited the spa twice this year for pedicures and both times have been wonderful experiences. The pedicure area is very clean and sanitary. I had Delores both times I visited and she was so great. Very gentle, informative and detailed oriented. The spa at the resort has been exceptional with their services and their kindness and I will definitely continue to visit when I am in the area!
