I guess I've never reviewed this shopping complex, but we've been here a million times over the 13…read moreyears we've lived in the vicinity. The massive area was previously the site of the Glenview Naval Air Station and this shopping center is the heart of the huge Glen residential community as well. There are numerous shops and restaurants here and it's always a pleasant experience to visit. Like Fashion Outlets in Rosemont, every time we visit there is something new here. One business or another has left and another has stepped in. The rent must be high here, and if you don't continually draw the requisite traffic, you won't survive. We've seen a lot of businesses come and go. Remember Ted's Montana Grill? - it was a favorite of ours and also one of the first to disappointingly close in our earlier years, and that's now The Oak at the Glen, and in a prime location. Some of our favorite and long standing and still standing businesses here are Von Maur, Dick's Sporting Goods, and the Yard House. I could probably name another 20 shops or restaurants we liked or tried here, but that have all since closed. Jibek Jolu is a relatively recent addition that we like for what that's worth. We were going to try Dee's Place (soul food) one day, but dang, they closed before we even got to it, and that was a big investment in a large space for that restauranteur, and too bad. It can get busy and crowded, but nicely there is alway parking to be found in one of their parking lots. Oh well, business is tough here for the tenants, but for us consumers, this is a great upscale town center.

The only reason I'm giving it three stars frankly is because even in the last almost 20 years I believe that they've been open unfortunately there's been a lot of turnover when it comes to the restaurants. I'm not sure if this is simply due to high rent, but there's really nothing that the Glen or its Landlord are doing in order to provide any real stability and it's rather unfortunate. Also, since this place was built, the parking situation has always been a challenge and it continues to be. In fact, it just gets worse with all these special parking places and reserve spaces that continue on the main strip. I do hope that things get better, but with the way that it has been structured and built there really is no opportunity for expansion whether being retail and restaurant space or even for parking I will say it's been great to see the movie theater Von Maur as an example of two establishments that have been here I believed the entire time this place has been open Similar to a lot of other moles, there's a lot of empty spaces and vacancies and it's very sad especially when it's surrounded by million dollar homes in a suburb of additional multimillion dollar homes

It's been over a decade since I've been to this mall so I was very excited to return. Thankfully, the parking garage was right next to the mall, so it was a short walk to the entrance. The outdoor mall was extremely clean and absolutely beautiful. We browsed in and out of a few different stores and everyone was very nice and attentive. The one store that caught our attention was Laderach, which was a Swiss chocolate store. We were able to sample truffles and chocolate bars and it was probably the best tasting chocolate we've ever had. We also stopped in to Coach and I ended up buying my daughter a cute, Coach bag. With stores like Zara, Fabletics, Alo, Louis Vuitton and Nordstrom, you truly get a great, shopping experience at this mall; there's something here for everyone. There's also ample seating as well. If you're in the Chicagoland area, this is definitely the mall to visit. You will not be disappointed!

The old system had fobs that they never gave me even though I made 3 seperate trips to try to get it during business hours. Finally with their new system I to a sticker. Unfortunately it doesn't work and they only gave me one when I have 2 cars. City of Evanston will give you tickets for no registration sticker even though its not on the street. Terrible god damm service. Avoid at all costs. Just today they threatened me by forever banning me from the site and screamed at the lady through the payment kiosk help button to not remotely open the gate. He tried to have me login to prove my parking account exists, but the lady was scared of the yelling and opened it. I left screaming out the windows ban me its literally my last day in Chicago. Adding on: I called and they apologized saying it was their mistake on their systems. Regardless the disrespect from the employee was insane. Wasn't even clear he was an employee for the first minute of that tense interaction. When they switched to the new system. They tried to look me up and found my monthly account paying $175 a month but still asked me to pay the daily rate to open the gate since I didn't have the sticker. It was literally over $1 they were trying to hassel me over even though I pay $175. In the in between I changed it over to just the single garage (Maple) instead of the 3 car garage. Again over their mistake they decide they'll ruin my mood. Im the last guy to leave reviews especially bad ones but the disrespect left me furious. Again I am not the type to leave a review. No matter how minor my question or how pleasant my tone, I have been met with unnecessary rudeness and coldness every single time. I hate to use the word "Karen" but it fits. Extremely rude women work here as admins, acting and speaking with more authority than they have, and communicating in a tone that is just uncalled for. They are strangely defensive and emotionally charged. One woman even had a "scolding" tone that she maintained for the duration of our call, even when I was only asking the most basic of questions about a permit. This is how the people who work at the village treat their residents? Shame that this is where our sky high property taxes go. So much for creating a sense of community! Do better Glenview!
