I've been a patient at New Age Dental for years, and I truly believe it's important to visit the dentist, even if it's not the most enjoyable experience. That's why I highly recommend New Age Dental. From Dr. Koko to everyone else, I've received the best care imaginable. To illustrate their kindness and flexibility, yesterday, while I was comfortably waiting in the waiting room, an elderly woman in a wheelchair was brought in by someone I assume was her son. According to the front desk, she had called twice earlier that day to cancel her appointment. It turns out she had some dementia, which is so unfortunate. New Age Dental had filled her spot, which she had canceled twice, with another patient. Even so, they still scheduled her for care that day. I'm sure this meant someone had to stay later than planned, but that's a small price to pay for such excellent service. My hygienist, Tori, is the one I almost always see to work on my mouth (we didn't have fluoridated water where I grew up; my parents and the town thought fluoride was a communist plot, which, combined with having soft teeth, means I have a lot of metal in my mouth, not to mention plenty of crowns). Tori is such a wonderful, personable, and skilled technician that I no longer need to take Diazepam before going to the dentist. She always considers any of my concerns, and with a mouth like mine, there's always something! I should also mention that the entire office is equipped with the latest dental technology, whether it's for x-rays, teeth cleaning, or anything else. The office is clean and well-maintained. Dr. Koko, whether he's checking on my mouth or replacing a worn-out crown, is always friendly and inquisitive, and more importantly, a skilled dentist. I've never been in pain, so I don't need to take Diazepam anymore. I heartily recommend New Age Dental in Morton Grove to anyone looking for a dentist. read more

Our dentist recently moved into this group, and right now I'm not happy about it. When my wife broke a tooth we went there to see if he thought it needed immediate attention. We were met by a sweet, kind, pleasant, useless young lady who informed us they are booked through September, but she could put our name on an emergency list and call if an appointment opened up. We would like to keep our current dentist, but I'm not sure that will happen. I'd better stop writing, of the vocabulary may change. I have been a patient since 2021, mostly cleanings. Needed a crown on a tooth that split it half. Had the work done last July. The tooth never stopped hurting. Returned for a follow-up visit. Received no relief or specific diagnosis as to what the problem actually is. Went for a second opinion elsewhere. The crown was faulty, having been placed with an open margin. Needed a root canal and a new crown. Save yourself some time and money. Go elsewhere. read more

One of the only things I'm terrified of is going to the dentist. I don't why, but I'd rather face strangers in hand-to-hand combat than go to the dentist. The last dentist I had I went to for a decade, and I considered traveling back to AZ to see them. However, I started seeing Dr. Koko and team in 2018 (the dental hygienist here is also very awesome, but unfortunately, I do not remember her name). I go for cleanings and just recently had a crown replaced here. They're very communicative and always check-in during procedures to make sure I'm ok. They explain everything they're doing. If you're scared of going to the dentist during COVID times, rest assured they are all in multiple layers of PPE, ask patients to wash hands and rinse before examinations, the rooms are covered and separated with plastic barriers, and they have extra air filtering procedures in place. read more

Dental hygienist using water pik which is messy to begin with dripped water on my arms and shot water up my nose. Then waited awhile for dentist to examine me. Then was told he was too busy and that it was ok that I didn't need to be examined anyway? This is after I was told to come an hour earlier than scheduled. Why was I told to come early if the dentist wasn't available to see me in the first place? This would have been my first appointment with this dentist too. Not a good impression. read more

Although, the office was closed except for emergencies they got me in quickly, diagnosed my tooth and implemented a treatment plan swiftly. Their kindness and professionalism are unmatched. After recently relocating to Chicago I was in need of some urgent dental care that will require some more serious work over the next few months (or as much as I can afford it LOL). I chose the dentist that was closest to me, and I was not disappointed. Dr. Koko and his staff saw me right away, and he gave it to me straight. Told me everything that needed to be done, and what I will have to expect when it comes to expenses. He is very kind and straightforward, explained the procedures to me very detailed & was ready to take-in and answer all of the questions I had...and I had plenty. I appreciate his staff for doing everything they can to work with my insurance. In fact, they have been better at figuring out what to do, and how to help me than any other dentist I went to in the past. The most recent procedure I had done involved two crowns. The entire time before and during the procedure Dr. Koko and his assistants where very aware of my well-being, checking on me multiple times to see if I was ok, or experienced any pain. In Dr. Koko's own words: "Tell us what you need, we want to make sure you are comfortable". Again, as long as I will be living in the Chicago area, New Age Dental will be my dentist of choice, thank you Dr. Koko. read more

