Extremely rude women work here as admins, acting and speaking with more authority than they have, and communicating in a tone that is just uncalled for. They are strangely defensive and emotionally charged. One woman even had a "scolding" tone that she maintained for the duration of our call, even when I was only asking the most basic of questions about a permit. This is how the people who work at the village treat their residents? Shame that this is where our sky high property taxes go. So much for creating a sense of community! Do better Glenview!

I met a few people from other cities and even even other countries. This was just a dream come true to stand in front of the famous Home Alone House. And then they won't…read moreactually provide a means for you to pay your ticket (electronic tickets mysteriously aren't available in their system online (even though they're electronic) so you have to mail in your payment). Then, after mailing in your payment you will be repeatedly told that your payment was lost in the mail, during which time the amount owed will continue to escalate. And because someone thinks it's 1972, you can't pay electronically. During which time you will waste hours and hours talking to different unhelpful people who transfer you to lines that cut you off or to hold music from which no one ever picks up. All just trying to pay a parking ticket. Incompetence and entrapment at its worst. A lovely place otherwise but not worth the ineptitude and bureaucratic hell that comes with a visit.

Also it's so close to the Glen area, so if you have some extra time before the train arrives you can easily walk over there and grab other food options.
