if you want a quality gym experience go somewhere else not here. it is a library where people sit on the equipment and watch their phones. or else they leave items on equipment to save them. it is a disastrous experience since fitness factory took over. Instead of 3 or 4 people lounging in the office they should get the ignorant members off the machines and their phones unless this is library and I have been misled. The cleanliness of the gym and the functionality of machines. I was using the sauna a couple weeks ago and I saw the BIGGEST roach in my life. nearly bigger than the size of my palm. I immediately left and reported it to a manager and nothing happened. So much broken equipment here. Luckily I had a free membership with the hotel. But I wouldn't pay for this place. I saw at least 4 treadmills broken with a sign. 2 others I got on didn't work and needed a sign. Elliptical equipment needs tuning up. Gym equipment is outdated. Looks like from a gym in the 80's. Parking for this facility is a blood sport. I am mobility-impaired and cannot walk long distances. I do, however, benefit from Aquacize. I pay $800+/year and only come here twice a week, because there is no nearby parking available. People from the hotel flood into the nearby spaces, regardless of the signs saying "Spa Parking". Half the nearby spaces were given to Columbia Physicians Group, which has 30 spaces for five cars. Management is oblivious to any suggestions and does NOT want to listen to your concerns. You are supposed to register for Aquacize classes, which fill up a week before the class. Many do NOT bother, and the pool is unsafely mobbed. Nobody enforces any rules. BTW, the spinner for wet bathing suits is always broken. Rumor has it that the management is changing, but nobody has told the paying customers anything about that. If you do not need a pool, look for better alternatives nearby. There is nobody on the floor to instruct you how to use the machines safely, and many are chronically broken. Calls to management go unanswered, and nobody knows when the management will be in. I called today, 9/10/2025 and was told the manager didn't come in yesterday and they had no idea when or if they would be in today. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. They have a policy that children four and up can only use same sex locker rooms, showers and bathrooms on the pool level. I used to bring my kids here for swimming lessons ages four and five. My son is four and a member complained that he shouldn't be with me in the women's section. They do not have accommodations for single moms that would like to give their children swimming lessons and shower/use the restroom after the lesson is over. Also if my son needs to use the rest room during the lesson, I have to take him to the ground floor (the pool is on the second floor). This is extremely inconvenient and would take up 15 minutes of a 30 minute swim lesson. I asked their GM Kevin to reconsider increasing the age limit since their facility cannot accommodate my family situation and he point blank said no. Also he communicated with me via email, didn't bother picking up the phone and having a conversation with me. Also, his writing skills were all chat GPT, artificial intelligence written emails. What kind of GM can't write emails on his own??? From my standpoint he could have come up with a solution as my child is only four and I cannot imagine how on earth he can make the women in the locker room and shower areas feel unsafe and uncomfortable... but it is what it is. This is the reason I cancelled my membership and will take my kids for swimming lessons elsewhere. There were other issues that I would like to mention with this review. The swimming pool water is not clean. It is murky. They drained the pool only once since I've been there and added clean water. You could tell they were trying to find creative unsanitary ways to save money. The pool is supposed to be heated but often enough the heating is broken and the water is cold. The showers were broken on several occasions. Their hot tub was broken as well on several occasions, and their facility is outdated and needs a serious facelift. Finally, scheduling the lessons was a hassle too. Lots of last minute cancellations from the swimming instructors, or you book a class and the instructors don't know so they leave and you show up for the lesson and the instructor is gone, issues with their online app for making appointments, etc. Overall, they suck. Don't go here. There are many other options out there. This one is not worth it! read more

