My sister went to this terrible Doctor for over a year. With no resolution or investigation to the issue she has been experiencing, just shot after shot after shot, while paying cash for each injection, that was apparently not covered by insurance. In attending one of the visits myself, Dr. King insisted she had no idea what was wrong and said there are multitude of things that could be happening. None of which apparently warranted a thorough check by her. FINALLY, my sister went to another podiatrist for a second opinion and following a simple MRI, low and behold, she had a torn tendon that Dr. King missed entirely, because she never bothered to investigate. Comparing the care I received from Glenda King with another podiatrist I can definitely say: stay away from her! I went to see her for foot pain, she gave me injections that did not help, and asked me to come back every 2 or 3 weeks, each consultation lasted for 5 to 10 minutes at the most and she was barely polite. After 3 months I realized that my foot was getting worse, that she was overcharging my insurance, kept asking me to come back and wanted to give me more injections. I stopped going. I consulted with a different podiatrist who gave me much more attention and time, performed xrays of my feet, explained in details what the situation was and suggested approaches that relieved me of pain. I had a consultation with Dr. King today (March 17) that as informative, helpful and professional in every way. I had some hesitation about making the original appointment because of the many negative reviews I had read. These were not about the doctor but rather referred to the rudeness of her staff. I experienced that rudeness first hand when I signed in. The woman at the desk did not recognize Medical Mutual (MM), my insurance provider. She questioned it aggressively. It took her some time for her to decide that she would accept my card. I have had MM, a major national provider, for years and used it all over Santa Fe without question. This woman was simply ill-trained. After my appointment, I stopped at the desk for checkout formalities. The same woman informed me that there was no copay but, since I had not met my $500 deductible with MM, I owed $125 for the visit. It simply does not work that way. Providers send their bill to MM and MM sorts such things out. MM issues me a bill after all insurance payments have been applied including those from Medicare. MM is a PPO. The woman refused to listen to my well-informed explanation. She became confrontational. I walked out. It is unfortunate that the quality of service in the examination room is not matched at the front desk. As followup to the previous review, I want to add that I just received at statement from Medicare saying that I HAVE met my deductible for 2021. It was dated March 16, the day before my appointment with Dr. King. I am not sure where the person at the desk got information to the contrary or why she was so insistent that I pay a fee that I did not owe. Just a note. When you are in pain and need a doctor that specializes in the foot, go see Dr. King. I went in with so much pain that I was ready to cut it off, but Dr. King reassured me that we could manage the condition until it needed further treatment, including surgery if indicated. Her direct, no nonsense approach and manner was just what I need in a professional. Dr. King allowed time to listen and helped me understand what was causing the extreme pain and swelling which was totally different from my "internet" self diagnosis. I was lucky that her front desk staff got me in so quickly and followed up with my records when needed. I like a small efficient office where they remember you and make you feel welcome. I won't have to worry about my future feet problems as Dr. King's patient, she'll take care of me, and you too. read more

I have an obvious problem with my hammer toes. This podiatrist did not give any advice or treatment resolutions. I also was looking to have my callouses removed, but that would be a separate charge. I was so frustrated when I left the office- I cannot recommend this doctor. read more

I feel both the doctor and the front office coud be better. The doctor was somewhat mean-spirited, I thought and cold. The person at the front desk promised to call about my insurance but never did though asked a few times, as the other reviewer said. She said I could call, but I asked how I would know which codes the doctor used? I would have gone back to the doc to give her another chance since she may have been good technically, but the front person killed the idea, for now, anyway. read more

Dr. King is a highly competent, thorough and kind doctor. She asked questions, listened to my comments, examined my foot, and gave me treatment options. Most importantly, she guided me through the pain of a cortisone injection in my foot so that the pain was manageable. read more

Dr. King is a no-nonsense, extremely experienced podiatrist that I recommend highly. The front office is friendly and efficient so I'm not sure what happened with Grace H. I have gone to Dr. King for several years now and never had a problem, either with her or her staff. She is one of the best in town. read more

Let me start off by saying I have never left a review for a doctor (good or bad) but I feel it is important to share my experience with Dr. King. Dr. Glenda King is the most professional, kind, understanding, and sincere Doctor that I have ever seen. I have been seeing Dr. King for over 3 years now with an Achilles tendon issue. She has been treating my Achilles for major pain in the hopes of it getting better and to not have surgery. Unfortunately, while on a camping trip I ruptured my tendon. I called her office immediately to find out what I should do. She called me back within 5 minutes. She had her staff work me in the following day. She was able to get me scheduled for surgery asap. The tendon ruptured in 2 places and where it detached is rare so it ended up being major surgery. I now see her every week to change my bandage and for her to check on the progress. She has called me personally during the week and even on weekends to check on me. She goes above and beyond for her patients. I want to assure those reading the poor reviews regarding her staff that she now has new staff and they are wonderful! They call back when they say they will, they know you when you walk in and they are professional. Please take the older reviews for what they are, "older", and know that the staff has changed. I would recommend Dr. King's office to anyone who is in need of a professional, caring Podiatrist. read more

Very bad front office experience. Do not let these people handle your private health information. Not sure how the doctor is, as the front staff was so disorganized, rude and unprofessional that I had to walk out. I could hear the front office staff person loudly talking about a patient's private health information, she was rude to me about basic procedures, and failed to verify my insurance even though I called twice to check on that before coming. I notified the doctor who was not on the side of a potential patient, but defended the staff person's long tenure. I wasted weeks waiting for this appointment and took time off work to come. read more

Dr King is rude and unprofessional. I have never been a patient (Thank God). I had to deal with her in my capacity as an RN when I worked at a facility in Santa Fe. A few of the patients went to her. She would tell at staff that accompanied the patient telling them we were NBC IT following her orders. That was not true. She was treating patients beyond her capacity! Instead of sending g them to a surgeon when warranted, she continued to treat them and then blamed staff when the patient did not heal. Stay away! read more

Dr. King is phenomenal ! She wants her patients to get better. She takes the time to talk and listen to your concerns. She is very personable which makes going to the doctor enjoyable!
