Excellent Service with Expert Knowledge! I recently had the pleasure of utilizing Dr. Podell's services. For years I've dealt with back pain issues. Having spent most of my adult life in the Marine Corps I was no stranger to the gym. Several years of physical stress has taken a toll on my body and especially my back. After waking up one morning barely able to stand up I decided to see a chiropractor and Dr. Podell came highly recommended by some friends. After an adjustment by the Dr. and a focused massage by Holly the pain immediately started to decrease. Two therapeutic massages later I feel like my old self and am back in the gym working towards my next goal. The staff here is incredibly professional and very nice. Not impressed. Had my first appt that I was rushed through and I recently made a second appt which I was given the wrong time and was told to pay the missed appt fee otherwise they were going to bill my insurance for the whole thing. Was told if I rushed down there I would still be able to see the doctor. Was there within 5 min and I paid what I thought was my co pay fee but it was just the no show fee and I did not get to see the doctor. The only reason they had me come down was because they couldn't find my chart to be able to bill my insurance. I couldn't believe they treated people this way, a money hungry establishment not appreciative of their patients. read more

Great doctor and massage therapists. Very friendly staff. I love that I can usually get an appointment immediately when I call!

They have a sub that just doesn't seem to know what hes doing ... he also has a practice in ridgecrest... the previous chiropractor passed away and nothing is on here stating that there is a fill in... the new guy I have seen twice and never once checked the length of my legs... something EVERY chiropractor does! Dr. Podell is a miracle healer! He worked on my husband s paralyzed arm for three months and my husband now has complete feeling and movement back in his arm! Dr. Is friendly communicative and professional. His massage therapist s are professional and caring and give that little extra advice for home care. There is a masseuse for every type of massage you prefer. I prefer deep tissue. Chris is awesome for knowing pressure points and working out deep hard to reach muscle aches! A complete waste of time and money. I would highly recommend any other chiropractic office besides this one and I haven't even been to them all. I've only been to Heritage; which was great. The first questions I was asked was about if I've gone to another chiropractor out here and why I didn't go back to them. The "doctor's" response to me was "So the only reason you came here was because they were closed?" Why the hell is that important?!?! He talked to me longer than working on me. When he was done doing whatever he thought he was doing, I had to ask him if that was it because it was so fast. I'll never go here again. I walked in with excruciating lower back pain and left the same exact way. I don't expect some miracle to happen in 10 mins or less but at least I could've walked out of there feeling a little looser and/or with less pain than I came in with; and the guy actually act like he's concerned and take pride in his job to send patients away feeling satisfied with the services. My girlfriend does a way better job on me than this chiropractor... and that's free. If there was a zero star option I'd choose that one. Go to Heritage and see Dr. Tom. That's actually worth the money. read more

I've been to Dr Podell twice and been able to make appointments very quickly. He was in my opinion very professional and was willing to entertain questions and provide education. I wanted to see if he would check and adjust my pelvis because of my pregnancy, but he declined doing any adjustments for that if I wasn't having any pain. I had him do some other adjustments based on historical problems I've had. I would love to give 5 stars, but rather than being able to call and ask questions to get a call back, the receptionist wanted me to come in person with any questions, so it wasn't as convenient as it could have been. read more
