Shot a 30 on the back nine yesterday, Soup was on the house!! After my soup, I enjoyed some nice relaxation in the sauna. Fine gentlemen in there, I talked to my co-worker, Edith's, ex-husband, Roger, and it was good to check in on Edith post-INT. I digress. Table Creek is a fine establishment for golf, heart-warming conversations, and a fine bowl of Split Pea. I will probably make the drive back, as it is not far from my house, hopefully I can get a couple more shoots in before the weather turns south. I am excited to see how the leaves change, as since moving to Nebraska, the scenery hasn't been as exciting as I please- LOCALS ANY ADVICE? I guess I am a local, sigh. The Enchiladas that took up an entire styrofoam take out container and were smothered in melted cheese, fresh lettuce, and a wonderful homemade salsa were less than half the size, soggy from swimming in some watery approximation of mole' and filled with unseasoned ground beef. A good thing gone horribly bad. Too bad, it WAS really good.

A nice mix of hazards- sand traps at a lot of holes and a few water hazards. Some of the sand traps were in rough shape, several had standing water. Most of the greens were in good shape, surprisingly fast but every once on a while there would be a green with dirt patches. Several tee boxes were also any issue, a couple had no grass whatsoever, it was odd. I was here for a tournament and the beer cart girls came around and regular intervals and the club house staff offered up a free keg when the tournament in front of us delayed our start.

They had a patio attached to the private room where we threw the party that had a beautiful view of the river to enjoy and a little grassy area next to it where we were able to have some games for the kids. Everything was set up beautifully in the room for us and the entire staff was super friendly and accommodating! My parents had an amazing time and said it was an unforgettable experience! The second we arrived I knew I was in for a challenge. When we walked into the proshop we were greeted by a delightful labrador who was super sweet and let me scratch her belly. :-) Right now they are running fall special, $1/hole with a cart so it only cost us $18 to play 9 holes which was great! Off the first tee I lost 3 balls to the house directly to the right of the tee box. Why, well I have a tendency to pull my head and not follow through. Hey! I'm working on it! I really did enjoy playing on a course that had hills and brush and sand traps. It helped me learn a few new tricks. I'll definitely be back to play this course. I'll aim to lose less balls next time I'm there though! :-)
