He was able to accommodate our four legged family members as well which was very important to us. Once again, he did an amazing job and we can't wait to work with him in the future. We highly recommend his service. **Something we just learned was that all of our family photos came with a "unedited" watermark unlike wedding and event photos. You are allotted 10 photos to have edited (included w. your fee) but every additional photo will have to be edited and comes with an additional cost. For example if you have 30 photos altogether, you picked your top ten you'd like to have edited and want the other 20 for your photo album, you will have to pay for those photos without the watermark. We still recommend his services but it could turn into a $1000 expense if you like all of your photos like we did.

Our engagement photo shoot was in Richmond at the local marina. Ever professional, Preston scouted the location prior to our appointment and really turned out some wonderful shots. We did a change of clothes and were finished with our shots in all of 45 mins (which was perfect for our busy schedules and my ADD). He turned around our finished shots in 2 weeks and they were perfect. We used them for everything: Holiday cards, save the date, wedding invitation (video montage), wedding website, you name it, we did it. We hired Preston for the full 8 hours on our wedding day. He was able to shoot both bride and groom before the wedding and even some family shots prior. The ceremony photos he posted on the blog were splendid. He even met with me and the wedding planner the week prior to the ceremony to scout the site and hash out details. I could go on and on and on, but in sum, Preston is a consummate professional who is truly passionate about their work. he is never imposing and most of the time you hardly know he's there. I spent hours reviewing photographer's websites and Preston's was one that both myself and my husband could agree on. We knew at our first meeting with him in person that his photos were beautiful, his work was high quality, and that he would be easy to work with. Preston has a great easy going and professional demeanor. He accommodated our far flung locations and drove all the way to Santa Cruz for our engagement session and then to Grass Valley for our wedding, both of which are pretty long trips for him. On the day of the wedding, Preston showed up early and worked hard the full 8 hours. Having never been married before I had not a clue how the whole process worked, but trust in Preston to know what to do. He got shots of us, the wedding party, and our family members prior to the ceremony. The man works fast! He also had time to get all the little details before the ceremony. Post-ceremony was a bit of a blur for me and most of the time I didn't even know he was there, but he was catching all of the main events for the evening. I know Preston had to deal with photography demands from our family and wedding party and handled them like a pro. He also tried to catch my misbehaving dogs on film which required a bit of patience. (Speaking of hair, seriously if I could get Jessie to come to my house and do my hair like that every day, I would do it. Girl is skilled. And my makeup. I never like when someone else does my makeup, but she made me look amazing and I loved it.) The shoot was easy and fun. Getting even a good iPhone picture can be difficult! That said, after being a little disappointed with my daughter's six-month photo shoot results, I went in search of a new photographer for her nine-month/family session. Luckily for us, we found Tony. He impressed me from the beginning with his responsiveness and the instant willingness to do an outside photo shoot in December. Tony has an amazing eye for detail and carefully explained how he wanted to set up the various shots. He has a way of making you feel at ease and like you're not posing. My husband enjoys photography as a hobby, and Tony was generous with his tips and tricks. The results were amazing! He was able to capture her little personality beautifully. The pictures really are pieces of art-his skill just shines through. His way of capturing the light and the colors is pretty incredible. During our session we discovered how very warm and clearly passionate he is about what he does. We would even go so far as to call him the "baby whisperer". We were so impressed with how gentle and patient he was in handling our 14 day old newborn girl and his ability to swaddle and calm her so adeptly. We were so grateful to have the professional detailed handout on what to expect during the session and how to prepare. It just made it so much easier for us to know how the morning would go and what we could do to make it as pleasant of an experience for our baby and ourselves. On the morning of the shoot he was exactly on time. For us new parents trying to balance preparing with everything from nursing, eating breakfast, getting ready, and twelve other things, it was so appreciated that he was neither early nor late, the timing was just perfect. Tony is nothing if not prepared, he came with his bag of goodies and brought a good variety of baskets, outfits, wraps, backdrops, and even professional lighting equipment for our shoot so that we would receive a variety of unique photos and poses. He even brought a custom travel themed backdrop and setup after we had mentioned how much how much we love to travel! He was very flexible and patient during our shoot and even extended the session since we lost some extra time due to changing, feeding and general fussiness from our newborn.
