This daycare is horrible, they are understaffed and very unorganized. Staff is not as welcoming as they could be, most look like they have had a bad morning. The director cares more about enrolling children but lack the needed staff to care for them. The toys and equipment is falling apart. Teachers are walking out of the classroom, leaving their co teachers alone and the children in danger. I highly recommend you unenroll your children as soon as possible. read more

We LOVE Glenview Knowledge Beginnings and cannot say enough good things about them! The staff is absolutely wonderful and genuinely cares about our little one. We've been at KB since our little one was about 5 months old and now a year and a half later, we're just as satisfied (if not more so) than on the first day. I'm consistently amazed with the quality of the teaching and cannot believe how much my little one has learned while in their care. Every day there is a new activity, song or art project to provide engagement and learning opportunities. The teachers also work with me on specific goals, watch out for specific behaviors, and are always helpful and friendly. They truly feel like an extension of our family. The location is great and the space in the building is fabulous too. The classrooms are large and bright, there are flexible and multi-purpose indoor spaces, and also plenty of space to play outside in age-appropriate and fenced in playgrounds. As a parent, not only do I appreciate that my child is welcomed, by name, every time a teacher or staff member sees them but that I am also greeted by name each and every time I enter the building. The front office staff takes a personal interest in me and my family and are always willing to listen and troubleshoot if I have any problems or questions. As a new (working) parent, your biggest stress is making sure your kiddo is in the proper care. We decided against daycare in the beginning, but then had two unfortunate incidents with nannys that lead us to the decision to place our daughter in daycare. We did a lot if research, and found Knowledge Beginnings the best option all around (value, convenience and curriculum). From day one, we felt instant comfort from the staff. That was a big piece for us, as being new parents you want to know your kids are in good hands. My daughter loves her teachers, so much! She reaches for them at hand off in the AM and I know she feels safe. That is #1 for my husband and I! We get daily photos and updates which ease our mind and remind us we made the right decision. The moment I stepped in KB I felt welcomed, the warmth, and the care. My two year old daughters first time in daycare, I was scared and worried but in all honesty The staff is amazing. I called 20 times a day to check on her the first week, each time I called they reassured me that she's in good hands. I love Glenview Knowledge Beginnings and the love they have for my daughter. We absolutely love the staff. We've been going here since November 2020. They've helped me raise my daughter every step of the way. My daughter loves going to school every day, gets so excited to see all the staff and they get excited when they see her too. I have nothing but good things to say about KB here in Glenview. In the last year and a half, they've started group/parent events and it's been great to see people, meet all of my daughter's friends, and see the joy everyone has! You know that saying, Location Location Location? Well, the location is good, but Director Director Director!! I'd be lying if I said we didn't have some issues when we first started here. We went through countless Directors, Teachers and Students (kids), but the current Director has really turned everything around. It has to be around a year now since she took over, and it has been a night and day difference. I'm really glad we decided to stick it out, because there is no where I'd feel more comfortable leaving my 2.5yo for 8-10 hours a day. Additionally, our 6yo just started public 1st grade, after attending private PreK and Kindergarten at KB, and she definitely seems to have an advantage over the students who didn't go to KB. My kids have been in this day care for almost 4 years. They have come home with bites, bruises, and cuts all from being in their care. Each and every time all I was asked to do is sign a slip acknowledging this happened. Recently, my son had an accident at home and went to school with a superficial cut on his finger. One time in 3 years, and DCFS was called on my family by Darcy and Debby. They claimed false allegations and negligence for my family, yet they would smile at me as if they hadn't done anything wrong. These are people that we trusted with our kids. DCFS investigated and closed the file within 24 hours, but the shock me and my family went through will never go away. So parents, please be aware of this establishment, as they not in the best interest of your kids and family based on what I learned with my personal experience that I had with them. read more

Our child started at Knowledge Beginnings right at the start of the pandemic, and I can't give enough positive feedback. They've taken precautions and are very communicative. Beyond COVID, our child is thriving, in general. The class size is terrific. The curriculum is interesting. And our child is advancing in a year when many kids are falling behind. We transitioned our daughter to KB Glenview when we moved out to the suburbs. She started in the infant room and is now with the toddlers. We could not be happier! Since day one everyone was welcoming, supportive, knowledgeable and extremely caring. The teachers are nothing short of fantastic! My daughter runs into school every morning and straight to the teachers and often wants to keep playing longer when we pick her up. They keep us up-to-date on all of her activities and talk to us each morning/afternoon. She absolutely loves it here which makes me extremely happy. Any questions i have are also promptly answered and addressed. The activities are great for the kids developmental skills as well! read more

I have nothing but GREAT things to say about this school. After moving from the other side of the world, our older daughter really struggled to adjust to another preschool, so we thought of changing to KB and they received our 3 kids with open arms, in no time. After few weeks in this school, my daughter was back to her normal happy-confident self, which was key to build her confidence to move into Elementary school. My younger 2 kids are still there and absolutely loving it. It's a heartwarming community of great educators and staff. Moving to this school was the best decision we made for our family. read more

My family moved to Glenview a few months ago and our biggest fear was finding a daycare for our 1-year-old and 3-year-old. Those fears quickly dissolved the minute we walked into Glenview Knowledge Beginnings. The directors and the teachers are amazing. They are kind, knowledgeable, passionate about the kids, and extremely flexible and understanding with any requests we have. The center is clean, safe, and promotes a positive and fun learning atmosphere. My sons walk in and leave with a smile everyday. We have 2 children at Knowledge Beginnings. Our oldest started in September 2014, so we've been there for more than 2 years. The facilities are great - lots of room, two separate playgrounds for the bigger kids and little kids and an enrichment room. The facilities are very clean. They provide 2 meals and a snack, and the menu is varied. The staff are really good and we have developed some great relationships. They are open long hours and the flexing this allows is very important to us. My one complaint is the staff turnover is much more frequent than I would like. The tuition is also high but not outrageous for this area. read more

Most of teachers were nice the Director was awful!! I have never been treated so poorly. She Discriminated against my family several time before I just pulled my 1 year old out! After I pulled my child out of the center the room teachers expressed the high turnover right for staff and families do to the Director not treating them fair. I really think people like her should not be in child care. Their classes were always short staffed and she had to fill in for them. It seemed to be more kids then help which is not fair to the staff of the babies. read more

I have been sending my children to Knowledge Beginnings since April 2015. Both of my children couldn't be happier at KB. My children LOVE the teachers and my 4 year old has made many friends since starting at Knowledge Beginnings. The center director is very responsive to parent feedback. She does a great job of supporting the growth and happiness of both the children at the center and the teachers on staff. Also, Su Cutler, the District Manager, is amazing. She's very engaged and fosters a nurturing environment for the center. Our daughter just started here about 2 months ago. She was understandably apprehensive, as this is her first time in daycare (which we called "camp" and now is "school"). But the staff there - at all levels - has been so amazingly supportive, warm and welcoming. I've never heard a teacher or any staff member raise their voice, but I have seen them calmly explain why a behavior is wrong. And when a child is upset (crying about mommy or daddy leaving, etc.), the staff is able to redirect them in a gentle way, which looks to me like magic and is something we're doing now at home. We love getting the photos of what she's doing throughout the day, and the summary after the day ends. We're able to ask her specific questions about what she did, who she played with, and what she ate, and she loves talking about it. I've seen her blossom as she feels more and more comfortable, and while she still cries sometimes when I drop her off, I know it's because she's 3, not because she's unhappy at school.
