However, tonight my wife and I were enjoying Sunday at the Tiki Bar. Suddenly we smelled the cigarette smoke coming from some folks by the fire pit area. I saw the Manager return from the smokers and claimed he addressed the situation as best he could. My better half is close to requiring an oxygen tank. The last thing she needs is second hand smoke. Please ensure to enforce our "No Smoking" restaurant policy equally amongst those who violate such policies.

In fact, a cop pulled me over and the first thing he asked me was, "Do you love horses?" I told him they were my life and he let me off the hook. I wasn't in Ocala or at OcalaBets for horses though. I was here for a poker tourney. After the tourney, I went to the bar and ordered some food, which was Steak Tips & Rice. It was served in a bowl that slopes downward toward you, which is always cool. If being a Pro Skater or Surfer is Cool Level 10, it always makes me feel like I'm at Cool Level 8.7, which is pretty high! And the food was delicious. I kept searching for one more grain of rice so I wouldn't be done yet, but eventually I was done. This made me sad. But then I chose to focus on the positive memories and I was happy again. The service here is strong. Everyone is friendly and efficient. Even the chef came out to say hello. The atmosphere is also a big win, but that's only if you're comfortable in a horse racing/poker environment. I would look past that anyway and go straight to the bar for food. It starts out between houses and then the back nine opens up and it's really quite lovely and somewhat challenging. The course was in great shape, pro shop staff was friendly and I wish I could remember her name but the gal that runs the small snack shop does a great job and is super helpful. It's fun to go up and stay in this area and play this course as well as Juliette Falls, Black Diamond, Skyview, and a few other gems in the area

The shop is small and had a lot of great items especially the sale rack, but the mediums run like extra large! Nothing was small enough for us. Two rounds plus cart and range balls was $169. Not bad. The drive to the range is a little far- so keep that in mind when you plan your arrival time. We received a gas cart so it was kinda slow and noisy. Our mates had an electric car, so they have both. Our cart also did not have a rake, so we borrowed theirs as needed. Carts do not have GPS or a speaker. Bring your own. We heard there was a gal on the course. We passed her and she never caught up to us. Luckily we bought stuff before we started and refilled at the turn. There are bathrooms along the course, right after the second hole and the same one is after the sixth. There's another one on the backside as well as the club. The bathroom stations are clean, separate men and women and have water. Every hole has water. The course was well maintained. Ranger was around to keep everyone on time. We finished first nine in 1:40. I did not keep track of time on the back 9. I would definitely golf here again. It's a bit far but worth the drive.

The tee boxes are always well kept and the fairways are like hitting of a carpet. The staff in the club house was so nice and helpful. If your within an hour this golf course is well worth the drive. Oh, make sure that you bring PLENTY of balls because there's water on EVERY hole that comes into play if you hit an errant shot. I'll surely be back soon, I hope to see you there.

I've now played here four weekends in a row. The staff is terrific, the layout rivals most high-end courses in Central Florida, and the conditions are consistently strong. They recently opened the signature par 3, and let me tell you--it'll test even a scratch golfer. Definitely recommend giving this place a try, no matter the commute.
