I discovered, completely by chance, a duplicate payment of over $600, where both my insurer and I paid for the same service. It took an unreasonable amount of time for the office to acknowledge the overpayment, and I ultimately had to initiate a three-way call with the insurance company to get it resolved. Even then, my refund was only $585 because I had supposedly "hit the maximum." Had I known about this earlier, I would have scheduled my son's cleaning for January instead (new policy year). I also echo the concerns others have raised about aggressive upselling. I wish I had more time to explain how I uncovered this, but in short, check your statements carefully and think twice before trusting this practice.

The staff seemed much more interested in talking about how expensive the procedure would be, really more so than how they would be able to help. I specifically had the impression they were feeling us out for how much they might be able to charge us without too much complaining. Had things worked out, we would have both become patients. But their preoccupation with finance over care, really put us both I'll at ease.
