One playground is situated behind a school and it is more ideal for older kids. The other playground is closer to the obstacle course and pickleball courts. This playground is ideal for children ages 1-8. Both playgrounds have plenty of slides, swings, and climbing structures for the kids to expense their energy. The obstacle course is a fun activity for adults. My brother and I challenged each other to see who could complete the course under a minute. It served as a good testament for some friendly sibling rivalry. The only downside is the tennis courts were converted to pickleball courts. So although it can still serve our purpose for tennis lessons, it isn't the most ideal with the small courts and lower nets.

Four Seasons park stretches from Finley Road on the west to Main Street on the east. The park…read moreoffers baseball, softball, and soccer fields; basketball and sand volleyball courts; playgrounds; picnic areas; and walking paths. There is a very large pond for fishing or simply admiring (no swimming). When winter conditions are right, the pond is available for ice skating. There is a steep hill in the park ideal for sledding too. In addition there is an historic log cabin on the Main Street side of the park available to rent. It has a small kitchen, a fireplace, and AC. It can accommodate 75 for a meeting or 50 for dining. I come to Four Seasons Park to walk , look for wildlife, listen to songbirds in spring, and watch the seasons change. The park is safe, spacious and well kept. There are large expanses of grass and on the south side of the park near the pond is a particularly pretty area with several large weeping willow trees. I especially enjoy the park in spring and fall because it is peaceful. You'll likely see many squirrels, Canada geese, ducks, and maybe a bunny. Watch your step in some areas! When I say many geese, I mean MANY geese. Meander around the sledding hill. There's a nice view from the top and, if you look carefully at the surrounding thickets, you'll find secret passageways. Hobbits?

I come here quite often (no autographs or photographs, please *puts on shades*)…read more I know that sounded pretentious. This is not a pretentious place. This is, however, a great place to collect your thoughts and blow off some steam. I've been doing a lot of pondering lately and I can use the Spring Creek Reservoir's walk/jog/run/bike/skate path to either get lost in my mind or to get away from it. It's very versatile. All kinds of people come here but it's never been crowded. You often see families having picnics off near the weather shelter area and there are a good amount of humans and dogs on the path, but I can show up at just about any time of day and know that I'll get a good workout without having to worry about too many bodies in the way. In fact, this is kinda great for people watching, and I once had a dude high five me for jogging in my "Beer Run" shirt. Even if there aren't any people present, you'll get an eyeful at the Forest Preserve. The scenery is gorgeous. There is tons of greenery, beautiful flowers, cute little rodents, and the occasional deer. Right now there are a bunch of grasshoppers and fuzzy caterpillars. I could take them or leave them, and I feel kinda bad that I keep mowing them down, but they are in my way and so abundant that it's almost impossible to miss all of them. But above all else, you should try to come to at least get a glimpse of one sunset. It's magical! The paved path is approximately 1.15 miles around, which I find to be practically perfect for training for 5Ks. There's a bit of an incline in places, but it's relatively flat. The fact that it's damn near flat means great leisurely biking and rollerblading, too. I started bringing my Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser down there and my thighs thank whomever leveled the route because that bike doesn't switch gears and going up any sort of steepness can be a literal pain in my ass.