I went to them because I hadn't been to the dentist in an embarrassingly long time, and was obviously nervous. They explained things well and I felt like my teeth were taken care of. That's not the reason for the two star review (and the reason I won't be coming back). I got "planing" treatments (I think that's what they are called) and the doctor assured me that they would be covered by my insurance. I even double checked with the receptionist/billing person in the office. They looked through my insurance policies and agreed that these ~$800 treatments would be mostly covered. Lo and behold, I get a bill in the mail for the full amount because my insurance denied to cover. I call them and ask why it was denied, what happened, etc. and I got some vague answer of it not being covered, and they recommended a payment plan. At this point I'm holding back tears on the phone, and hang up extremely upset (I'm still young, just got a salaried position and moved out of my parents- I truly have no extra money to my name). I decide to call my insurance company to find the reason. The insurance company told me that the dentist did not submit what was requested of them so they could not cover my treatments. This begins the phone tag. I call the office back and told them what my insurance company said, and they looked into it and said "oh no we submitted the X-rays, on this date, blah blah blah" I wrote it all down, and contacted my insurance company again. I told the insurance company this information, and the insurance said "yes, but their X-rays are of such low quality, we were unable to see the need for the treatments. We requested a narrative from the doctor so many weeks ago and we never received it, so we had to deny the coverage". Now I call the office back, and tell them that the doctor needs to send a narrative as was requested of him. The woman on the phone takes the note and tells me she will have the doctor do that. What do you know, my insurance DID end up covering it. I find it absolutely absurd the amount of work and digging I had to do to find out the doctor didn't submit the extra credit homework to be sure his patient didn't have to pay out of pocket for these treatments. I never felt so uncared for by a medical professional or office before. Not to mention the tears, stress and HOURS of phone tag to find this all out. While I feel like the actual dental treatment is fine, I just can't go through the stress and possibility of messing with my insurance again. I'd prefer to go to someone I can trust to be on my side. read more

One of the worst. Unethical staff. Phone goes on voicemail most of the time and never call back, and try to rip you off on missed appointments. Ready to fight with you through debt collection agencies, instead of negotiating with you or rescheduling the appointments, they will give you more headaches and will send your case to debt collectors. read more

Dr. Koko is after money and does not care about his patients. I was a new patient and came in for a routine cleaning and check up. I was shocked to find out that Dr. Koko saw 16 cavities!! Ive never had problems with my teeth as a child!! But, I haven't been to a dentist in 6 years, so I thought it was possible. A friend of the family who is a dentist told me to come in to his office for a second opinion. My family friend only found 2 cavities that were forming and don't need treatment right away! I was I shock that a dentist could be so deceitful! Needless to say I will find another dentist and do not recommend this quack of a doctor. read more

New Age Dental reached out to me to clarify the situation. Turns out the doctor that was in network is no longer there so I only had "adjusted fees" for particular procedures and not all procedures from their explanation. In any case, they eventually were willing to provide my new dental office with all my scans and images of work done previously. They were kind throughout the process and offered services to keep me as a customer which I appreciate. Overall, they remained an excellent place for dental work but just like anywhere else don't hesitate to ask billing questions. read more

Billing wrong amount. After calling insurance they too over 200 dollars from my card. Today verified with insurance suppose to pay 1093.50 instead of that they already took 1200. Good thing I called insurance and verified otherwise qont even know they are overcharging. read more

Unethical. Disrespectful. Incompetent. At my first visit, a routine cleaning, they told me my teeth were beautiful and to keep up the good work. When I went back 6 months later for another routine cleaning, I suddenly had 5 cavities! (I have never had cavities before.) Because my sister had a similar experience here, I started asking questions about potential causes and generally how long cavities take to form. The dentist was unable to answer my questions. He laughed at me and told me that they don't really cover that in dental school. (I find that hard to believe.) I chose not to get my teeth drilled... 6 months later I went to a different dentist - and guess what - no cavities! read more

Not sure if the previous reviews are for a different staff because everyone that I saw was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I didn't get any "attitude" or rudeness. Last time I visited, 3 years ago, everyone was still friendly and helpful. I did notice some faces from back then that were still here. I went in for a cleaning after those 3 years without seeing a dentist. Naturally I had one new cavity and an old one (15+yrs) that needed refilling. I had multiple appointments and everyone was very friendly and courteous each time. The price seems fair to me but I have insurance and didn't have much work done. Dr. Koko, Dr. Yasmin (I know, first name), and one other Dr. that worked on my mouth all answered my questions in a very thorough manner. I had e-mailed current x-rays and complete dental information to the office two weeks prior. Get to the appointment and no one had reviewed the information and the office staff was incompetent and rude. I became a new client at this practive in september 2012. I had a few cavities that needed to be filled. I was shocked as to how expenisve this practice was. After my exam, I made a appointment to get my cavities filled and paid my out of pocket expense in full. After my first filling, I had pain and discomfort for 2 weeks. I went to get a second opinion and the DDS told me to go back to the original DDS who did the filling for correction. I was hesitant to go back since I have never experienced discomfort like this after a filling. I missed two appointments in which the office DID NOT charge me a "no show fee" of $50 per every half hour. I called to reschedule my third appointment as a I had a family matter to tend to. I was very upset to find that NOW all of a sudden they will be charging me $100 to cancel my appointment with a dentist who screwed up my filling in the first place. They said since I already paid for my services upfront, they would deduct the $100 from my account. OBSURD! The office manager stated it was a curtisy waiving the first two and really didnt want to hear what else I had to say. I am un employed and cant offord to pay $100 for a visit I cant make. If you implent a "NO SHOW" policy I believe it should be implemented on the first NO SHOW appointment as oppossed to the third. I dont like the fact that they have limited availability because they have so many dentists working there on certain days. Lost me as a client and will NEVER refer anyone to New age Dental. read more

