They are not honest. The employees all give different types of information when you call in and then when you walk in, it's a different story they try to charge you extra once you walk in, it's never what's actually on the contract then they try to give you some excuse that doesn't even make sense . Half the time their system is down or doesn't work they tell you to waste your time and come back on a different day. The employees are also very rude. I have been going to them for years, but I definitely will not do business with them again. I believe it's ran by new management and owner and the business is definitely not the same. I read your response back to my review and we both know it's a complete lie. So unprofessional of you as the owner to lie and say that I yelled at the employee, I was upset, which I most definitely had the right to be but I would never yell not my character or who I am, as a business owner and supervisor, you are obviously not doing your job correctly because you have not trained your employees to be respectful and apologetic when they are at the wrong but you as a business owner yourself had zero respect to apologize for something that clearly a customer is upset about and isn't in the wrong. You should know better as an owner very bad way to run business . You were not the one who spoke to me over the phone so for you to assume you know what information your employee gave me when as a customer I told you exactly what happened when I called in by phone. I was told bring the tickets in she did not once mentioned that the tickets for the same item have to be on a certain date or we will just charge you more. If it's the same item and you're able to pull it up on your system then all you were doing is just giving me a hard time like I said to make extra money off of what you already made from my jewelry for the many years I've been coming to this pawnshop. Again very poor customer service and very unprofessional, especially you as an owner for not taking responsibility at least apologizing to the customer and making sure customers leave happy so they can come back again and or refer other people. Like I mentioned, very disappointing and I will not do business with you again and unfortunately, I will let my family and friends know about my experience as well. Wishing your business luck hopefully next time you will treat customers better and you will train your employees to show more respect to customers and to give accurate information.. I recently got a collateral loan from Glendale Pawn shop and I want to recommend them to who ever is in need of a loan or even want to purchase from them. The staff treated me top notch, considering that I visited a couple of other pawn shops prior to visiting Glendale Pawn shop and felt that the other places wanted to take advantage of me at a voulnerable moment. I was embarrassed walking knowing my situation- but they made me feel comfortable. I've never pawned anything. But they helped me in a tight pinch. After it was all done..well let me tell you they have a whole little hidden gem of a store. I gotten bitten by them. I've purchased preloved name brand purses, I bought myself a BEAUTIFUL diamond pendant...it is an amazing piece. I just purchased new diamond earrings...so excited about these. The best part of them is that they have layaway plans. Which works perfect for me - the earrings are my birthday gift to myself. You have to stop by and take a look..great deals!! These people are incompetent and liars. I was trying to pawn some rare coins, Morgan Dollars, Trade Dollars and others and the woman told me that she would have to talk to her boss and took the coins into a back room (out of my sight) without even asking if that was okay! In the coin business that is a big no no. Since the boss man didn't trust his employee to make a decision he "had to look at them personally." I tried to leave my number with the woman and they said they don't call customers.. How stupid is that! They expected me to periodically call them to see if he was in. On top of that she told me that if i backed the loan by silver weight alone they would have to take 30% off the value because thats what they lose when they melt it. This is bullshit, Morgan Dollars and Trade Dollars are 90% silver. What a load of shit. Dont trust them, they wont give you a fair price... read more
