Dr. Bressman is a skilled oral surgeon and his staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Although I had originally been very nervous about the surgery, Dr. Bressman made the entire experience very smooth. I was put under IV sedation and had all 4 teeth removed. The whole process took under an hour during which I was completely knocked out. The staff was really nice and informative during the entire process. I experienced no problems afterwards, followed all directions, and was completely back to normal in a week. The bleeding completely stopped about 12 hours after the surgery, some minor swelling on one side completely went away in three days. It is very important to use ice packs, rinse carefully, and drink plenty of water in the week following the extraction. I did not experience discomfort eating food since mostly it was soup, mashed potatoes, apple sauce, oatmeal, bread, anything soft. In 3-4 days I was back to normal food except popcorn or nuts. I did not use painkillers just Advil first night since I felt absolutely fine. No pain, no accidents, Dr. Bressman and his team are the best. PS. I had my wisdom teeth out at 26. All four, two impacted, one sitting. The staff was polite, knowledgeable, and handled my insurance for me. As for the procedure itself, it went smoothly and my recovery went smoothly as well! I don't know the going rate for an extraction but without insurance it would of been over $2,000. I had a consultation visit to Dr. Bressman about a 2nd molar tooth implantation recently. My previous oral surgeon would charge close to $5K to do that. After carefully examination, Dr. Bressman very frankly recommended me not to do the implantation due to high cost and low benefit. He said he's willing to "loss this business" to save me the pain and money for low value-added procedure. I was so glad that he provided me such a candid opinion, which not many doctors would do! I screwed up my post procedure survey, but I really feel it is necessary that everybody know how great the Glenbrook Oral team is, so here I am! I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed and a frenulectomy performed today. My mother did a lot of research to find the best of the best to get this procedure done, and found Glenbrook Oral. I knew from first impressions at my consult that Dr. Bressman and his staff would be brilliant, and were the right people. He and his staff are caring, friendly, and comforting. At the time of the procedure, to me, it seemed like one moment I was talking about college plans, the next, I had woken up from the surgery. The soreness afterward (It has been about 9 hours since the surgery as of this writing) has been minimal with the use of Advil and ice, and I received very clear instruction on what to do post treatment and what to expect. Dr. Bressman was fantastic! I got all 4 wisdom teeth out in one day, and did it while awake (local anesthesia only) . I first decided to go for a consultation after I had already forked over 90 bucks a consultation at another office. The other office gave me the creeps so I transferred my x-rays to Bressman's office. He spent enough time with me during the consultation, made me feel at ease, and scheduled the appointment for the extraction the following week. He also gave me the prescription for painkillers and antibiotics before the procedure so I could have them ready when I got home. The extraction went extremely well. He got all 4 teeth out in less than 40 minutes and explained to me what he was doing during the procedure. After it was over, they went over post-care, which they have perfected into a science. I was only in mild pain for a few days after and was fully functioning after only about 4 days! They did require 30% upfront if the total cost was under $1500 or something like that, and the total cost for my procedure was $1200. I recently had two of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Bressman, who I found through my HMO network, and was overall very impressed with the professional and friendly attitudes of Dr. Bressman himself and all the other staff. I felt that I was well-prepared and well-cared for before, during, as well as after my surgery. I had my other two wisdom teeth removed by other dentists, and I hadn't even known how the little things would make a difference until I experienced them with Dr. Bressman's office. Such as: I was given the prescriptions for painkiller and antibacterial medication during my initial consultation, so I could fill the prescriptions before the actual day of the surgery. I was prepped even on what to wear (a short-sleeved t-shirt so they could have access to my veins since I was being sedated) on the day of the surgery. I was provided detailed instructions on how to take care of the wound, complete with a plastic syringe device to flush out the wound. I was scheduled for an after-care appointment a week later to check for any infections or complications. I had been provided with none of these things with my previous extractions -- those dentists had done the job, certainly, but this experience definitely showed me how a dentist can go above and beyond with patient care. I almost wish I had more wisdom teeth to remove so I could come back here! ;) read more

Very rude staff members. I received a nasty invoice threatening me they will report me to the credit union for $18. When I first called their office I was speaking to a rude woman and when I asked to speak to someone who is nicer and has more patience, that's when she changed her attitude. They are charging me and I can't see the claim on BC/BS. I keep waiting for the claim so I can pay them, but I'm getting bullied by them to pay up or else they'll "report" me AND they used an exclamation mark to make their point. SO RUDE!! read more

i had very bad experience from this office. The staff in the front desk are very rude. They are very impatient to answer the questions and so mean to the patients. They ask you to put 30% percent down before the surgery, and explanation was:" for people who has financial concerns like you, we need to take it although you have your insurance." How can the staff judge others' financial ability just because the patient asked their payment procedures? it is shame to hire the staff, the dentist may lose customers because staff's bad attitude. read more

After postponing for decades having my wisdom teeth out (50's) I finally had a consultation with Dr Bressman. After the consultation I made an appt for the next business day (Monday). It went so much better then I had feared. (Unlike another reviewer I opted not to be awake.) Dr Bressman's did an incredible job. I had no pain. I took the Advil as prescribed to prevent swelling (had stronger meds but didn't need them). I was taken in to take X-rays and right after into the dental chair, Dr bressman gave me his expert opinion on which teeth to take out, all I remember is him talking to me while putting the anasteshia in the IV and badabingbadaboom 3 teeth out and I'm being walked to the recovery room. Dr. Bressman removed 4-impacted wisdom teeth from my 20-year-old daughter today. From start to finish it was a very professional medical experience. The front office staff greeted us and quickly completed the paper work. The procedure started on time (no waiting). Dr. Bressman removed the impacted teeth. Every thing with the oral surgery went smoothly and in less than 45 minutes my daughter was in the recovery room. I waited with my daughter in the recovery room while the nurse thoroughly reviewed the home care steps for the next 7 days. All the post surgery steps were outlined in writing, but in addition the instructions were clearly explained to us as well. After 20 minutes of resting and icing, Dr. Bressman met with my daughter and I and further reviewed the home care steps. THIS IS A VERY WELL RUN OFFICE. If you go to Dr. Bressman for your oral care needs, I guarantee you will get the state of the art medical care in a very professional and friendly environment. I recommend Dr. Bressman to everyone. I have 3 children and all 3 had their wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Bressman. Simply said Dr. Bressman is the only oral surgeon I would use. Dr. Bressman's office is about a 25-minute car ride from my home, and there are other oral surgeons in closer proximity to my house, but it is worth the extra time to go to the most professional oral surgeon on the north shore. read more