The dental staff and receptionists are very friendly and helpful and you never leave in a bad mood. The service is state of the art and the practice is small enough where you feel like you're family. I had to go through extensive work after another dentist messed up big time, and all I have to say is you won't be sorry. I have had a terrible experience with this office. My daughters had appointments and they were not friendly, not professional, and not very child friendly. But to make matters even worse, THERE WAS NO DENTIST IN THE OFFICE!!!!! After the hygienist looked at my daughters teeth, she said she thought she might have a cavity. I assumed that the dentist would be right in but was promptly told that the dentists had taken the day off and I would need to schedule another appointment. They said that they did cleanings only and that you could only see the dentist if the hygienist saw a problem. Needless to say, I won't be going back to this office EVER again...and I hope that others won't be subjected to this either. read more

This is the dental office I will NEVER recommend to my friends. my experience there was costly horrible! Here is my story: I went to their office for the regular dental cleaning. however, when they did the initial exam and evaluation, they found 3 tiny cavities on my teeth and they recommend me to do the filling in. I never had the pain with those cavities in the past. but I feel it makes sense to fix ti at early stage. I accepted their suggestion and made the appointments for the filling in. A young age doctor did the filling in for me. During the procedure, I could not feel any sensitivity due to the numbness. However, after I went back home and a few hours later, I felt very strong pain and sensitivity whenever I bite on that tooth. the pain feels like electric shock when biting on it... I could not chew at my left side of the teeth at all. I called their office the next day, the nurse told me it is totally normal and let me come in later to do the adjustment. Unfortunately, it still did not work out well after the adjustment. Then I called again and went to the office for adjustment back and forth 5 times, I am so frustrated and pissed off, but I still trusted they are able to fix it for me (shamed on myself to trust these PROFESSIONAL doctors). After about 1.5 months back and forth adjustments, I felt my tooth became weaker and weaker and pain was worse and worse. At the end, the last time I talked with the doctor, he told me - the spot having issue is not the spot he did the filling in. he is just helping me to do the treatment. (What?!, after so many times adjustments and wore off the protecting surface on the tooth, no matter how strong the tooth is, everyone knows that it will turn to be sensitive and painful. And now he wants to excuse for his unprofessional treatment). The worst part is he even tried to sell me more their service. He told me - if I want to keep the pain away permanently, I have to do the crown to cover that tooth. (Damn, why don't you tell me I need the crown at the very beginning if it is really my tooth issue, not due to your filling in and adjustments? I have spent over $2500 bills to fix this stupid cavity issue... Now he wanted to squeeze me more. Who the hell will know what further problem he will cause to my tooth if he does the crown for me). I am totally disappointed with their doctors and their "Professional" ethics. I gave up and paid all my bills in their office and bought out all my medical record from their hands. When I walked out of their office, I felt the air much fresher around me though I still have the pain with my tooth. but I know I will find a good doctor to fix it for me. Anyway, this is my painful experience to share with everyone who is looking for a dentist. Research the doctor's reputation and working experience before you go there. Good luck!!! read more

I'm so annoyed that I'm forced to give this horrific practice a star, they deserve zero!! New Age Dental is the worst dentist practice I've ever been to! The staff at the front desk is extremely aloof and make you feel uncomfortable to ask any questions that require them to do any work. For example, I was in extreme pain after a root canal that was performed by . Dr. Krikor (Koko) Papazian which prompted me to call the office for reassurance,but when I called the office, I did not get reassurance, support, or even a call back ...so I had to take matters into my own hands and call the office numerous time, just to get a rude, irritated response from the front desk woman named Mirella, that "its normal to be in that much pain, it will go away in a couple of days". The front desk response and regard towards my questions made me feel like I was annoyance for having concerns and concerns about my own teeth!! Please keep in mind that this response was always the response I got from the front desk any time I had questions or concerns. Dr. Krikor was also interesting to deal with in terms of his professionalism.Anytime I asked him questions about a dental procedure he did or was going to do, he got defensive and cold, which in turn made me feel uncomfortable. As a patient, I feel like I have the right to ask any questions regarding my well-being. After a while I got fed up with the lack of interest from Dr. Krikor (Koko) Papazian and his front desk staff and decided to leave his practice! Even after I left the practice the rudeness continued. I say this because I had to take care of one last bill, and when I called the office to take care of the bill, the woman that answered the phone was full of attitude. Anytime I asked her a question about the current address the had for my file, the amount I had to pay, the responses I received were antagonistic and rude!! Leaving his practice was probably the best thing I ever did for myself and my teeth! I am currently with Sparrow Dental, which is by far the BEST dentist practice I've ever been to. They are very honest, professional, and kind. BE AWARE of NEW AGE DENTAL, they don't care about theirs patients or their well being , the only thing NEW AGE DENTAL cares about is MONEY. read more
