I have been coming for Glenda's for about 13 years now. A couple of years ago, i was going quite frequently and it's slowed down as of late. My normal esthetician, Sherry is no longer there and I had my first appointment with HeeSun. I selected the 90 minute purifying facial. And it was amazing! A small massage is included in the 90 minute facials and she is wonderful! My skin is glowing and I feel super relaxed. Glenda's is a nice, small, quaint little day spa. Please do not go expecting what you would find at the larger, fancy chains. Those are nice on occasion, don't get me wrong. I would certainly recommend Glenda's and now HeeSun who I am going to begin visiting regularly! I had previously rated my experience a 4 star. I've bumped it up today based on my experience with HeeSun. Just a note. There is a checkin special here through Yelp which does not appear to be valid. The receptionist indicated this is not supposed to be listed here, so until they pull it, you will likely have issues redeeming it. read more

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary a couple weeks ago and my parents surprised us each with a one-hour massage at Glendas. It's in a cute, little white house on a side street in Bel Air, away from all the big stores and traffic. The spa is on the second level and as you are going up the stairs you can hear slow, relaxing music playing. I love that the setting for this spa is in a house because it makes it feel much more homey and relaxing. The "trendy" spas seem too busy with people rushing around and I can't fully relax. The atmosphere here is very calm and soothing and definitely made my massage more enjoyable. Roseanne was my masseuse and she was very friendly. While I was filling out the initial visit form, she introduced herself and offered me a cup of water. She took me to the room and we talked about what areas I would like her to focus on and then she stepped out so I could get undressed. The next hour was completely wonderful and relaxing. Roseanne concentrated on my upper back and lightly touched upon other areas, just as I requested. After the hour was over, Roseanne left the room and I got dressed and met her back in the main waiting room where she gave me another cup of water. This is a strong 3 stars by the way. I came here for a couples' massage on Valentine's Day weekend. Everything went well. There really wasn't anything bad about this place. Everyone was nice. The massage went well. The space looked clean. You'll absolutely get a good massage here. I'm certain you get your money's worth for whatever you book here. I think my main issue was that there weren't any extra perks. It's in a house so that makes the space somewhat interesting. The entrance can get a little crammed. Upstairs in the waiting room there's a machine that dispenses water for tea, but no one directed me to it or offered it to me and there was a woman sitting right next to it so I didn't want to get in her space. So essentially what I'm saying is maybe they should rework the space to make things a bit more intuitive. But overall, a good massage. read more

I went to Glenda's for a day spa package. I got a hot stone massage, paraffin hand /foot treatment, facial, and body scrub buff. It was heavenly. The atmosphere was clean and relaxing, the staff were professional and skilled, and I had a wonderfully relaxing experience. Best facial I have ever had! read more

While visiting family in the area I decided to visit this holistic dayspa. What a lovely experience! Quaint and personalized services. Knowledgeable staff. Not your run of the mill chain spa atmosphere. I hope to visit again when I'm in the area! read more

Booked an appointment here for waxing. Small spa, but still fairly nice. Prices are competitive for the area. Both the person who greeted me at the spa, actually I believe it may have been the owner, Glenda and the technician were extremely friendly and personable. The technician used a comfortable wax temperature and a sure and efficient technique. My only small complaint is that it didn't feel very "spa," in atmosphere, but overall average to good service for the price. read more

A Lovely Little Spa! After receiving a gift certificate from my husband, I have been a customer of Glenda's Day Spa for almost three years and try to go monthly! While I typically schedule Liz for my massage, as she is awesome at her job, I have also had Susan and a couple others who are very wonderful as well. From the moment I walk in the door and up the steps, I instantly start feeling relaxed and on my way to a wonderful experience. The entire staff from the owner on down are friendly, caring, considerate and concerned about my needs and the service they provide. Being in the military I have been too many areas and have received massages at all of them; the services provided at Glenda's are not only excellent but at a reasonable price as well! I have to admit this is one little spa I am going to HATE having to leave when it is time for my husband and I to move on to our next assignment!! read more

This business is very homey and everyone is friendly and personable. It's not like other spas where they're just trying to get you in and out. I got a 90 minute massage with raindrop therapy. I probably don't need to get the raindrop therapy again, but I will absolutely be back. The only things that keep me from giving 5 stars is the price of the seemingly useless raindrop therapy and the fact that the room I was in was so cold that every time my therapist moved the sheet away from my body, I got chills. Glenda's Day Spa is an oasis of calm and serenity in Bel Air, Maryland. The décor is designed to put the client at ease. You feel pampered and valued the moment you enter the spa. Since the spa is located in a house, you feel like a welcome visitor. There is none of the hustle and bustle of many big spa franchises. The service is personalized and you will leave refreshed and renewed. All spa services are available. I have had massages and facials at Glenda's. It is the best spa experience I've personally had. I had a massage over the weekend. I booked it here becasue of the reviews. I have had many massages over the years normally at big day spas i.e. Renaissance Day Spa in Hunt Valley or Spa on the Avenue. First off I was suprised to see this was a converted house, which is not problem. I checked in, they were all very nice the decor is nice, quaint like a tea shop, my massage was down stairs. I met the guy doing the massage, first impression I was a little put off, however he was nice. The massage was just good, he was very light pressured and for the first time ever I was a little uncomfortable in the room with him. So I did not truely relax. The place was clean. This was a big change from the white robes and lemon flavored water that I am used to. My normal place has a huge womans relaxation room with an attached sauna and shower/locker room. I can understand the good reviews if you are a newbee to massage services and maybe if you had a different person massaging you. This is a great place for beginners, however for the exact same amount of money I can truely be pampered in a more spa like environment. I think for what you get the price is too high. read more