I have been a member for over 20 years. Pre pandemic they stopped supplying towels, yet there was no rate change. one cannot even buy or rent or borrow a towel. Last week there was no soap. They watered down some soap and put it in the bottles.that are supplied in the shower. three days later there is still no soap. Couldn't someone run to costco and buy a huge bottle of soap to tide them over till supply arrives Alternatively, send an email to your membership that soap supply is low so they know to bring their own. Glenpointe won't take your cancellation and then will put you in collections even if you fill out the paperwork. So I had been a member for almost 10 years. Last year I got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and was told by my doctor that gym activity would be strenuous. I called to cancel and was told to not worry they would take care of it. Imagine my surprise when I get a call from collections saying I owe them membership. I called and was told to fill out the quit the gym app.. which I did and sent back. I come here because of my trainer. And the people are veBut it is by no means a spa experience. The metal hinges in the bathroom are all rusted, tiles missing in some showers, the locker locking system is from the dinosaur age. No relaxation lounge for massage. And the gym? Equipment is crowded together. Layout makes no sense and cardio area in the morning is always too warm. I go in, work out, and get out. It's kind of sad because I've called like six times, wanting to speak to a representative to inquire about any specials they might offer before checking out other gyms. Unfortunately, they never returned my call other than one time. I'm very turned off by this, so I will be looking at other gyms where I stay, locked the common courtesy to even return the call. read more

I have been coming I have here on & off for 2 years now. There is ALWAYS a machine broken. The shoulder lateral raises has been broken for over 2 months. The pool & Whirlpool & steam room are amazing! Gym not so much. They have more calf machines then chest machines. FIX BROKEN MACHINES! read more

Here is our agreement for the 18 months (attached). It clearly shows that after 18 months if we don't cancel it goes month to month. Below the charge shows $62.91. Month to month is $79. So obviously someone renewed without asking us. And we had called to cancel our membership. We were charged for 11 months after. We sent in the cancellation notice as requested however when we tried to contact Kevin from Membership cancellation as he asked us to, he was first busy and said he would call back at 6:00 pm and didn't. We waited for his call. When we called back he had left without returning our call. It's so frustrating. sent us the cancellation notice. We sent it back to stop active membership. He said he would call after that and didn't. This is extremely poor customer service. Very disappointed in how our complaint has been handled and hope to escalate this till it is resolved. Considering we called to cancel 11 months ago and we were not taken care of, it's very frustrating to be calling again and again. Will someone who knows what to do please call up/ email us and take care of issuing us a refund for services not used and a membership duly canceled. read more

Glenpointe has so much to offer. They have many different classes you can take. The classes are really enjoyable and interactive. The trainers are really great as well. They really care about your ultimate goal and you reaching that goal. They really help you stay on track and truly care. The customer service is great. Everyone that I have encountered so far has been very helpful, respectful and knowledgeable. They have a large size pool with pretty decent hours. The facility itself is very clean, organized and modern. This gym is definitely a great gym to join! read more

The pool is way too small to do any laps. Best if you have a kid under 10 to utilize it otherwise find another pool for lap swimming.

I came to the gym to check out the pool with my 3 year old daughter last week. She was the first time there, but we got a no. So I decided to switch my gym, then I realized they charged me twice when I joined in. So I was trying to reach to the advisor frank k., but he was away. He asked me to go to Kevin P. What's interesting is when I asked about the fee, Kevin asked me to go and talk to frank.... I am not a native speaker. My story is I joined the gym last year, they charged me for that month, registration fee total 177.43$ and another charge of that month 79$ plus tax. It's sad because I used to really love this spot. I still love my personal trainer but it became too expensive. Costs kept going up for everything. Oddly, when my membership ended (through my company with a company discount), they offered me a lower cost than my company gave me. So does this mean my colleagues and I were paying more than other members? Also, other gyms (for the same price) allow me to go to gym to gym. Glenpointe is only one location. These days I'm not close enough to the location all week to make it useful. Sometimes I'm out of town. The final issue for me to not renew was that a lot of their classes have changed instructors and/or lost great instructors I had really loved. I heard a lot of my favorite instructors won't be there or returning. Really disappointing. read more

The place is no meat market and people generally keep to themselves and work out in a comfortable environment with good ambiance. The gym and machines were OK. Was a member for a few months and in that short time gym was closed for 2 weeks. Half of the locker room was closed for another 2 weeks at another time. Had to move away for work. Messaged Don (who signed me up) and never got a response to get info and get my account in order to avoid any problems. When he was trying to get me to sign up he would respond in minutes after that never heard from Him again. A payment didn't process once and I went to the gym and gave my new card. The receptionist charged the new card but did not save it in the computer so further payments couldn't be processed. (Poor service). no calls or emails to advise me and had a $80 dollar bill sent to collections thus affecting my credit. And this I blame Don and the receptionist for their poor attention and service and lack of communication. Will never recommend this gym. Needs more professional staff and management. read more

This gym does the job, but not much else. The music, like much of the equipment, reminds you of the eighties. The management caters to the senior citizen crowd by keeping things status quo and not modernizing the place. My biggest pet peeve is the "floor trainers"who if you ask for a spot on a lift, won't do it because they are all too old and injured! Then I ask, what are they there to do?? From out of town and tried to check in just now to get a workout in before leaving town. Went in to check in with the front desk, and the lady behind the counter was extremely dismissive and cold, and told me I couldn't work out because the gym was being cleaned from 11-12, and only trainers were allowed in there. The tone of her voice showed me that not only could she care less that I was being inconvenienced, but she has no business being the first person you encounter when entering the gym. Zero customer service credibility. Didn't say sorry or offer any other condolences for the inconvenience. I sum it up to being a Jersey thing, but from where I come from we don't treat people that way. Why don't you try smiling, engage with the customer, and show a little empathy and respect. some of the lighting in the men steam room was out. sat at the first seat i could find it was my first time in the steam room. the bench seat allows you to sit up against the wall where the the steam comes in. due to leg issues i did not feel the heat end ended up with 2nd &3rd degree foot burn. i reported the issues to management and the lighting was corrected but the sitting area in front of the steam entrance still can be a hazard and nothing has din done to prevent someone else from getting hurt. one last thing due to the injury i have to have 3 of my toes amputated. they still charge me monthly fee... shameless . read more

I am extremely picky, and a business really has to go above and beyond, or really disappoint for me to write a review. I have been coming here for about a year now, and everything is perfect. The equipment is always clean and always working. They have an endless supply of towels, the temperature is always right and the people that work there from the porters, trainers, office staff, and even the owner (i think he is) are extremely nice. Definitely the worst gym in Bergen County, prices are terrible compared to other options, facilities remind me of a larger version of your typical hotel gym, wish some of the trainers and staff were friendlier, $70 to $90 a month with different enrollment fees, If really clean, upscale gym is desired, might as well price up to something like Equinox, and really get the deluxe treatment and environment, Blink and 24Hr seem to have a lot of really enthusiastic and capable personal trainers, Check out Retro in Hackensack, Blink in Paramus, Crunch, Metro in Fort Lee which is new, super clean and not crowded, Fitness Factory in Pal Park.. I believe $20 a month except Fitness Factory which is $30 a month, and with Metro and Blink the $20 memberships, you can bring even the same guest every time for free, 24Hr Fitness in Englewood Cliffs is $50 a month, pool is huge, better hours, much cleaner, friendlier staff, Coming from managerial experience in the health and fitness industry, I'm left with the conclusion that maybe the spa services are the highlight, possibly? I think the only people that work out here are employees of other corporate conpanies in the building, other than that idk why anyone would pay to come to this gym. read more

The management is so trashy. They have a bunch of freaks there, aside from only two normal young guys. I heard sone lady who was higher up yelling at her co workers once about some papers that had to be filed and to be honest she was speaking so in appropriate and belittling, almost like a bully. Definitely the only place I have actually enjoyed going to the gym! The great factor of this place is that it is conveniently located in a corporate building, so the people that come are super nice (a.k.a those muscle heads are not seen here) and just normal people looking to get some exercise in after a day working a long 9-5. The facilities are super clean and maintained. They provide a sauna, full showers and extensive locker space plus more that make it super easy for you to get to the gym and get back to work as beautifully as possible! The classes are probably the thing that makes me most happy about Glenpointe. I have taken pilates, total body circuit, zumba, and piyo with awesome, knowledgeable trainers every Monday through Thurs to help me get on the track to fitness. No matter what time you are able to go there is a class available. They also give a lot of freebies when you join - free massage, free training session & discounts. My wife signed up my twin boys for swim lessons. We were told that for a fee we could pay to let them play in the pool (we're not members of the full gym). First lesson: we get email notice confirming lesson. My wife goes to the pool 1 hour before the lesson to be told the pool was closed due to bad weather (glass ceiling and lightning) and has been closed since 3:00 p.m. (lesson is for 4:30). Tried to speak to manager of the pool but she was unavailable. Spoke to general manager, Lauren, and was told the decision to cancel the lesson due to the weather was done after my wife was at the pool (a little after 4:00 p.m.). So the decision to cancel the lesson was done well over an hour since the pool was already closed due to bad weather... Second lesson: we get email notice confirming lesson. My wife goes with the twins again to the pool to be told the pool was closed due to maintenance for the next 2 weeks and we should've noticed the signs of the scheduled pool closure? WHY SEND AN EMAIL NOTICE CONFIRMING THE LESSON!!!! Requested a refund which the swim manager said would be processed. Checked back in 2 days later and now am told that the manager needs to approve it and the swim manager hasn't had a chance to speak to the general manager? Customer Service = zero stars. read more

They now have WIFI! This is the first gym membership that I've gotten outside from having access to the campus gym. One of the key selling factors was that it's conveniently located in the same building as work! I have absolutely no excuse not to go workout. There's a large variety of machines and you'll never experience large amounts of traffic that will lead to a wait time. They also have a lot of weight machines and of course free weights. This place is super clean with wet wipes readily available to clean machines and towels are provided. They have a swimming pool upstairs as well as a spa. The locker rooms are super clean and they provide everything you can imagine such as hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner and other necessities to get ready for work after a morning workout. My favorite class is TBC (total body circuit) you'll definitely be feeling your workout for a day or two after. All the trainers are super friendly and welcoming. When you sign up you also get lots of perks such as a free personal training session, spa session and swimming lesson! If you work in the building you might even qualify for a discount. read more

Overall, solid gym Even though there is two levels, the main area is kind of small but still there is a available equipment left to use. There is a pool and a tanning area on the 2nd floor which I liked upon signing, but later realized the elderly and small kids usually are taking it over. The clientele is MUCH older than I'm use to but it doesn't effect me since I'm usually focused going in. One thing I really like about this gym that it is immaculately clean all the time and clean towels everywhere, also the bathrooms are great too several private shower stalls. Thanks to the knowledgeable group fitness director, each instructor on a scale from 1-5 would receive a 5 rating from me. there are many elderly clients here but so what; one day we will all be elderly. The downsides: The Spa is located next two the Marriott at Glenpointe. parking is a nightmare when there is an event at the hotel. This seems like every other night. Additionally, i'm a spin fanatic and I find their bikes OLD! For the monthly dues that they want, i feel it's not worth the money. read more

I have been a proud member for 25 years. It is friendly gym - not intimidating. The environment, staff, and the members make this great venue to work out. I have many friends there from over the years and my favorite trainer - Joe. The recent remodel has made some nice updates and there are more good things to come. I would like to thank Kavita & the Staff at the Glenpointe Spa who took their time putting together a WONDERFUL pool party for my son's birthday. The room was well decorate with decorations and balloons, the kids had a blast, they enjoy pizza & drinks , the kids were dancing, everything was in placed, My guests still talking about my party, The men / women are still talking how enjoy the Privacy they got in the lockers and how they enjoy the POOL, the water was just right, not too HOT / or too COLD.
